Prolly that he is basically a stealth ranged killer who can bypass pallets sometimes, will 100% be nerfed once enough sales happen

I look at hook destruction on sacrifices the same way as survs not 3-genning themselves. Hooks are a resource to be managed in the same way. Just as @coco_shotz said.
Hook placement spawns should be constantly monitored so situations like that are minimized for sure.
Lol, yeah except that there's tons of maps where an entire area has 1 hook. And then SWFs know that and will run to that area when they are gonna go down, even when the game is over to waste 4 minutes of your time. This "Just manage your hooks" argument is kind of a joke tbh
-
I don't see why Sadako's CD is a problem, do you really need to go across the map more than every 10 seconds? Even if you just kick the gen that's near the TV that's enough to use up the majority of the cooldown. And was probably the original intent of her design since she came with call of brine
Chucky I also don't see being too much of a problem since the power is really strong and with the right build he can be staying at a 20 or 16m terror radius in between being undetectable half the game. Since people are learning how to curve him around loops it's debatable if he's weaker than spirit at the current time
Xeno is so strong it needs to be punished for missing the attack imo
-
Run pain res + pop or be forced to tunnel out every game unless you are absolutely destroying the survivors; because gens get done in 4 minutes, great meta
Then you still can just automatically lose the game if the survivor runs a god window or has super safe pallets lined up if you are on a weaker killer, making bamboozle STILL mandatory on some killers even like 5 years after release

I do agree with this change, but not the reasoning behind it 100% in this case.
If we're going to balance for SoloQ we shouldn't balance for Nurse and Blight. That'd be balancing survivors for the "low tier" but killers for the "high tier".
UW is fine on most killers its just the very top where its a problem.
If your balance philosophy is low-mid tiers then UW is fine, if its high tiers then it should be nerfed a little bit.
But we should be consistent for both sides. Its either SoloQ and low killers or SWF and high killers.
Why not? I face plenty of Nurse's and Blights in solo Q. And it's one of the biggest wastes of time I can think of because those characters are way too strong for solo's unless the killer is a complete bot
-
I think Xeno is disgusting and there's very few killers in DBD where after a down I scoff out loud in disbelief at how ridiculous it was. Some of the tail hits you can get are just dirty and it's like playing Pyramid head with mobility and less tunneling
Xeno's kit is the whole kitchen sink. Mobility, stealth, tracking, ranged attack that can hit over windows and pallets, and crazy addon options to boot
With the right build you can get downs at shack pretty easily even with the pallet thrown. That's enough said for how strong Xeno is. He only needs to kick the godliest of god pallets if you are playing him well enough

Because getting 8 Tokens of STBFL is ignoring your Shred. Getting 8 M1s as a primarily M2 Killer is extremely inefficient and a waste of your time if you know how to actually use the Shred. You should be getting about 3-4 M1s per game if you’re really good with Shred
I have almost never used STBFL on any killer until Alien came out; but it's just so ridiculously good with rapid brutality. Once you have 5-6+ stacks you can almost instadown people if they make a mistake around you because you recover so fast from the M1 you can immediately follow it up with an M2 even if they vault a window or drop a pallet. Demo I don't use it on but Alien's ability to hit someone with an M1 and then the M2 even if they vault a pallet or window in front of you is just god tier and destroys any survivor who doesn't expect it
Bonus points if you have superior anatomy and self destruct bolt on top of it. Then after your M1 even if they can make it to vault a window you lose almost no distance and can get back into tail range to down them within the rapid brutality speed boost which leads to some sub 10 second downs after a survivor makes a mistake and gets M1'd
Then it's also good for proxy camping, endgame trades (you will always secure a kill), basement camping, tunneling, etc etc on top of all that
I don't know why you would want to use it on an M1 killer where you lose half your perk if you run into the obsession
-
I didn't see this actually impact games much, but when it did it was pretty busted.
A jungle gym that had it's window facing a hill on Eyrie's of crows that I saw recently comes to mind. Basically meant the survivor would run up there any time they heard the terror radius, then if you wanted to chase them you would have to go all the way around and up the hill and then they would just drop off and vault into the jungle gym with a huge head start.
Set you up for a game losing chase with very little you could do about it other than not chase there

