  • No, most of the times NOED does not even work, gets cleansed fast, rarely has a real and effective use.

  • If a survivor knows how to loop and use second chance crutch perks along with braindead loops to exploit. With a swf, the match is even easier, without items; putting the good items, gets even more easy, must anti loop killers and m1 killers are simply countered easily too, which does not help. I am saying that as someone that plays mostly survivor.

  • Nurse is hard enough to play, like most killers in the game (killers should be easier).

  • No, breakable walls should simply be open, the killer having to break it is not good.

  • He could be buffed a lot, all of the killers except blight and nurse need a buff or QoL change. There needs to be less ways ti get the vaccine and some addons need to be basekit (the useless ones and the iridescent bad ones, like most killers); if possible, make the previous mutation rate with marvin blood basekit. His tentacle also need a better hitbox and slow him less.

  • Yes, and tunneling is also very much and perfectly reasonable, the killer can tunnel me as much as they want, is fine for me

  • Survivors would complain even more if he were buffed, unfortunately. Doctor is indeed very bad as he is, takes too long to use and mediocre.

  • Dead hard is braindead, mix it with braindead loops and is awful. Dead hard is fair against blight and nurse, but overall is not fair, dead hard is a crutch perk that carries mistakes on loops. The other exaustion perks are alright and engaging.

  • Killer shortage is extremely good for DBD, is good to quit because of toxicity that comes from most of the survivor playerbase, the more killers quit the better it will be as a response.

This argument never seems to end, so i'll just give the usual reply. A survivor who rushes gens is not preventing the killer from playing. a tunneled survivor will only earn some points in two categories, at best. When he is camped, he will simply stop doing anything. As a camped survivor, you won't be able to heal (others or yourself), repair gens, cleanse totems, bless totems, use pallets, vault windows, stun the killer, escape the chase, engage in a chase, save others with a flashlight, unhook, open exit gates. You are DENIED everything, and cannot plat anymore. As a killer, that cannot happen. You will always be able to hit survivors, chase them, down them, chase them, hook them, destroy pallets, snuff totems, use your ability. And that's a whole lot different. That's why killers who camp are (rightfully) called toxic, because they are. And people who can only play in SWF groups are just the same, but they still don't have the chance of denying the killer anything, from scoring points to simply MOVING. Now, if this game was something along the lines of "stand still simulator", there wouldn't be a problem with it. But for something that you need to buy, all of that should not happen. And the players who allow it are just as much part of the issue as the devs who refuse to address it properly.

The killer plays around the hook system in the way that he wants, is part of the gameplay and is perfectly fine, even if is boring for one side, which is not a bad thing for a multiplayer online game and is the only killer strategy that a killer has that works sometimes in the current meta; at the end, it is gameplay of the killer if he wants to protect the hook or not, not toxic in any way, shape or form. Fortunately for you (and the people complaining endlessly about), it will get nerfed, so the complaints will end soon on the future.

I treat it as something psychological because it's the most logical way I can understand this situation.

This game is built around violence and death, giving the other side something not fun to deal with in one way or another.

The killer is a lone player who has to face 4 players. Usually four of them are veteran players or just players with confidence because they know how to play the game well. It is very easy to provoke the rival when there are 3 people who can help you (since Survivor is pretty easy to play as).

Shaming has become an integral part for both sides because the game that is not 100% fun for both sides and some bad behavior subconsciously hurts our self-confidence and ego, some players can't hold back their emotions because of that.

    -

I can say that I don't feel threatened anymore when I play as a survivor because of so many advantages.

But when I play Killer, I can feel my blood pressure rising and my nerve level ticking when I'm just at the beginning of the game.

So many provocations and disadvantages, I always need to rely on good RNG and good maps to enjoy my gameplay. It's quite excruciating to face 4 people ruining my fun, whether because of bad behavior or because of excellent advantages to the other side.

I can understand why survivors are so toxic and why it comes out so easily, as I said because of self-confidence and ego.

