Pig is one of the best midtier killers. She does everything other midtier killer do, like a swiss knife. Antiloop like clown, stealth like wraith, grabs like myers, stalls like doctor. All in one package, but she takes practice. She's one of the killer that you would intuitively use wrong.

Exactly! The Pig is one of the Killers that has so much potential if you play her well! Her Ambush can turn a safe loops into a free hit, and if they don't abandon that loop, then that's a free-down as well! Her Mind Game Potential is crazy, plus she's shorter than most of the Killers so she gets even more Mind Game Potential! She can crouch as well and get stealth to Generators, which means you can get an initial hit! She won't get yanks but she will get an initial hit for free, which means chases overall shorter. Her Reverse Bear Traps can force the Survivors do nothing but to search for Jigsaw Boxes, allow her to insanely slow the game down better than any other Killers!

We clearly do not play against the same caliber of Survivors.

    Yes, even worse than Freddy.

The Pig was a Killer I used the most back when I was newer to the game. Stopped using her at around Rank 7 in favour of trying out different Killers. For a long while in Rank 1, I started using Doctor, Hag, Myers, Freddy. All Killers that I enjoy, and believe all can be relatively strong. Then, after finally acquiring all the Killer perks I wanted, I decided to go back to my roots and play Pig again.

    Good grief is she AWFUL.

Going back to The Pig after playing other, better Killers was hard. One half of her power is an RNG-based minor inconvenience. The other is good for nothing more than a potential grab off a gen at the start of the match where your vision is abscured and your movement is slow, zero terror radius doesn't compensate for the weak awareness and map pressure and the RBT to slow the game down depend entirely on chance (mostly with them getting taken off in 1 box). And oh boy, is that Ambush bad. 9 times out of 10 it is better to just stand up and attack...a unreliable mindgame around palettes against a weak survivor is the only use for it.

It also doesnt help that i personally find Pig boring to play. Because one half of her ability doesn't require much input on your end and the other half is so niche, you're walking around as a basic Killer with no power. This means you get looped HARD. Of course I use Enduring, Bamboozle and Spirit Fury to counteract this, but it doesn't make it any less boring and frustrating.

So yeah. My two cents on The Pig. I honestly enjoy playing Freddy more than her, and believe that he is actually better, even if not by a large margin. I'll be happy to play other, better and more fun Killers who can handle skilled SWF groups much better. Really hope there are buffs planned for her, cause if you ask me? Pig is THE WORST Killer in Dead By Daylight.

If you got to rank 7 with her, she's clearly not that bad of a killer. Try getting from rank 20 - rank 7 with freddy.

Well, I do play Freddy at Rank 1.

You waste 3 perk slots to make up for bad pallet looping and chasing ability instead of using those slots to slow down the game, get insta downs, cause blinds, slow gens, or even track for surprise plays. And you wonder why she feels bad.... you're playing her like the trapper, and she isn't the trapper....

Try facing skilled SWF and you'll see why being built for loops is useful, especially on Killers with weak powers or powers that don't help in the chase.

    <---------PIG MAIN

    BIG BRAIN!!!

You don't need to be built for loops to kill SWF groups, I've done it on plenty of occasions and I build 0 perks for loops. The only thing you need to do as pig is to learn how to mind game pallets. And all you need is 1 add on...combat straps.. The most basic add on and cheapest and you likely have dozens of them. If you're building NOTHING BUT pallet perks but lack the ability to loop pallets and get quick downs without those perks, you're....you're just stunting your growth. You start every match with 4 ruins, and vs certain SWF groups 1 helmet is enough for them to stop gens entirely giving you free reign to degress gens get insta downs, get several hooks, slug, and do all kindsa ######### in between that time. Time being the ultimate factor when you're playing the pig. I can stunt my games into lasting 28 minutes.... I haven't had time to calculate the longest match I've been able to drag out, but that was the latest one from an SWF group that ended in a 4k. And I run goofy perks like knock out, sloppy butcher, thanatophobia, bitter murmer, noED, caulrophobia, nurses calling, overcharge, distressing, haunted ground, literally I run every perk except!!! Perks that revolved around pallets.