It's not as strong as it was before. Old Haddonfield was arguably the strongest map that existed at the time. However, it was also pretty hard to play to its max potential and I'd argue that that has become easier.
Personally, I would like to go back to old Haddonfield. It is entirely possible I am romanticising but I honestly think it had an overall more enjoyable atmosphere and wasn't quite as unpleasent to play on. You knew what you were getting into when you got that map. Now it's a matter of: "How many free hits can you get by forcing survivors onto the streets?" and "Can you end the chase before the survivor makes it to any of the houses?" This forces killers into an awkward position where they are best off not playing around the main structures and instead utilise the huge dead zones away from the houses. For survivors, this doesn't feel any better.
Visually it has objectively improved but still I miss the lighting of the old version. I liked that a lot more than the kind of grey-ish color scheme that we have now. It seems like they couldn't quite decide, if they wanted to make the map dark or not and instead went a middle route. This is purely subjective of course.
I don't think it was very hard to run before they nerfed the stagger on balanced landing, like at all. Literal infinite loops for days
The reworked haddo was "meh" before made for this, now it's just awful
I've had some ridiculously long window-only chases during this event because god windows + MFT + random haunt speed boosts and it's straight up game-losing to try and pursue depending on what killer you are playing
Worst part is, with the new anti-camping feature, even if you down someone humping the two main god windows at the Myers house you can't really even punish them that hard anymore. Survivors gotta get those free escapes you know?
-
Ungodly waste of time, but it's no surprise to come here and see cringe lords defending a mechanic that can add 4-5 minutes to a game that usually has matches lasting 5-10 or less
Game needs a bleed out faster button or basekit unbreakable

if you just standing stairs at basement waiting for free win to tunnel off hook then yes it is free unhook. you can still proxy camp and use basement strategically to lure survivors in the basement to capitalizes. it is brute force aspects of killer that are uninteresting because there is no chases. it is just hook-trading and downing people out of position. I agree it is strong way to play killer but it is not exciting for survivor.
What is there to capitalize on if you say, get 2 or 3 survivors down in the basement (which is entirely their own fault) and the game is like "Now let them unhook for free killer! How dare you camp 3/4ths of the team at the exact same time, go stand in the corner of the map!"
Going up against 4x made for this + hope + resilience every game isn't exactly exciting for killer BTW. But does that stop literally every lobby ever from running it? I don't think so

Some people are straight up delusional about how good the average SWF Is. They talk about SWFs like they are gods who are descending from the heavens to crush mere mortals in DBD. If someone is losing more than a few games here and there as Blight/Nurse then it is 100% a skill issue. You've got guys out there with 1000 game nurse streaks and 1500 game Blight streaks for crying out loud.
I agree, although even as a veteran player I still hit incredibly good SWFs time to time who usually give me a serious run for my money and I am sure wipe the floor with lesser killers. You typically see them running lots of hope and adrenalines because they are used to making it to endgame after rushing all the gens in like 4 minutes while using a survivor sided map offering. I am sure the experience is brutal enough it is burned into the minds of some newer killer players. I've seen some SWFs making it to the hundreds as far as 3 man out+ streaks go. DBD is just....very kind to experienced players and very mean to new ones.
Playing solo survivor has always been awful though, easily the hardest experience in the game and im saying that as a killer main. Every now and then you get a really great team who all sync up and epic things happen but it's mostly getting pubstomped or having people ragequit / suicide at like 5 gens left multiple times per session
-
Nurse and blight get sweeped by SWFs? Lol, my guy they are the defacto SWF destroying killers.
Also no mention of Oni or Sadako which is weird. Mother's comb Sadako can mori someone before corrupt is even over if the survivor messes up 2 tape runs. Oni gets 1 hit off a weaker player and then it doesn't matter if the other survivors are good at looping or not, especially if he has a speed addon

