  • Counter-point: SURVIVORS ON NEW MAP ARE CRAZY!
    ... they're invisible ...

I'm sorry what are you saying exactly? I suggested the idea to make D-strike Accurate to the movie and fair for killer, but you don't like that idea? but your saying it wouldn't be fun if my suggestion became real? Look over your comment and try again.

Heres what I said Since you missed my point:
Laurie's perk is based off the part where she stabs the Shape after he tries to kill her.
In the horror movie Halloween (which you haven't seen apperantly)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFwCC7r92OA

But the thing is, Laurie was the only one who stabs Micheal. All of her friends died and they didn't have anything to fight back with.
My suggestion would make it so the killer would only have to worry about one person landing the skill check (You know if they ran said perk) while anyone who brought it along with them doesn't get anything because they are not the obsession. And it would become movie accurate.

Ok, let's use your logic. "Franklin's Demise" was only used once in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. So the perk should only be allowed to be used once per trial and only on one survivor? That's not making the perk movie accurate or fair for either side, that's just making a perk poorly designed.

DS needs to be nerfed, reworked, or removed, but your idea is terrible in terms of making it "fair" for both sides. You should make the perk accurate to a point, but not if it means massively limiting its use like your DS logic or it's logic applied to other perks, like Franklin's Demise for example.

And i paid for Laurie only to get DS nerfed, ######### happens

I'm sorry, that was HOW many months after her release? DS is still OP. Atleast it had it's time to shine. Freddy was released as the weakest killer in the game and STILL got nerfed a week later. Pigs also just been bad from the start.

  • I can't pass up a discussion on Franklin's Demise without noting that the perk makes absolutely no sense. Context: The perk was based on THIS scene from the first Chainsaw Massacre movie.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTlDmehDmsQ

Leatherface chainsaw's Franklin, causing him to drop his flashlight as he dies (see: the perk icon and name). This perk was specifically nerfed post-release to not allow it to activate on chainsaw hits. Why you would drop a flashlight from a hammer hit as opposed to being eviscerated by a chainsaw, I have no idea.

As for the DS change.... that ain't it. If it were up to me the perk would be deleted and replaced. But either way, having a perk be outright useless because 1 of your 3 teammates decided to take it as well is the opposite of fun. Granted there has never been anything fun about DS in the first place, I'd like to see RNG in this game minimized.

  • In addition to everything that's been said here, there should never just be a perk that completely nullifies a killer or survivor perk. Even if it's a crappy, over nerfed perk like Iron Grasp that sees next to no use by anyone with access to teachable perks. That's just dumb. It requires zero thought process.

There are perks that "counter" other perks, but they are not 1:1 hard counter "your perk is useless against me just because I equipped this perk". Example, you still have to hit a survivor and protect the totem for The Third Seal to cancel out Empathy/Bond.

  • The same thing gets said every time. Most developers announce their DLC then drum up hype by releasing details until we knew everything about it. When they say "soon" it usually means that they'll be giving a release date soon, not dropping the DLC out of nowhere.

Before these last couple DLCs we wouldn't even know exactly which killer we were getting before they dropped the DLC (with no release date warning), just some perk descriptions. Thankfully they're using PTBs now. I guess this way is working for them, so they probably won't change it any time soon.

Still, a release date prior to release is prettttty common practice, and it would be nice...

  • People are way too sensitive in this game. Had this happen to me before, I laughed it off. It's just one match. Being able to get revenge is one of the best things about this game, even if it is self sabotaging (IE, hard camping a tea bagging, bming survivor while all his buddies pop gens left and right).

  • That sounds awful, both as a killer and as a survivor. How you spread out and complete gens is a pretty huge part of the strategic element as a survivor. There would be no incentive to not just 3-4 man stack a generator. As a killer there would be 60 seconds of zero urgency because the survivors would have nothing else to do. I'm not saying it would make killer "easy mode", just not the direction I'd like to see them going in. 60 seconds of knowing the survivors are doing nothing but hiding doesn't sound very thrilling to me.

Every licensed survivor and killer has had perks that line up with their movie series and they make sense with their characters

Oh really? You do know that Franklin's Demise was based on this scene, right: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTlDmehDmsQ

Leatherface chainsaw's Franklin, causing him to drop his flashlight as he dies (see: the perk icon and name). If you want to complain about lack of faithfulness to source material then let's start with all the killer nerfs that survivors were mum about, k (looking at you, Freddy)?

No, prevent Dcing in the first place by harsh punishments.

btw, all survivors DCing gives the killer 2,5k BP and he loses all addons and offerings, seems fair eh?

Problem with your logic is what if someone crashes as opposed to just rage quiting / dropping, then it's going to punish for something that is out of their hands.

So? Welcome to ranked matches in just about every single online game. It happens once, you get a small punishment but a punishment nonetheless. It happens consistently (say, more than twice a day)? Then that means it's likely something on your end, now take a long (forced) break which will give you time to fix your issue.

  • Who needs Bond when voice chat is free for every survivor? :D

  • A few things here:
    1) If a Survivor gets a bad game and dies early he can simply move on to the next game and continue gaining BP. If a killer gets slammed he has to stick it out and eat every pallet loop, every teabag, every BM for the entirety of the game, even if it means walking away from a long game with 5k points.
    2) Items and add-ons are carried over from game to game as long as you are successful and can be obtained in the map itself. Even if a killer gets a 4 kill match none of their rare and ultra rare addons will make it to next game. They must continuously pump points into 1 of 12 killers to have decent addons.
    3) Most importantly, you only need to level up one survivor. There is no incentive to level up more than one survivor except for teachable perks which can already be obtained through the shrine whereas each killer plays differently. Therefor there is a higher demand for BP for killers than survivors.