Also the game is unbalanced, another thing that trigger BM's.

you are 100% right in everything you said, i resonate with your response; i add that what fuels even more the ego and self-confidence that they feel, beyond the numerous advantages that they have on dbd, is the group mentality of superiority, where each one relates to the toxicity of one another while feeling safe given that 4 of them have the advantages, and even then they still ask for killers to get more nerfs. This is why there is a killer shortage that is increasing.

I firmly believe a large amount of survivors do not want a PVP game but a co-op PVE game, and they get angry when people play in a way that removes their PVE Co-op experience. They feel they should win because that's how it works in a co-op game. They feel they are supposed to win. The fact they expect the killer to play "just for the chase" and not try to win is further evidence they view the killer as an NPC, and not another player.

Yes, 100% this, the killer is not viewed as a player and if the killer is viewed as a player, the killer is considered a awful human being for playing for kills and camping.

Your right as far as saying the killer should be able to play however they want (within the rules of the game hacking aside) all players on both sides should be able to play however they want, using any perk, strategy or game play style to achieve their own in game goals.

& if I'm playing survivor have at it tunnel, camp, basement bubba do whatever you want, likewise if I'm playing killer flashlight click, t bag try to play bully squad (or whatever else annoys killers these days none of that ever bothered me)

It should be the same for both sides but as has already been pointed out survivors also get a lot of abuse ect for playing certain ways or using certain perks not just killers.

While everyone should be free to play how they desire everyone is also free to voice their annoyance or displeasure at certain play styles, perks ect.

Sure it can be annoying scrolling through dozens of daily complaint threads but thats life & humans like to complain & join together with others who see things there way.

    Welcome to the dbd forums

generally bully squads and people that click flashlights waste too much time doing it instead of doing gens, is funny; the worse thing is the toxicity in the endgame chat if the killer goes bad on a match, regardless if he camped or not; there were rate games that a genrush squad of brain new parts got to the game and all four nodded their heads, very cute and they said gg wp instead of being toxic, i think is fair and nice when people is simply playing optimally but never toxic. I fail to see how tbagging is like camping.

You payed for the game so play how you want. Unless its not against the rules, you can do what you want.

But why would you talk to enemy team after the game? I never understood why people care so much.

the problem is when camping gets nerfed and it will, the devs insinuated it on the recent stream, while also making BT basekit (which is not the main problem, but still), but yes, people should play how they want.

just had a game last night. end game chat went something like this:

me: gg! sorry for the blinds - was doing a challenge

killer: f you. youre toxic. unalive yourself.

me: what did I do that was toxic?

killer: ye were all doing gens

note: the killer tunnelled out one person. ignored unhooked when they tried body blocking for them, etc.

tldr: both sides are called toxic for just playing the game. very few in game things are toxic. Endgame chat is the only really toxic thing

i agree, the endgame chat is awful; is not right to be toxic to the killer regardless of if he camped or tunneled or to put him down just for getting one kill or no kill, most of the times the bad attitude comes from survivors (since they are the majority), the rare moments with nice survivors is unfortunately very very rare. I personally defend the killer on the endgame chat, even if he camps or tunnels me i say "wp" to them.

  • i love both and neither of them needed the unnecessary nerfs, especially deathslinger

  • DS can guarantee a escape at the endgame and gives a lot of safety

  • really underwhelming and weak, has a nice power that is fun to use but at the end he is really weak and predictable, but his design is great

  • people complain a lot about killers constantly, if the killer camps and tunnels he is considered toxic always; besides that, camping will get nerfed, behavior said it in the recent stream

  • @Nameless said:

You clearly haven't been very long on the forums if you believe that survivors don't get called "toxic" for playing optimally...

not nearly as killers when they camp, they are always treated as the worst human beings ever in the endgame chat; i think survivors should play optimally and killers too, killers just deal with worse because the toxicity to them is constant and behavior will nerf camping unfortunately

  • survivors already have great perks and now they are getting fun and good perks, they dont need even more OP perks again