With that attitude, I'm not surprised.
You've already decided the match is a loss. It's tilting you, I'd advise you to try to address that first and see how you do.
I PROMISE you are not running into that good team often.
No, I don't run into stacked teams that often, but that's more of an issue with the matchmaking than being an excuse for an overpowered perk. Games were significantly more difficult at old rank 1 in my opinion. I can go entire days without losing on killer and the game will still feed me baby dwights with ~100 hours. It doesn't mean it's any less broken when you finally hit survivors with thousands of hours who know how to run every tile or lobbies with multiple P100s running full meta perks
The only justification for it is that the power creep for killers has also been very high as well. I think ultimate weapon is utterly busted too and having a perk that is basically "find every survivor for free map-wide unless they are running 1 perk out of 130+" is horrid game design and a sign that they are running out of ideas for perks
-

First of all, no.
I almost exclusively play Killers who aren't high-tier. I have zero issue countering MFT because I do not 5head chase someone at an absurdly strong structure for 10 minutes. It seems these days the moment anything requires some strategy, people lose their minds.
Also, I believe I was one of the first people to point out that CoH completely destroyed any macro gameplay. Most people misunderstood why it was powerful. Not that it provided a boon to healing (no pun intended) but that it allowed you to Self-Heal.
Dropping a chase is basically a game throwing move against a good team if you are playing a low mobility killer who needs to hit survivors twice and can't hit over safe pallets. Depending on the map it might be 20-30 seconds to get into the next one and that's a cumulative gen lost if the other 3 survivors are alive, and there is no guarantee the next chase will be any better or the survivor won't be beelining to an area just as safe as the one you left
To me this is like saying "Don't chase the main building on disturbed ward" when maybe 4-5 of 7 gens are usually a stones throw away from it
But I guess I must not have enough strategy, ill try not damaging survivors or loading into survivor sided maps next time
-

"Completely unviable"
So you think those Killers have a, what, 30% KR against MFT?
Have you thought about TRYING to think outside the box and TRYING to counter the perk instead of throwing up your hands and saying it's OP? Like genuinely, have you tried?
I have, and it's completely possible.
Imagine saying "just counter MFT" when it gives value every time you injure a survivor, omegalul. Let me just blow half my killer perks (aka the supposed equivalent to 8 survivor perks) to have the ~possibility~ to counter 2-3 survivor perks, yeah
Dumpster tier killers don't have the slots. You start running things like blood echo and fearmonger and you are then not running slowdown perks or bamboozle so you then you get the 3 gens done in 60 seconds games or survivors humping literal god windows that are still in the game after 7 years
The solution is to just play killers who are less impacted by it and wait until the inevitable nerfs. It's worse than old dead hard for distance because at least you only had to deal with DH letting a survivor make it to the next series of pallets once per chase, MFT can go on giving value as long as there are windows and pallets on the map
BHVR releasing a pay to win perk, waiting until everyone buys it, and then nerfing it down the road is almost a hallmark of the company by now. There were horde of people like yourself defending circle of healing too
-
They might as well just make every survivor 103% at this point, at least it will be consistent
It barely impacts some killers and completely guts others. Peak game design
The amount of free pressure it puts on the weaker killers is just wild, you have to work so much harder to win games because of it and it takes 0 effort on the survivors part to just equip an overpowered perk. Not that survivors getting carried by broken perks is anything new to DBD, mind you
-
I don't even mind slugging for the 4k
What I do hate is when the killer slugs for the 4k, doesn't find the last survivor, and then picks up and drops the survivor until they escape and works with them to find the last survivor. Too many people go along with it and still get killed at the end anyways
I have never ratted a teammate out no matter how annoyed I am at them. If two survivors die at like 4-5 gens left and the last two survivors have no option but to hide and hope they are not the first one found, so be it. Not sure why people get salty you stop doing gens when the game is clearly unwinnable
-
As someone planning on running the turret breaking addon and the turret detection addon while im learning how to play? Probably not that much.
Coup seems like it will be so ridiculously good on Alien that I am assuming most of my chases will be running up to a gen with monitor, tailsmacking someone, then getting burned out of the power and whacking them with coup. You get the down, the turret is destroyed automatically, and it ends up being a timesink for survivors

