- I'm really "afraid" of the MMR improvement. Because many times I encounter mediocre killers who win only because they're favored by the current crazy MMR. So the "average killer" will start to struggle to win and this will only mean further buffs for the killer. I'd prefer to leave it as it is.🤣
-
- Considering a Vecna of "average" skill (i.e. not too good, but not too bad either), it is not OP. His M2 is really easy to dodge, much easier than Pyramid Head's M2 for example. In my opinion, Devs should revisit the Clock mechanic: Survivors waste way too much time with the clock... I think he's the longest "secondary objective" killer in the game, longer than Pig and his Bear Traps, longer than Pinhead and his cube, longer than Alien and his turrets. This is why Hex Totem builds are so common with Vecna. Considering his power and good mobility, he doesn't need this extra "help." I would fix this by adding 1 more clock to the map, decreasing the music listening "time", and if 2 survivors listen to music, the time should be LITERALLY halved, currently if 2 survivors listen to music, it changes almost nothing.
-
- Kaneki's "free" hit behind walls or rocks has nothing to do with ping... so does that mean all Kanekis have bad ping? I never understood his power... I guess he's like Pyramid Head or New Vecna who has this ability to hit behind objects
-
- Anti-tunneling wasn't implemented because it was too convenient for the survivors, but the problem is that tunneling is too convenient for the killers today. Given the game's structure and overall objectives, eliminating one survivor from the trial as quickly as possible is too convenient. Sure, you can still win as a survivor, but it's extremely difficult, because the entire game is based on four survivors against one killer. I would implement a SIMPLE comeback mechanism... if one survivor dies too early in the trial, the remaining survivors get a 5% boost in completing the generators. Viceversa, if the killer has too few hooks and two generators remain to complete, they get a 5% slowdown in completing the generators. In short, it's more or less the same as 2vs8.
-
- The most effective counter is to be unpredictable. If you're in an "open" area, you're in the safest place on the map. If Vecna is patient (few Vecna are), then it's difficult to dodge. Pallets and windows (unlike any other killer) are to be avoided... but they are EXCELLENT for creating misdirections... run towards a pallet and at the last second change direction... it works 80% of the time (except with patient Vecna).
-
- I don't have much experience with PvP games, but from my experience, playing casual mode on Fortnite doesn't mean you'll find players at your level... anyway, you'll almost always have a phenomenon that wipes out the entire lobby. Why shouldn't it be the same in DBD? And yes, Fortnite has both casual and ranked modes.

- I'm interested in the perk combo that lets you do gens in 17 seconds... could someone tell me this secret?🤣

S tier ragebait is clever and not obvious. This is like E tier ragebait. With an F for effort.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4053438#Comment_4053438
Tbf it can be fun to run occasionally. On a genrushy build. Dead hard doesn't work well for it anymore because you have to take hooks. But plot twist can be a good one to sneak out of chase. maybe add power struggle for a bit of extra spice.
- I use No Mither + spider invocation + resilience + DH... it's a "challenging" build, but when it works, it's really strong
-
- For me, survivors are like Barbie/Ken dolls, so being an "imaginative child" I love having a Barbie with a different look than usual.😁
-
LOL🤣 obviously you're joking, but I think NO Mither is not as horrible a perk as everyone thinks
-
- When survivors perform a good loop, they're toxic.
- When survivors hold W, they're toxic or hackers.
- When survivors pre-drop pallets, they're toxic and annoying.
- When they're greedy with pallets and don't drop them, they're toxic.
So what exactly should survivors do? -
- I understand that survivor perks can't be as good as killer perks, but it's absurd that 80% of survivor perks are so situational, so specific, or desperately need two other perks to be worth anything. Especially in recent years, except for Finesse and Cage's perks, no perk really stands out.
-
- I agree, Distortion should start with 3 tokens, but tokens should be refilled ONLY on chase... problem solved.
