  • See, a little fact is that Nurse mains are the smartest, and after this bs with the game, they knew to quit.

Hell yeah, the game is great for people who seek horror and love the idea of teamwork.

Nothing can compete with Dead by Daylight's cat and mouse game, it's literally the best.

However, if I would encourage a friend to start with survivor than work their way to playing killer after enough experience. 😁

You new to this game? Or were you messing around?

  • Outright no. There are countless reasons for that, but the main reasons I'd give are, survivor biased, long que times, toxic survivors, survivors always complaining, killer constantly being nerfed to be swayed into the survivor's favor, broken hit boxes, devs who never listen (unless It's survivors). Those were the reason for killer. For survivor I'd say bring a friend and then yeah it's alright considering there are only three balanced killers right now.

  • Maybe you just need to "Git gud" like you tell us killers all the time

  • We need to start playing the survivors at their own game, complaining until we get what we want. We need to stop being the silent majority and be the loud majority. We need to spam the devs, the forums, and the YouTube page and since it works for the survivors, they might listen.

Why is the doctor so overpowered? How can you possibly counter him? Why do unskillful killers like the doctor exist? Do you know how many times I had to resort to using a single pallet and then getting shocked making me unable to vault the pallet and unable to have the chance to properly mind game him? On top of that, his new ability makes it easier for him to camp and locate survivors even when they are down. Having a killer that can locate survivors as well as easily win chases and mind games seems very overpowered to me. He makes this game unplayable to survivors. If anyone can offer me advice to counter him, if their is a way, it would be much appreciated if you can inform me. I just hate how killers like the spirit, clown, and doctor are so overpowered and can easily win chases without the survivor even getting the chance to mind game.

You survivors are all the same. You complain and nothing else. I'm so damn tired of you guys complaining as soon as there's a descent killer and getting him nerfed. Doctor isn't even overpowered and you're complaining. Seriously, killer isn't fun anymore because you guys sit there spamming the forums that "Killer name needs to be nerfed because I suck at DBD and don't know how to change my play style!"

Just wondering because sometimes when i do the other people in the session are obviously like "wow you let him go but not us" and stuff like that. I personally feel if theres one person whos been screwed over by everyone else Or they have done a really good job like if theyve looped me landed clutch pallet stuns and other stuff and i see they might have like a rare item ill let them go. I personally don't care about pipping and ranks so i just wanted to see if anyone else shared my view?

If they get out I'm not mad, but I still try

First off I wanna make it clear I play both sides of DBD survivor and killer. I play every killer and I play them in alot of various ways. However some of my favorite are camping builds which I sometimes run. I consider myself good at camping and overall a good killer, mind gaming, pressuring and everything else involved. I know ranks dont mean everything on this game but for reference I'm a rank 1 killer so I play against high rank survivors. I camp for 3 main reasons: fun, wins, and entertainment. Fun: Like I said before I have various builds on multiple characters for camping. It's a different way to play than just always running around trying to pressure survivors off gens and running around safe loops. It's fun to hide as Leatherface and jumpscare survivors as they come to peak inside the building, plant traps around a perimeter with Trapper, set up an ambush with Piggy or Ghostface, or come around the corner and immediately pop Evil Within with Myers startling the survivor. It's a different way to play DBD which keeps things fresh. Wins: I'm gonna be that guy but it really is a strategy. I never lobby dodge or change my setup once in a lobby (addons, killer, perks, etc.) so whatever the survivors bring I deal with. Sometimes the best option to ensure a win is to camp. Simple as that. Entertainment: When I play survivor, i never and i literally mean never, send a salty message to killers. If they camp me or tunnel me I accept it and move on. If they do it well I'll send a GG or a "I like that build" etc. But when I play killer I constantly get grouchy survivors messaging me hate and I must say, I absolutely love it. I find it very entertaining and I love trolling them to get them even more angry at a video game. Those of you that do this are complete cucks btw. It doesnt matter how you play DBD, camping or playing "the right way", winning or losing you will receive these messages. But there is also a light side. Some players, very few, will message gg and other nice comments even if you camped or whatnot. These people are the hidden gems in the community.

Maybe if you didn't camp, you wouldn't get any hate messages. I play killer and I usually play an aggressive build, in the past month I've gotten no hate messages and even a few gg's. (I play on PS4). Camping is literally frowned upon by everyone except for people like you. And you're whole thing about "...get them even more mad at a video game." is bullcrap. Some people play this game competitively, and you camping ruins they're rank and fun. I bet you tunnel as well don't you? You are the type of killer that earns us killers AS A WHOLE, toxic.

  • Killers like you are why we get the title of toxic.