Oh that's so exciting. I get to use add-ons to counter some B's mechanic other killers don't have to. I love wasting my addon slots countering a mechanic that shouldn't even be there while other normal killers get to actually use add-ons to change or enhance there powers. Gee how fun! :D
He is a high mobility killer with a range attack that can down over pallets. With add-ons + bamboozle vaulting with 45% extra speed, and his iri damaging you if you stun him, right at the start of the game
-
@Steakdabait said:
The turrets really aren't that strong by themselves and stacking them takes a large amount of time. They are nowhere near the level emps were and are to singu
He's also got some pretty good add-ons to counter them, or even benefit from them.
So he can use those, or have some insane addons like 30% vault speed to make him way scarier if the turrets are not around or extra slowdown with free mangled, etc etc if you are confident countering the turrets yourself
Plus I can already tell coup is gonna be ridiculous on this killer, and a perfect plan B for when your tail gets taken away
-
New Sadako is fine, survivors are just too bad to hold tapes and play safe against an M1 killer
Buffed Coup de Grace is the most skilless chase perk introduced into the game since spirit fury
Hindered should remove haste effects from survivors

Otz makes a video and suddenly it is Demos best Add On. After Otz called it that. Before that, it was considered a "weak" Add On which did not need nerfing.
This community is gold.
I think map-wide spammable wallhacks was widely considered his best addon the second it came out. Who was calling that weak?
He did get a buff to his stealth at the same time. He should be able to traverse a considerable distance while undetectable with the right addons moving forwards
-
Moving a tape from a TV to any other TV on the map is trivial in most cases. I've had tape runs that lasted less than 10 seconds because the distance between TVs can be so short. The lullaby means you should never be surprised by an attack from her either. It's very easy to hold a tape and avoid an almost purely M1 killer at the start of a match
I think she is only elevated into ridiculous territory with her Iridescent addons. But then again most killers are so I don't see it as that much of an issue.
People are in here praising mothers comb but Iri Video Tape is just miles better because you can see people running up to get a tape before they even grab it, which is game-ending in many cases
-
Terrible change. Her changes look awful in general but this one is such a slap in the face.
It was the "i'm playing a spooky ghost - this is kinda fun but she's still an F tier killer" addon. It was more fun than good and you ran it when you didn't have condemn addons because every other addon is trash tier.
Meanwhile, we still have tomestone myers. We still have compound 33 blight. Still have pinky finger clown. Still have all sorts of addons that are way more impactful and on way stronger killers to boot but oh no Sadako might mindgame someone at an unsafe pallet once in a blue moon better nerf that.....
-
@Aurelle said:
Because he quite literally doesn't have a power.
If a survivor still manages to be infected, you waste time being slowed by teleporting. He literally has no chase power. Aiming is absolutely TERRIBLE with controllers.
Also EMPs are still ENTIRELY overtuned. Slipstream a survivor? EMP'd away as soon as you infect them. Set up Biopods in a good location? EMP'd and disabled within seconds. Survivor miraculously manages to still be infected and you teleport to them? Slipstream EMP'd away and you lose track of said survivor.
He needs some proper buffs and EMPs need nerfed straight into the ground.
If you think about it, you sometimes need to hit a survivor with 3 different camera's to actually teleport to them across the map.
First one gets EMP'd, second one you tag them, and third you can actually teleport. And that's if someone else doesn't also have an EMP
I've had decent success spamming his best addons, mainly the one where people start infected. But trying to both set up cameras and infect people from scratch then go hit them 2x times is just awful at the start of a match
-
Doesn't help much against good survivors, I get more value out of enduring / brutal / bamboozle / dissolution against them.
Only good for 3 gens or on a very small subset of killers who can M2 to never lose stacks. Or face camping a hook.
Against potato's who feed you M1s easily it is god tier but what isn't?
-
I don't really consider that griefing. And it's fully expected for survivors to screw with you if you are playing poorly as the killer, plenty of perks and items exist soley to mess with you. That's the fun part of playing survivor.
As an experienced killer it is exceptionally rare to get genuinely bullied, usually reserved for 3+ man sweat squads. If you are playing well, the survivors are constantly burning pallets / hook stages. They can only last in the match so long before people start dying.
There's plenty of anti-bully perks available as well. Forced penance and lightborn come to mind. Both can be pretty god tier against coordinated teams since it basically forces them to go do gens instead of mess with you.
-
Solo Q has always been trash. It was a bit more tolerable when keys were at their peak. It's a good mix of:
-Teams that lose in the first 30 seconds of the game but you have to wait another 5-6 minutes to actually die
-DCs/Suicides/AFKs
-Killers running absolutely busted builds that no solo Q team will ever beat
-Killer getting run the entire game by someone while you AFK on gens
-Actual balanced matches with some interesting chases
So I wanna say like 4/5 of the matches are typically garbo. I just play killer if I am solo
-
It's refreshing to see some lobbies without 3+ medkits when im on a killer like Dredge. Didn't get dead harded in like 4 games which is a borderline miracle. It might take a really long time to actually start using my lunge again
The gen kick nerfs were a bit much imo. I think we should have gotten some better basekit regression, and just made it so you could not stack them. Stand alone I think they were fine, now they are totally garbage
CoH nerf im also not entirely sure about.
Overall I would say it's a massive buff for both Nurse and Blight which is never a good thing to say
-
I doubt too many people will use it? Plus it's not like her lullaby was quiet or something. Anyone paying attention would hear it anyways.
Clump of hair + reiko's watch is still a dirty combo against potato survivors. 0 chase power but it does mean you can usually get right up on top of people wraith style while still having her teleport