-
- Poor Blight, he would definitely get banned by me, I'm just exhausted by him... For a long time, he was a lot of fun to play against, but I encounter him so frequently that it literally feels like I'm playing Dead by Blight. That's okay, it's not fair to ban anyone, after all, the REAL DBD is also suffering.🤣
-
- With the Devs' modern mentality, I think the opposite is more likely, meaning Dredge and Sadako won't have any colddown at the start of the game. What difference does it make between them if I'm Billy and I can get close to you in literally 3 seconds? I'm referring especially to open maps that always have plenty of maneuvering space that's easy to navigate, even for those who aren't super-skilled Billys.
-
- I'll tell you my point of view. It's normal for survivors to be MUCH more efficient than before. If 80% of your matches are against Blight, Nurse, Kaneki, Oni... your only hope of victory is to accelerate generator progress as much as possible. Against many killers, healing isn't the smartest choice (Kaneki, Myers), so you'll have no choice but to complete generators. If 50% of your matches have a teammate tunneling hard, even in this case, your only hope of victory is to accelerate the generators. If you have this training, you'll obviously carry this mentality even when you go against Pig, or when the killer doesn't tunnel at all. Gone are the days when survivors were wandering around (unproductively) with flashlight and flashbang, or the buckle-up + for the people combo, or (only those who are really old in the game will remember this) Megs wandering around the map breaking useless totems... now wasting time is punished very severely

The other Vittorio I can think of has to be @Firellius, and of course the Nancy one is @CountOfTheFog
I genuinely miss the universal codes though, as all we get nowadays are cryptic personal ones.
And you sir, you are definitely iconic, much thanks to your trademark bullet-points- Yes you are right, thanks <3
-
- Thanks for mentioning me... I don't remember anyone, I'm 47 and have a terrible memory.🤣 I obviously read the content, but I rarely pay attention to who wrote it. I only remember well UnicornMedal because his nickname is very funny, another user whose image is Vittorio, with whom I often agree, and then a user whose image is Nancy, who is very kind and always announces new products or promotional codes.
Edit: I think the user I was talking about (Vittorio) is called @Firellius
-
- While I completely agree with the blocking of self-unhooking, in fact in some occasions this blocking only favors the killers, it is impossible to deny it. But it's okay anyway, at least for survivors it is allowed to do "free DC"
-
New Vecna, Dracula (tranne quelli che usano esclusivamente la forma lupo), old Vecna, Nurse (except the world champions with bandanas and knives between their teeth), Pyramid Head.
-
- I agree it's a good perk, it's very situational, but when it works it's really strong... but in general, if you want to become really good at the killer role, you should use it very rarely (my opinion)
-
- The game is over, bloodpoints are retained, so why waste time? By the time the MORI animation finishes, you can already queue for the next game.🤣Seeing Blight's mori for the 101st time is not the best use of my time. For me, who spends a maximum of 1 hour a day playing video games, any time saved is precious. Finally everyone uses their time as they prefer, for example there are those who love to watch the fire burning or the paint on the wall drying
-
- Recommend your friends to play the killer role. When you start playing DBD it's MUCH easier and at the same time they'll learn the logic of loops.
-
- Disclaimer: I'm a player in love with OoO and use it in every game. Now "We See You" is out, and you can imagine I'm feeling really on honeymoon right now. 🤣 Yes, "Distortion" needs a buff; it should start with 3 tokens, but you can ONLY recharge them in chases. As usual, when Devs nerf a survivor perk, they don't just "fix" it, they destroy it directly.🤣
-
- Unknown isn't weak, but the design philosophy for killers has changed over time, making this killer seem like he needs some buffs. In reality, it just requires thoughtfulness and skill to be used effectively. New Vecna is the most obvious example of this shift in philosophy; a minimum amount of skill is still required, of course, but if I can spam my power endlessly, I'm allowed to make a lot of mistakes. Another example might be Krasue with her auto-aim, or Kaneki's EXTREMELY generous hitboxes... the new philosophy is "use your power endlessly and without worrying about anything, sooner or later some hits will land." In short, the new philosophy is "less effort, but a guaranteed result." Another example is Artist. Initially, Artist was considered a strong killer, a solid A tier... now she's dropped down every tier list because she actually requires effort and mentality to play well. Has Artist changed? No, she's more or less still the same, but the mentality of the Devs and players has changed.
