  • It might be a bit since they did rework him not too long ago. Cannot say for sure. In my experience, it does seem they did make it somewhat easier to reveal, because I genuinely could not reveal him ever before the rework. But that's not to say it works 100% of the time.

80% of the time I can say that I was able to reveal him, and it was fair for both sides, but the other 20% has either been he barely had an opportunity, or I was close enough to his face to kiss him and it still refused to reveal.

  • Don't threaten me with a good time.

  • Seconding No Way Out. Worst case scenario, you could trap both exit gates and get two indications when someone is trying for the gate.

Agitation is good for basement hooks, and Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine is good for basement hooks and not camping.

Oppression is a favorite gen perk, either that or Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.

Coup De Grace is a perk I run on almost all M1 killers because it's so good.

If you have the common add-on that allows you to not get stuck in your traps (but disables them instead when you walk into them), you can get some disgusting plays. Singlehandedly turned a 0k into a 4k at 1 gen with it.

Finally, if you want to, bring a map offering to up the chances of a preferred map.

    Good luck!

  • I do usually give the benefit of the doubt (a single or double click of a flashlight or nodding/"come over here" after a pallet stun), but if it is either obvious or a constant pattern, I no longer worry about niceties. If I get a 1K because I only get someone who BMs me the whole game, I count that as a win personally.

  • I would say it depends. I personally used my shards to buy all the characters, then went for cosmetics, but this is also considering I play every survivor and killer for fun anyway.

If there is a killer/survivor perk in the Shrine for a licensed character you want without having to spend 500 auric cells, or you know you cannot be bothered to play someone like Clown for Bamboozle for example, go to the shrine. For instance, Sole Survivor and Hangman's Trick are there if you want them (for some reason).

If you play survivor more often, I'd say buy a character whose perks or general vibe you like the most. If you play killer, either follow suit or wait to spend them on when the perk shows up in the tome. For example, Blight's perks should be cycling in within the next two months with Undying and Blood Favor. Hope that helps!

  • Zarina or Jeff are desperately needed. Having a Mikaela one outside of the Midnight Grove tome would be welcome. But any would be cool.

A Feng Min tome would be interesting to see, I think they might just go "Oops, all Feng Min cosmetics!" for it though!

The reason you have tier 1 of their perks is likely due to unlocking their teachables prior to their removal; the game is recognizing you had their teachables unlocked by giving you the tier 1 of that perk, this is just what I’ve gathered from looking at my killer perks all are tier 1 on teachables I have unlocked.

I can vouch for this as well, I have all teachables for Ash on all my survivors without prestiging him before the update.

Do you know if you prestiged them before Stranger Things was taken off the marketplace? Maybe that would be a potential reason? If you didn't unlock them as teachables before they became general perks that might explain why it's like that also.

  • When I'm not playing DBD, I play a bunch of Paladins and I still need to finish Disco Elysium (which I would 100% recommend).

  • It would be a funny April Fools' joke if they edited the map to take it away and just responded to everyone on Twitter with "Huh? There was never a generator there. You're silly".

  • I heavily agree with this sentiment. It is a big pain when I am doing a gen and I see the two in the corner pop and have to re-coordinate my playstyle and potentially abandon my gen to avoid a three gen. In maps like The Game or Midwich, my pattern is always whatever floor I'm on, then alternate unless there's like two on the upper floor.

Slightly off topic, but I do disagree with the saloon gen being the easy one though. Yes, it's easy to get to and check its progress, but the issue is if I'm a killer on the map, I can get to it easy and I can see you working on it. Sometimes it's good to knock that one out of the way so if the other two are perfectly diagonal of each other they don't get to patrol that one for free.

  • I just finished the challenge now, and not to be dramatic but I am still reeling from a headache and I felt like I was going to throw up midway through. I feel bad for the sixth hook in my game for camping but I needed to step away.

I love the idea of different glyphs but this needs to be changed; I do not think I can handle a higher level of the glyph as is.

  • Stop, stop! It's already dead.

  • I've been playing survivor a bunch lately and Ruin doesn't seem like much of a problem to me anymore as it did. I now go "Oh, Ruin" instead of "sigh...Ruin...", but that also might be because of my frame of mind of the 10 sec addition to gens. I also agree with the totem going dull after one person dies on hook. It in a way changes the game a bit to give survivors a likelier chance of getting out if it hadn't been cleansed already.

I think it was a very healthy change to the perk. It was a nerf, but I think it's something that doesn't break the game.

  • Sprint Burst's downside of you literally being forced to walk everywhere if you don't want to blow through it instantly makes it perfectly balanced IMO.

  • As far as BP goes, I noticeably get more and complete archive challenges faster as killer, but I do pip up more as survivor each cycle.

Personally the 10 second increase isn't noticable anymore but that might be my ADD messing with me. And the 10% increase to the action speeds is negligible. I still enjoy playing both sides equally.

  • As a fellow Pharmacy enthusiast, I love it.

  • The five people using Calm Spirit at any given time just dropped to two probably.

The literal only time Calm Spirit comes in clutch is if you go against Doctor. There really was no point in touching this perk, it just seems like a nerf. It should have gone the Tenacity route in the buff by making the crows never be alerted at any level and added something like your aura is seen for a second less or something.

And the two penalties just seem like a hassle. Oh no, I search a chest for a little longer...ooooohhhhhhhh...oh no the totem might not get cleansed in time but it doesn't matter because the killer didn't bring Thrill of the Hunt oooooohhhhhhhhh. It's annoying at worst, and I hope (but don't anticipate) they change it back.

The perk exists solely to counter boon users however what happens if no one even brings or uses boons during the trial? Suddenly you've wasted a whole perkslot (25% of your power) on something non-existing. Do you know any other perks in this game which are this hard of a hit or miss?

Originally I wanted to suggest allowing the killer to break ANY totem on the map to still get off the aura reading effect but then I realized Hex: Pentimento was a thing. Maybe delete the bones entirely if the killer breaks a dull totem?

The removal of the bones entirely seems like a good idea in theory, but it takes away the 1 in 30 games where Pentimento actually can kick in, lol.

Distortion lately is a massive hit for me, but before the update, I could count on one finger the times it actually worked in a day of survivor games. Don't get me started on Iron Maiden. The only time lately I've seen it work is because survivors press the wrong button and enter the locker instead of lock it!

  • This is more of a temp fix than anything, but maybe the challenge only works on Doctor? All the perks you mentioned came out after his release, so maybe it was designed with him in mind?

But this definitely should be something looked at.

  • Love Autodidact! It's super cool and feels so good when it comes in clutch.

  • Carl_Brutananadilewski.png

I know it would never happen, but Carl from ATHF would be funny as hell.

  • Honestly, I've been trying to use up the flan I gathered for killers and prestige everyone before the update, but I 100% understand why you would want to hold off until then.

  • I supported the cause by playing a bunch of Artist games tonight!

But I do think it's weird. I haven't seen Pinhead in a minute, Sadako a little less so, but it has still been a while.

  • Right, but that's with the perks, items and cosmetics. I mean with specifically the level itself.

Would I have to start back to level 0 (with all the items), or would I remain at level 49, with only the level 50 bloodweb to complete after the patch?