Asides from Plague with Black Incense, I said in my posts that I don't camp or stand near hook for my strategy. I patrol the nearby area far from the hook so survivors come to unhook.
Matchmaking is based on mmr not ranks.
I tunnel almost every match. But that is because I typically only have ~1 gen perk in my builds so by the time I hook someone 2 gens are usually almost done
It's always super tilting to basically play the first chase perfect but then still lose almost 40% of your objective for it. Especially on weaker killers where the survivor basically just needs to predrop a couple safe pallets and boom 2-3 gens gone.
The only real drawback is that it gets boring tunneling every time. I wish you could play for 12 hooks without throwing the game but it's only possible against bad survivors or if you are spamming an OP killer

Did 10 extra seconds stop gen rushing from occurring without slowdown? No? Then why would it be any different with healing? Medkits are not gone, if anything, they’re more important to run for what I stated before. Any survivor can loop with one healthstate for at least long enough for gens to get done, especially when SB exists and all these survivor sided maps with loads of pallets also still exist. There needs to be something to take care of gens, whether it’s Call of Brine or old Pop. Otherwise gens will go too fast.
I don't know what killers you are playing, but most killers these days can almost brute force every safe loop in the game. You are talking like everyone is playing Wraith in the days of killers like Blight, Pyramidhead, Mastermind, Knight, and all the other killers who can basically negate looping. Not to mention some incredibly strong anti-loop perks like dissolution now exist
I will take my massive killer buffs, CoB for DH is a trade I would have made even without healing getting increased to ludicrous levels
3~ sloppy hits is now an entire generator worth of healing and "gens will go too fast" he says
-
@TigerSnake said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3384261#Comment_3384261
And what if people don’t heal and rush gens instead? There’s also We’ll Make It to drastically reduce the healing time, and medkits still provide two heals which saves more time than one survivor healing another so longer heals aren’t really going to have the impact you think they will.
Kinda wild. Taking some power off gen kicks but then adding in entire gens worth of extra healing into the match and people say it won't be impactful.
CoH gone, crutch hard gone, medkits nerfed into the floor, healing time increased dramatically. And then someone is complaining because call of brine won't delete gens passively anymore? It's such a net win for killers, at least any killer that wasn't relying on call of brine.
If they don't heal then they get 1 shot by wraiths, dredge spends all game in nightfall, oni spends the entire game in his power etc etc. Use common sense here. If the survivors can easily get away with never healing all game then you are not playing well as killer
-
@TigerSnake said:

COB and OC were basically replacement Pop/Ruin in the sense that they’d quickly decimate a gen with a lot of progress. The fact that they in particular took no effort was only part of their appeal. Now we have nothing good that can control gens with a lot of progress, only trash perks no one cares about, making playing for hooks nearly impossible.
That's a hot take when with sloppy you are now looking at ~30 second heal times. And crutch hard being gutted?
This patch is a massive buff overall for killer, I would be surprised if it even goes through in it's current form. Some killers like Dredge, Hag, Wraith, etc etc are getting the biggest buffs they have ever gotten all at once.
-
I wish there was a random build option that came with a BP bonus. Would shake up the game quite a bit I would think, especially as killer. And it should let people at the end screen know it was from the random build option. The "meta shakeup" didn't do much when I see the same 5-6 survivor perks in every single game
-
Dredge for me. It would be Onyro if she wasn't so god awful without specific addons.
I just enjoy the mix of mobility and stealth even if the chase powers are not that amazing. Going beast-mode at night is great, and popping out of lockers actually seems more like a horror game to me than the other characters.
A lot of the stealth killers got their horror aspect nerfed with the new UI icons, but having the mobility to strike anywhere at the drop of a hat mitigates that problem quite a bit
-
I think she can do fine with a chase build, assuming you have decent add-ons. The purples all make her a beast in chase and the greens are pretty good as well.
Idk who thinks 3 genning from the start of the match is a good idea. 3 genning usually means nothing unless a survivor is dead. You can't really hold down 3 gens with 4 survivors alive if they are playing aggressively. It works if someone is being a potato and goes down with safe pallets still available to throw but even if they are all exposed they could be holding sprint burst and not care. Plenty of strong survivors don't even stop to heal if they are injured.
Really the ideal play is to hook someone and THEN 3 gen at that hook. But with SM they can just run up and trade unless you have lots of STBFL stacks.
Maybe it works vs. bad solo Q players but probably not against your average SWF on comms who are running prove and maybe have a BNP
-
Have you read her addons? You can already have drones apply oblivious or hindered lol
Still don't understand why people think you should just 3 gen from the start. She is a beast in chase and I have won every game so far doing a tunnel out strategy
So if you get a survivor trapped at a loop:
You get almost brutal strength, 2% haste kicking a pallet. Another 5% haste from kicking the pallet. And maybe another 5% from PWYF.
So you kick a pallet with brutal strength and then chase the survivor, who you get wallhacks on, and get 12% movespeed and if the survivor stayed at the pallet too long they are exposed. How is that weak?
It's double purples but this is just a strongest case scenario. Many of her greens with a purple are still very serviceable builds
-
Pinhead sort of already did this. And survivors hate him.
The box + plaything totems is enough to overwhelm most solo Q teams
I personally really hate getting punished for my teams mistakes, because DBD isn't a game where you can carry a bad team to victory. You just kind of do gens, wait for the team to die, and wait for hatch. Even if you are a god looper the killer can just ignore you, and bodyblocking only does so much.
Oni is one of my most hated killers to face for this reason. Against a good one in blood fury there is almost nothing you can do, and all it takes is someone on your team getting hit too early and you just die with no input in many cases. Meanwhile im holding my sprint burst and would predrop every single pallet if I was the first one being chased, but ~3/4 times you are not
That's why im against team-wide buffs or nerfs in a game like this
-
Monstrous shrine, it's probably even worse than before the rework.
But a very small handful of killers with area control or map wide wallhack addons can actually zone people away long enough for it to get some kills / second stages you would not normally get otherwise

Dead hard for distance had no counterplay for 90% of the cast though. I'll take a deep wound over an i-frame scammed hit
It's a bit silly we're at the point now where people genuinely think old DH was better for Killer.
DH still has no counterplay in tight loops. It's basically the same thing in a lot of cases. Some killers just get completely gutted by it (pyramid head). Now instead of them just gaining a few meters for dodging your super slow and predictable attack, they get an entire sprint burst. Trickster also losing all progress on his knives for a DH basically ruined the character because I still get lobbies with 3-4 DHs.
But similar to old DH, the strongest killers don't even care about it and just plow through extra health states. It's really the weaker killers who actually suffer
-
@Brokenbones said:
Please no
I know this is a contentious opinion but I don't actually mind the new DH that much
Old DH was the most frustrating thing for Killers to deal with and maybe to some the new DH is but not for me personally lmao
Yeah it's great never being able to use a lunge attack against good survivors
The animation is also shorter than the ability which is infuriating to wait it out but still eat a DH anyways
I would honestly rather deal with the old DH. At least then on a lunge attack they don't get halfway across the map for "outskilling" you when you can only do a short attack at loops
The only plus side is that many killers can now completely bypass it, but the ones that got screwed by it get screwed by it extra hard these days

