boring seems to be the criticism when killers get buffed.
Please tell me what's intriguing about throwing a yellow bottle to get free hits? Even the Clown main who made a 200 page guide disagrees with his changes and made a 2 hour video on why the buffs shouldn't go live. And now here we are…

Do you feel the same when a killers powers negate entire survivor builds or is this a one way situation?
I'm not saying every killer power needs to counter a survivors build. But it makes perfect sense that a killer's power can counter the survivor's perks.

You're acting like pink bottles are any more skillful than yellow
At least with pink bottles you rely on predicting the survivor's pathing which is a form of skill expression. Throwing down a piss bottle to zoom around a filler pallet isn't skillful.

the fact you are getting any dislikes at all for a valid post regarding a literal gamebreaking issue just shows the tribalism and entitled mentality some survivors have . Yeah that's the truth bomb right there.
People literally downvote anything on this forum. They genuinely need to get rid of that feature it contributes nothing to post and discourages discussions.

Well maybe bc:
U cant see 1m in front of u
Cant see scratch marks
Cant see auras
Cant hear anything
All this while survivors still has other tools to make it even more busted for example:
They can use sprint burst and any other exhaustion perk to run away/annoy u like head on etc.
The whole point is to have a harder time tracking survivors. Could they reduce the cooldown and reduce the size of the fog? Yes. But complaining about the item doing what it's meant to do makes zero sense.
-
Isn't it confirmed that there's suppose to be an upcoming chapter that has a twists on one of the original characters? Maybe it has something to do with those two.

all this over the new item and a visual bug in the offering screen?
It's a lot more than that, low quality voice acting overall, a god awful excuse of a map, game breaking bugs, clown being overtuned now. this chapter release was a flop.
-
Aside from the obvious bugs regarding them, the outrage about fog vials is severely exaggerated.
-
I have to agree usually the devs spot on at choosing voice actors, but the in game voicelines are so awful that it actively bothers me when I play with or against any of the new survivors, especially Rick.
-
Genuinely all people do on these forums is whine. Nothing about this patch heavily favors one side or the other, it's getting to a point to where you just might not be a good killer.

If it gives you an unfair advantage I'd argue it is.
The devs don't consider it as cheating so it's not cheating.

Not the biggest fan of iri stone nerf. Plus trap recall could be thematic. His addons already have descriptions of iri stone being entity infused to automatically open after a time. Like how does Wraith being invisible fit his theme or lore? The bell ringing part makes sense but cloak comes out of nowhere. See where I'm getting at?
You got me there, but at the same time the game's lore, especially back then isn't the most coherent. You could argue that Wraith theme in terms of gameplay was meant to be the tracking killer. Going invisible and having perks that help find survivors reflects that. Regardless I guess Trapper could have a way to recall his traps. I still think he should start with all of them or at least more than 2.

But does it have to have connection to his lore? The entity empowers killers it brings into its realm. This could just be trappers special power.
It empowers killers in a way that thematically makes sense. There's a reason why you don't see Sadako with an ability like Huntress's.
As for the topic post, I think all these changes are pretty fine but Trapper being able to step over his own traps.

No. I assume by your sarcastic response that you can list plenty of nerfs that survivors have received recently. Please inform me. And don’t list things without also noting changes on the killer side. This has to be in the context of net overall nerfs/buffs to either side. Please explain how survivors have received a net nerf vs killer side any time in the recent past.
Or just downvote with no response - that’s the best way to win the argument.Obviously in the recent past survivor has been receiving less nerfs overall, but the comment you replied to never specified recent nerfs and you also didn't share that same idea that in your original comment. Maybe next time be more clear with your message and then you won't have people responding to you sarcastically.
-
I think it'd be so cool thematically if the killer was something that was the opposite of what the entity represents. But at the same time it wouldn't make too much sense since it'd also be the cause for their survivor counterpart's suffering. Regardless, I'm hoping for this chapter the devs will finally go in on religious horror again.
-
I think in terms of micro gameplay he can be fun to verse, and I mean with immense emphasis on can.
In macro gameplay it's mostly dependent on how good the Singu is and his playstyle. I think breaking 3 gens have the potential to be fun especially if the killer is good, but if their goal is to slug, regardless of their skill level, then its pretty lame.

what nerfs did survivor side get?
Is this a joke?
-
I play a lot of Huntress but it's been increasingly annoying to play her since at least a few times a match a hatchet will hit a survivor, hit sfx and blood vfx appear but it deals no damage. This type of stuff has been in the game for years, I remember back in the day something similar would happen with Billy's chainsaw too.
-
I don't think he deserves to be nuked, but if your "intended feature" was presumed to be a bug then that's a huge sign to remove it.
-
Devs killed coldwind by adding new tiles that suck, take priority over existing ones, and that no one asked for. They could've easily taken existing tiles from MacMillan and Autohaven and put them into coldwind, but they decided to cook up new jungle gyms that aren't fun to play on either side. Coldwind is only enjoyable as surv if you're playing on Torment Creek.
-
I really doubt you've mained killer for as long as you say cause if you did you'd completely understand why some things are the way they are now for survivor.

Only if you could down the unhooker within 16 meters of the recently unhooked guy. You'd think if the recently unhooked guy WASNT being hit or chased, he'd be running a different direction. Forced hesitation is more for hitting multiple ppl when they group up. The fact that can include someone recently unhooked and doesnt differentiate who it effects based off hook order doesnt make it a tunneling perk anymore than any other perk.
Yes, you are right that it's main use is for going after survivors in groups. But I'm specifically referring to scenarios where a survivor is forced to trade hook states with someone to prevent them from dying. And typically, in a situation like this, the unhooker goes down, which would proc the perk and apply the hinder to the unhooked survivor which would influence the killer to tunneling them. And let's be real you're more likely to get value from the perk this way than survivors that just happened to be grouped together.

It would make it easy to hit multiple survivors if they're near each other, but it has 0 value for tunneling.
So in situations where you down an unhooker, forced hesi activates, and the unhooked survivor moves 20% slower, would that not create a good window for the killer to tunnel?
-
@LordGlint said:

What's it have to do with tunneling?
20% Hinder on downs for 10 seconds? Does that not make it wildly easy for the killer to tunnel and slug.
-
I've always found forced hesi to be an issue. It promotes a playstyle the devs are actively trying to mitigate; even if reducing tunneling wasn't one of the devs' priority the perk is still unhealthy even if it doesn't see much usage.
-
It has strong tiles like any other map but describing it as massive is a complete joke. The map size is comparable to Coal Tower.

The chase music could be partially fixed.
There's like 5 or 6 different chase music that are shared between Trapper, Wraith, Huntress and Plague.
Just give one of those songs to each of these killer. EXTREMELY easy to do.
Freddy, Amanda and Bubba also share these, but they are licensed which turns things a little bit difficult.I think it'd make more sense to give the rest of the killers unique ones, then add a toggle in settings that let's you chose if you want unique or default music.

Lol. You do realize that the community has more survivors than killers, right? The "most voted" killer perks would be "Stand still for 60 seconds to gain 1% Haste for 1/2/3 seconds." Meanwhile, the survivor perks would be, "You gain 40/45/50% increased action speed."
That's why the community would be submitting perk ideas and the devs would be the ones choosing the perks to add to the game?
-
Map rotation is definitely broken. 50% of my matches in this past week have been on Hawkins, the map is lame to play on as killer or survivor.
-
This is something they should do for the upcoming community made chapter. They should allow the community to submit perk ideas for the chapter and choose one for the survivor and killer that they like the most.