-
- Blight and Nurse will never be nerfed because they're "free" content for the game (Blight can be purchased with in-game currency after just a month of farming), so Devs will never be accused of being a pay-to-win game. Vecna is a lot of fun to play against (certainly much more than Krasue and Kaneki), but his mindless spamming is a bit ridiculous... no killer has such forgiving power as him, not even the much-hated Nurse or Blight... Vecna is truly a special child.🤣
-
- I consider Vecna one of the most fun killers to play against... well, compared to Twins or the recent Krasue, Vecna is really fun to play against. But yes, against him, all it takes is one survivor below average (and with our wonderful MMR, that often happens) and the whole team is in trouble. His constant spamming is also ridiculous, and in a way, he's rewarded for tunneling... other than that, he's perfect for me. Give me 100 Vecna and remove Krasue, please.🤣
-
- I remind you that the entire game is balanced around "weak" killers. Every time they tried to buff a survivor's perk or generally introduce a gameplay mechanic that favors survivors, the first complaint was "but weak killers can't compete with this!". Some examples? The DS timer, or even simply the size of the maps, but also the completely eliminated anti-tunnel/slug mechanic... they are all designed not to disadvantage "weak" killers. So giving a generic buff to all killers would also mean introducing new mechanics, perks, and maps to counter this general increase in power.
-
- Every time I've used this perk, it doesn't work if another survivor heals with you... you have to fill the healing bar to 100% yourself. I recommend the "we'll make it" + "Second Wind" combo.
-
- In this game, players can't choose the map because it's "not fun"... but Devs can send you 10 times in a row to Midwich, Laboratory, The Game, and the wonderful D&D map that everyone loves. This logic makes perfect sense.
-
- I confirm, pallet vaulting is COMPLETELY bugged... and obviously killer players know it very well. Let's wait until Tuesday.

Nah.
He's like a modern Nurse. Give them some time to get good with him. His chase is absurd, he has great map control, good mobility.
He's, at the VERY least, at the top of A-tier. I've seen people calling him C-tier.
- Small clarification: in MY tier list of "fun" it is S+... as for the tier list of power I would say a very solid A. Blight has dropped to D in my "fun" tier list., I'm just tired of him
-
- But who's asking for the nerf? It seems pretty well received. The only "complaint" is that he spams his power a bit too much, but then everyone seems to love him.
-
- The most controversial aspect of Vecna is its mindless spam ability. So, it's not that Unknown should be a bit like Vecna, but Vecna should be a bit like Unknown. (My opinion)
-
- Perhaps we should understand the reasons that lead DC to some survivors... for years I've heard (and experienced) the same story. If I were Devs, I'd try to understand why, instead of simply punishing with a ban. If this problem is really as serious as we all claim, it's time to ask ourselves some questions.
-
- Honestly, everyone in PTB seemed to love Vecna... I didn't hear a single complaint (obviously it was only the killers who gave their opinion). the real test (for vecna and any other killer) is on the Live servers, never on the PTB... after years of DBD I now understand this. And I agree 100%, a real test is AT LEAST 1 month of Live server... otherwise we will find ourselves in the same situation as the fog vials
-
- I don't look at the stats because I don't need them: Laurie, Taurie, Adam, Nea, I think the 4 of them are almost tied, 5 & 6 places for Alan and Michonne.😎 Characters I NEVER use: Haddie, Tapp, the Lyra brothers, D&D characters.
-
- "We See You" is a perk that oscillates between very powerful and truly useless. Yesterday I played with this perk equipped all the time. It depends 100% on the perks the killer brings into the game (obviously excluding the combo with OoO). And yes, I also happened to go up against "Weave"... very fun.🤣
-
- The Survivor meta hasn't really changed at all since 2016
With a few very rare exceptions (such as Lara's vaulting perk), it will practically never change. Today (2026), they could never release a good survivor perk without sparking a killer revolution.
-
- The only thing I don't like about this killer is how spammable his power is. Yes, you can dodge it, but by simple provability, sooner or later you'll get hit (unless the killer is a total idiot). All killers have some sort of cold dawn (even Nurse)... Vecna can spam without any consequences. But overall, he's a lot of fun.