I think people are just not realizing what she can do? I have only played her a few matches and just looking at the addon descriptions is enough.
The addons to make survivors oblivious, + hindered in the drone zone look really dirty. So combine that with a few STBFL stacks, maybe fearmonger or something, and you are basically walking up to oblivious, blind, and exhausted people and nearly instadowning them
Save the best is mandatory on her I think. Once you have made a dead zone, it lets you actually down people in it. Otherwise they can just hold W to the other side of the map after every hit.
I haven't even touched some of the perks that could probably be really cheesy on her yet, like monstrous shrine
From what I saw you can just place a drone down before hooking someone and cheese the game that way?

I feel the same way. I have 1k hours so far, and only recently swapped over to play killer. I only feel comfortable playing nemesis. On every other killer i feel tons of anxiety. The mmr system doesn't make it easy either to get into killer. The first time you play killer on killer you never touched before you will have like i would say 6-7 good games till your MMR goes up, and then you face survivors bringing dead hard/ boiled over/ unbreakable with maxed out medkits with iri addons with maxed out toolboxes with brand new parts. Its truly a sweat fest going up against these players, and if you don't play exactly right gens go within like 5 minutes. I made a rule for myself that if I don't get a kill by 2 gens I'll start camping/tunneling to atleast get 1-2 kills. It works i atleast get some kills this way, but then get trash talked in lobby saying oh you can't win unless you camp. Like the same ######### can be said about you? You cant win if you bring every second chance perk in the game with iri addons with medkits? You don't see me trash talking you for bringing that crap, but you gonna give me crap cause you gen rushed me with everything including prove thyself. Yeah If I didn't tunnel or camp at 2 gens I wouldn't get any kills with those type of matches. Do what I do turn off the end game chat, and if the survivors make it to the exit gates don't sit there watching them t-bag just turn around and go smash doors/pallets for points.

Ah, yes. The dreaded -rep.
Wait, why do we care about this again and why do idiots do this?
Because survivors would not be running up to me and suiciding as if I was Nurse if he was a bad killer? I had multiple teams suicide or kill themselves on hook even yesterday.
I wanna say his power is the least interactive in the game, assuming you play it correctly. It's actually hilarious when you get it to work.

Literally the most braindead downs and I am abusing this killer until his nerf. The fact that with certain addons you can basically turn these into a homing missile is wild too. If someone gets a max map of the realm + call to arms assassin dropped near them and it triggers at the edge of the detection radius the bot literally flies into them for instant damage it's the most stupid thing ive ever seen

Knight brings the salt for sure.
Some people use him to camp gens, I use him to camp hooks.
Like Twins, he is a killer I unironically use forced penance on. Kinda like Hag his main issue is getting a hook to camp in the first place but from there you are usually golden. When the team is injured it's impossible to save against him and he can camp with impunity; from a long enough distance to even counter reassurance sometimes
I usually kick off a match using the Carnifex to break a wall, or I just dump him out. Then I have the assassin for the first chase and and I try to get the first damage with the assassin since he counters crutch hard

The window blocking addon does absolutely nothing because by the time you've navigated through the window the survivor has already left the loop. Nobody sticks around a window long enough for it to matter.
Map of the realm is mandatory if you want your summons to do literally anything. Without it they're just blind and survivors can play around their radius with line of sight blockers.
Your theory crafting about a knight patrolling basement is nonsense. If he's drawing a max path you've got a few seconds to just run down there and save. If he's not then you still run down there and save. Honestly doctor camps better than he does, if you really wanna subject yourself to staring at a survivor for five minutes.
Wild take. You know you can pre-emptively draw the path through a window in an area you expect survivors to be at, right? Say you get discordance at a gen, and that gen is near a jungle gym. So at 30-40m away (depending on your addons) you drop the orb and fly it through the window and onto the gen. Then they are chased by a guard and the window is blocked. It is not that hard?
Same with you thinking him camping the basement is bad. I actually think that's crazy considering he is the only killer who can stand at the top of the stairs and still effectively pressure gens. Game awareness is a thing, you don't have to draw the path when a survivor is right there primed to save.