  • Noed is good when it works, but is not great as Dead Hard and does not need nerf, endgame perks should never be nerfed

  • the crow hits are inconsistent and she is easy to deal with, as most anti-loop killers and killers in the game

The killer can prevent the save totally. Lets do say it is a Huntress, she can easily hit the survivor with a hatchet as they are trying to save. Now he can either commit to save or another survivor has to leave the objective and try to save. What if the killer has Ruin now? All progress is resetting. Imagine for a second how much advantage this gives the killer. What if the first survivor commits to save against the Huntress. Since she can hold her hatchet for an infinite amount of the time, if they try to save, the survivor will go down, denying the save. (I've seen this too many times as a survivor) What if it is Leatherface or HIllbilly, same where it is not possible to save.

If is leatherface or hillbilly and he is camping, DO GENS! if the huntress hits you then you dont save, return and do gens! The same with hillbilly; ruin can be simply cleansed, and if a survivor goes down when the first chase just started he is bad overall, people just have to do gens in general. But i give up, nerf camping and tunneling and also huntress with a cooldown to the hatchet if she holds too long

That's assuming they are SWF or they have Kindred. You are looking at this way too simplistic. Then experienced killers will exploit the unfair tactics by pretending to not camp, then looking for someone to save, and now guess what? Only 2 is doing gens. One on a hook and the savior is going down. Now the entire team is a domino effect. If you are not part of a perfect team, the killer is winning and nothing survivors can do.

A bad killer shouldn't have a way to counterplay good survivors and win. I think that is what you are asking for.

Camping and tunneling needs a nerf so the game is fair.

If he pretends to go in another place, the person gets rescued with bt and now the hooked person is running away with ds, while the other two are still doing gens; either way, what you are saying describes perfectly a situation where the killer camps against scared and mediocre survivors, not against survs who are good at looping and that know to do gens and not get scared of the killer. With the soloq change, the excuse to not doing gens while the killer camps will get old fast (even though is already easy to go against killers that camp).

I did not asked for that, i dont understand what you are saying; i am talking about killers in general, any strat of killers, from camping, slugging, tunneling, 3 gen situation, hit and run, every strat of the killer is counterable, thats what i said, so there are no excuses for survivors to perform poorly. (With the exception of a master nurse main)

No, camping and tunneling is already weak: regarding tunneling and camping, against good survivors with ds is very punishing, only works against awful survivors and the game should not be balanced towards bad survivors. The state of the game for survivors is not bad, depends only if the survivor knows how to loop, how to do a gen and to rescue when the killer is not nearby (or trading with bt); overall most people just complain about stuff from the game that is pretty easy to deal with, is absurd and funny at the same time; thats why killers get endless nerfs, but since i play mostly survivor i will not be that affected by nerfs unlike killer mains.

That is much easier said than done. If a killer starts camping and tunneling from the beginning, the other 3 will barely, if at all, have time to do 5 gens.

Spread on gens, each one at one gen, then escape, in a scenario were the survivor is camped to death, simple as that; if the killer has no way out, go immerse and he wont find you, best case scenario for him is for the survivor to be a potato that doesnt loop to be the second kill, but in general camping is very weak, only works against bad survivors. Other tip: Only do gen with someone if the person or you have prove thyself, otherwise spread, is not that hard to just do gens and leave against a killer camping.

Now, the counterplay for the killer against very good survivors is way harder, ths strats of the killers are pretty easy to deal with, most of them if not all the strategies of killers can be dealt with without stress, people exagerate a lot when they complain about camping and tunneling

  • If a killer gets a 3k or a 4k just by camping then the survivors are mediocre, because camping is not op at all and dont need because is already a weak strategy, just do gens and leave; also, tunneling is also a bad strat against good survivors with ds, so no, dont need nerf, also ds is already on a great spot and survivors in general are in a great place.

Camping is only effective against survivors who dont do gens and run around the hook while the killer camps, the bad play is on the survivor and not on the killer.