-
- "The Game" is a unique map; it basically compensates for the almost complete lack of windows with pallets. Once pallets are gone, it becomes a giant dead zone. So this map doesn't need "removing a few pallets" but a complete rework. Considering that many killers have "anti-pallet" powers (Pyramyd Head, Alien, Huntress, Artist, etc.), I don't think it's a priority. Yes, some killers struggle a lot on this map.
-
- These killer "win streaks" just make me laugh... look at any win streak, 95% of the time it's poor people in Solo Q who don't know they're participating in this madness. I've also seen something similar done by SWF, but usually (not always) they face meta killers with meta perks ( they don't go against Adept Trapper) and apply tournament restrictions to themselves (so no meta perks, no repeated perks, etc)
-
- Premise: This perk is strong and admittedly underused compared to its value. It's true, it's rare, but not extremely rare. I occasionally see a player using it, but I can't say the same about other decidedly awful perks in this game. Do I use it? Yes, but I've encountered several problems and "difficulties" in using it. First problem: If you're the first to the hook or are in the tunnel yourself... this perk will be a useless slot in your build. Second problem: if you want to use it, you have to pray that the other teammates (in Solo Q) don't go for the save... again, a wasted build slot. Even for those who have experience and want to take the risk of using it, it's not an easy perk to use, because it's also tied to a certain randomness.
-
- It's wrong to listen to ONLY a portion of players. Everyone's experiences are important, experts and beginners alike. That said, I agree that Devs shouldn't listen to ALL complaints. The most glaring example was the fog vials, which were DESTROYED within a week. A week of complaints on Twitter was enough to literally DESTROY a game mechanic... that's simply not normal.Should the fog vials have been reworked? Maybe, but that doesn't mean practically eliminating and discouraging an entire game mechanic.
- EDIT: ...and anyone who earns money with DBD through content on social networks should NEVER discuss balancing with BHVR, simply they're not the right person due to an inevitable "conflict of interest." Of course, I can give their opinion, making videos or live broadcasts on the platforms, but their role should stop there.
-
- When I started playing, Laurie was considered the most toxic character in the entire game (this toxicity was later associated with Nea), and Myers was a true legend.😅 The old map was beautiful (but unbalanced), but I won't miss the new map at all (but over time I've learned to tolerate it on the Survivor side). In any case, a real loss for the entire game.
-
- The funniest thing in this whole debate is that in their official discord, they have "voice chat sections" dedicated specifically to SWFs. so in some ways, it's a feature that they support
-
- Despite being the most ridiculous item in the game, why aren't they affected by perks like "build to last" or "exultation"? Are the devs afraid they'll become too op? The default token system should at least be removed IMMEDIATELY. And don't tell me it's a very difficult change to implement; using a fog vial consumes HALF the total charge... voila, one of the MANY problems with fog vial is solved. Keys and maps work with tokens, but have (if I remember correctly) 5 charges by default.
-
- When I started playing, camping was almost "normal" (2020), there simply wasn't the anti-camping system we have today, and the "meta" (especially for newbies) was camping. I refused to follow the norm and actually learn how to play. It was REALLY hard to get wins, also because (aside from mega OP Nurse and Billy) there were no "high-speed" killers. I think today's killer community wouldn't resist for a second in the old fashion DBD🤣 today everything is "due," the killer MUST win, the "fun mentality" has been lost. I'm not a Dev, but if I were, I'd try to encourage more fun mechanics, secondary objectives, and above all I'd set CLEAR and random victory conditions (communicated at the start of the game)... for example Killer: you win if you make 6 hooks but with all survivor alive, or you win if you get 2 hooks to the basement. For Surv: you win if you make 3 flashlight saves. or you win if you make 4 full heals to your teammates. Obviously these are examples, but with a little creativity, player's attention could be directed not to kill/escape... but to other objectives (always related to the game, however).
-
- Fog vials are a joke. When I'm playing Killer and (very rarely) a survivor tries to use one against me, I almost feel sorry for the survivor. It just doesn't do what it says—you can see perfectly well through the fog.🤣 It's like a medkit that doesn't heal, a flashlight that doesn't blind, a key that doesn't open the hatch... wait... no🤣🤣🤣