Since there are plenty. Could you name a couple of them, please?
Every single M1 killer who has to hit survivors twice can trivially be basement dove. Key difference with Knight is he can basically take 1 survivor out the game, so even with the entire team alive he can still make a basement save only a trade even if they play it well. While pressuring gens at the same time. Bubba can stand at the top of the stairs and kill people but he can't pressure gens so he is on a fixed timeframe to camp people to death in

In terms of kit design, the Knight is by far the worst in DBD history (only other valid answer is OG Legion). He highlights the most boring aspects of the game for both roles simultaneously and nothing changed in terms of the community's perception of him. Like I said on ScottJund's video last night he's nothing more than a pseudo-RTS gimmick for people that wanna feel clever with the guards. There's nothing clever or skillful about his kit though, you literally just drop a guard down one lane and pinch the other with the Knight or you just hold W which a 10 year old can also do. Both players hold W until the Survivor reaches a deadzone or a safe corner tile where they still get hit no matter what. Knight fans will act as if people are just missing an undiscovered skill-ceiling for him, but the reality is that there is none. I've tried every credible build combo on him, I nearly completed the grandmaster adept challenge on him, I've looped sweaty players using him since the PTB, There's just little to no skill expression for either player when the Knight is involved
There is almost nothing skillful about survivor, like at all, in comparison to killer. By design 75% of your gameplay is holding M1. And not even holding M1 anymore, it's more like 75% of your gameplay is AFKing and hitting spacebar every now and then.
I don't see why every character needs you to ooze skill to play them

I like the change, but he's a weird killer.
Assume anything I don't mention I either like or am resigned to.
- Some of his addons are really meh, others are straight up not working properly.
- Summons are...I honestly have no idea how their pathing works. Sometimes you can completely counter them by dropping a pallet, sometimes not. Sometimes you'll loop one around a bush until it expires, sometimes it'll turn around and hit you.
- He's probably a touch too good at camping/tunneling, which is going to inflate his kill rates.
- Why can I get stunned in ghost form?
Well I think now that map of the realm isn't mandatory anymore you can use a lot of his other addons. The "summon x guard 2x in a row" addons are probably very good depending on what playstyle you are going for.
I haven't gotten around to the window blocking one yet but something tells me it will be outrageously strong on midwich where you can block the windows that connect two large rooms together and completely trap people inside with a guard while you come in from the main door.
Call to arms is disgusting now. You can drop guards straight on top of people completely outside of your terror radius. It's probably the best addon? That or increased hunt duration.

I honestly haven´t noticed an improvement. Sure, he gets a small speed boost. But holding w against him is still the strongest tactic.
Are there killers that are not oppressive in a 3vs1 or basement situation?
Yes plenty of M1 and low mobility killers can still lose in a basement or 3v1 situation. Knight basically cannot.
Most killers can't even realistically guard the basement and with basekit BT it's not much better than regular hooks for them. Knight can literally stand at the top of the stairs and drop guards on people 40m away with call to arms. So he is potentially the best basement camper in the game now

The lore dictates I must ruin other people's experiences because they are bad, I have no choice.
Copium.
Distilled entitlement. Tell me another PvP game where my objective is to make sure the opponent has fun?
Let me see.....oh yeah none of them. CoD, League, Apex, etc the primary goal of the game is to make sure the opponent plays as little as possible and you limit their game experience to sitting at the respawn screen. I have not, and will not, get why this game is any different.
Have you tried Minecraft? Maybe a cooperative game? I really think a game where the subject matter is a supernatural killer sacrificing people to the dark gods isn't for you