Tell if me you disagree or not,

Guess what it is! Devour Hope. Here's why it's better:

Devour Hope is a Hex perk that increases with power as survivors are unhooked when you are far away. Ruin is a Hex perk that slows generator progress by damaging the effects of skill checks. Here's some things to think about both perks:

-Devour Hope can have up to 5 tokens. At 2, you are faster for a short time after hooking a survivor. At 3, survivors suffer from the exposed status effect (M1 attacks send them into the dying state even when healthy). At 5, you can Mori (kills on the spot) any survivor in the dying state.

-Survivors CAN spawn extremely close and nearly instantly cleanse a Hex Totem and remove it from the game without giving you a chance to defend it.

-When survivors see you have Ruin (the first skill check they receive on a generator) many will start their search for Ruin's totem to disable the perk.

-If you are only using Devour Hope, survivors will see no reason to search for Hex totems when the game starts, so it is less risky to bring it than any other Hex perk (besides NOED)

-Devour Hope's effects are hidden from survivors until you M1 a survivor after your 3rd token or Mori a survivor after your 5th token. The latter if much harder to be their first sighting of it.

-When survivors discover you have Devour Hope, they must search for the totem and cleanse it or face killer progress and pressure increasing very quickly untill their loss with (almost) no other counter play.

-When Devour Hope is known by the survivors, one of two things happen. a)Survivors find the totem and cleanse it, but only after you profit from its uses and waste precious generator progress time or b) The game is in a permanent stand still where the only chance of escape is the hatch.

-Devour Hope's effect on generator progress isn't directly slowing it or regressing it. What it does is put survivors in a position where if they don't act, the game is over.

Ruin just wastes some time on generators. The survivors might even waste more of your time while you try to defend it than it's worth. But, of course this can go either way.

It should be noted that Devour Hope is especially strong on Trapper (what I use), Hag, and Freddy. These stated results are less prominent on killers who have trouble defending Hex Totems.

If you have a perk like Pop Goes the Weasel on the side, generators never stood a chance!

Demogorgan is pretty good at defending totems

  • At first I thought this was another survivor complaining, but yeah, I agree, they need to fix grabs. If you've ever watched No0b3 play killer, he gets a lot of fake grabs. It happens to me a lot too, I'll have perfect timing, it will either do the animation and it doesn't count and the survivor gets away, or it will just hit them.

The old ds needed to be nerfed, when the nerf comes:

3s of ds is soo bad because u dont have any time do escape and the killers put enduring to counter 100% ds

when ash come's to dbd they buff ds to 5s stun, everbody saying the ds is a anti tunnel perk, but is not, ds ensures 1m of immunity, a major of killers wait for the ds, and this is sucks, because u waiting 1m of your game for u kill 1 surv, just pick up the ds guy and force him to use, congrants, he dont have ds anymore and u cant go for him with no problem because he dont have the ds anymore

DS dont need any change because balacing now is a dead perk if the devs dont rework and seriously killers, stop saying everthing in the survivor is op

YOU prefer wait 5s or 1 minute in your game?

I'd prefer for survivors to stop complaining when they get everything they want. Killer too fun to play? Nerfed. Perk that makes killer's life less of a pain? Nerfed. Like seriously, when was the last time someone or something WASN'T nerfed because you guys ran your mouths until you got what you wanted? The only time you guys didn't get what you wanted was when you wanted Billy to be nerfed.

Then stay until the game is over? Why should there be a way to dodge with no downside?

Yeah, I agree, that would be stupid but that's what the author is suggesting.

    Hey everyone.

I wanna talk about the red mori and I ask everyone to stay polite and calm. This is not bashing, this is supposed to be a civilised discussion.

Soo.. recently the insta heals (both, the red and the purple one) got changed. One of the reasons was "We [the Devs] don't like things that change the trial drastically" (e.g. a downed survivor who kept the killer occupied for 5 mins gets back to full life and ruins the killer's game experience).

I fully understand that this was necessary (though I don't like that change) but I am wondering upon what grounds the red mori stays at it is. When you speak of things that change a trial drastically the red mori should be the first one that comes to mind.

In some hands, that mori is just unfair. A (bad) killer who barely got one survivor on a hook (we are talking about average survivors, not the coordinated pro swf's) and who really doesn't deserve a 4k can get one with that offering easily.

I often hear the suggestion that the red mori (the yellow and green ones don't need to be changed) should be changed, so that the killer has to hook everyone at least once before he can start killing the survivors. This change could increase the use rate of the green mori, too. If I just wanna do my daily, I would just take the green one.

I play killer reguarly and if I take the red mori because I have that daily, I always try to hook everyone twice, so that they still had fun and I get more bloodpoints (as long as they don't annoy me or are about to escape).

Yes, I am a survivor main, but I'm interested in other opinions about this.

What if the Red Mori activated when all the generators are complete? Basically if you hooked them before, during, or after the generators are completed then you could mori them. Now I know this might make the mori challenge harder, but let's be honest, it's better that because in the current situation, if survivors ######### enough it'll get removed. But for real, it would give good survivors a chance to actually escape from zed bad killer who didn't deserve the kill. I play more survivor than killer but still consider myself a killer main, so I think this would be a nice compromise, plus, it would discourage tunneling and camping. @DarkBarbarian

Survivors still get less points then me when I play killer. Other people doing well shouldn’t be your concern. I like getting a four kill match and seeing everyone getting 15 - 20k each.

Survivors getting less points was a deterrent from playing. I’m glad more players want to play survivor again instead of long queues and I’m not bothered at all that they do well or meme.

Thing is, survivors are already seen as deities, having more of them means more complaining for killer nerfs. On top of the already constant bitching about NOED and other perks. It's not that I hate survivors, I hate the ones that ######### that killers are too powerful when they've played killer for maybe a day total, and stopped playing because they got stomped once they got past rank 20, and still complain killers need nerfs.

  • I only DC if the killer is being toxic so he gets less blood points, like he deserves.

  • Survivors are toxic, nothing you can really do because unfortunately, to the devs, survivors are the deities.

  • If this is serious I'm going to have to ask you to actually play killer before making empty assumptions.

"The others say this killer isn't fun to play against then get mad when others bring up killer problems in response calling it whataboutism."

I mean that is "whataboutism". Exactly this. When someone lists the problems with Spirit (which are not even addressed with the upcoming Nerf) and then someone comes with "What about SWF?"... This is whataboutism.

"I feel like tru3 is the only fog whisperer that regularly talks about problems killers face."

    Eh.

He is 100% killer-sided, he only hides that behind his "I play both sides". While this is true, when watching his streams, it is pretty clear that he does not care for both sides, you just need to listen. So yeah, clearly he talks regularly about that, because he is complaining way too much lately.

Us killer mains wouldn't be upset if the survivors weren't treated like deities. Killer mains have way more problems, for example, I play on console, but there is already talk of the Oni being nerfed and I haven't had a chance to even play him. But because the survivors are the messiahs of DBD, they don't want an effective killer that also looks fun.

  • @Science_Guy said:

Same old, same old in this thread.

Adrenaline rewards the Survivors for completing their objective. NOED rewards the Killer for failing to do theirs. And how is 'Just knock out all the totems' any more "counterplay" than 'Don't let the Survivors complete 5 gens'?

Totems aren't a 'secondary objective. Beyond hexes, the only reason to ever do them is to avoid NOED, where missing a single one means you wasted your time. But GL knocking them all out when solo survivors have no way of knowing if all the totems are gone except by personally checking for all five, wasting so much time in the process that they would have been better off ignoring it completely.

I smell a biased survivor main.

  • @ToppingPanic said:

If you are in a lobby as a solo surv, it is almost guaranteed because you cannot coordinate how many totems are left. So that means you have to search for every single hidden totem and make sure they're broken.

Also, it awards killers who couldn't get it done during the actual match. A speed boost and insta-down is literally what you would give to someone struggling.

Not every single person who uses NOED uses it as a crutch, some people use the speed boost to get to hatch faster on the last survivor. NOED is meant to punish gen rushing and sticking around during endgame, and before you say "Biased killer main." I play both sides.

  • @youarewronglol said:

I will always have disdain for NOED until we get a totem counter

and it's not fun that it's stealthy till use either

Op literally said NOED is easily countered by doing totems, and I agree.

  • I feel like you've never played any of these killers, go back and play them, if you play 10 matches and get a 4k 9 times out of 10, then we can talk nerfs.

  • I think it would be interesting to have cross-play, however, the issue is, if PC survivors manage to go up against a PS4 killer. It will happen, I know it will. It will put that PS4 player at a huge disadvantage. Because, like you said, PC is easier to navigate than console.

  • @tylerlogsdon1 said:

There is. It's called "leave game". You depip for conceding early though.

I think the point of the "§urrender" button would be for them to all leave the game, without any negative side effects.

  • I'm a killer main, I don't think DS is overpowered in anyway. Now before you start beating your meat on your keyboard, listen up, DS was reworked to punish bad killers for tunneling, if you have a problem with DS, that means you might wanna put more time into killer.

  • @HealsBadMan said:

Why doesn't BHVR add ingame comms? It's a feature in most other competitive games, and even some multiplayer PvE games. Adding the comms would allow solos and SWFs to be on a more level playing field as well, letting BHVR balance the game around comms too (since Killers won't have that kind of advantage). Only reason I can think of that they haven't done it yet is a technical issue on their end.

Adding in game comms would screw the killer over. Because most survivors already play swf and have a different site using comms, and you're saying we add it so the random people and coordinate too?

  • How about instead of all these, "interesting" ideas, we give the killer an extra 10-20k blood points for playing against swf?

  • Harassment is never good, but if you're tunneling and camping, yikes. I'm a killer main, and I will try my hardest to not do either of these things.

  • I agree with this, however, I think we should keep the Ebony and the other one as offerings