You just have to think outside of the box and put survivors hands INSIDE of the box my friend.

If she's the worst, why you're using The Pig Avatar? XD

    That doesn't make any sense.

Higher crouch viewpoint, get rid of the stupid sound at the beginning of her ambush, combat straps by default and put Rule Set #2 in her base kit. That's all she needs.

    Agree completely.
  • Here are what I consider reasonable Pig buffs:

    -No screech on Ambush
-Jigsaw Boxes are not visible to the Survivors until the trap is activated.
    -Combat Straps is base kit.
  • Disagree with Hag being so low. Out of the 4 Killers I play (Doctor, Pig, Freddy, Hag) I feel she's my strongest Killer by a decent margin.
  • Imagine actually asking for buffs to the most overpowered perk. Lmfao.
  • Needs to give slight buffs to movement speed and attack cooldowns, too.
  • The build I run for Hag is Whispers, Ruin, MYC, and M&A. Add-ons can be whatever you want, bug parts are best IMO you should always use one of those at least. Eggs I like too, but some people like circlets. Your TR is 16m and Whispers reads at 32m, meaning if you walk up to a gen when it procs then set a few traps and go in to flush them out then they will almost always hit a trap for EZ hits. Ruin because it's Hag's perk and especially good for her if it's in a "good" spot because she can trap it. MYC is a must have on her because she's the only one that can potentially return to a hook instantly from anywhere on the map. With Mint Rag this perk is unbeatable, the moment the save happens you teleport back.

Spirit I'm prestiging now, but I'm aiming for Whispers, MYC, Stridor, and M&A. Like Hag, she benefits from M&A/Whispers combo for stealth AND as a bonus M&A increases her TR in a chase making it easier to catch them with phase walk since they hear a hearbeat and not the woosh. Stridor is a MUST HAVE on her. If they don't have Iron Will it's impossible for them to juke you during phase walk if they are injured. You don't need to follow scratches or blood just listen, they can't hide it either. MYC because I think it works really nice for Spirit but you could do Ruin or Sloppy maybe instead.

For Nurse I run Whispers, Stridor, Shadowborn, and Blood Warden. It's quite a scary build and really REALLY hard to hide from, especially if you are injured. Might be wondering why Stridor, well it's Nurse perk but it can help you track in corn and fog REALLY well. Shadowborn is a must for her because it counters fatigue. And in combination, with Whispers means you can track survivors really well and pressure them hard, as you know when they are within your TR based on Whispers. BW has been my most reliable source of game control. Ruin just seems to go so fast when I'm a Nurse IDK, bad luck maybe. BW adds guaranteed 60 seconds to the game. If you can hit blinks and know how to follow Whispers you can seriously pressure survivors with this, it's a lot of fun. Just be ready for a possible gen rush, if you use BW like I do then focus on chasing someone and getting them down when the gates power ASAP. Most survs rush the door and it will be open by the time you get the hook and I've caught so many players with their pants down. BW is amazing.

Huntress I like Blood Warden (same reasons above), Ruin, Whispers, and BBQ. While Huntress is really good, unlike the other "slow" killers she is actually slow. The others have ways to move fast or break chases. Huntress doesn't have that, she just has hatchets. BBQ is best for her because it saves time and let's you focus on a new target, and/or see what people are up to. Whispers is absolutely necessary on her, it's really easy to hide from her like it is Nurse. If you KNOW survivors are around then you know to keep searching for them and eventually you will find one. Helps you save time since you don't need to go all the way to the gen or totem or gate to see if someone is there, Whispers will tell you.

On Freddy I run gen lockdown, IDK why everyone insists he is late game. Playing him late game is a HUGE gamble. I do Dying Light, PWYF, Ruin, HHG, Class Photo and Z Block. The add-ons let you see everyone's aura during transition, and block offsets the extra transition time to make you look like a "baby" Freddy with normal transition time. Sleep everyone until you find the obsession, and tunnel them to a hook. Use PWYF if they are a good obsession, just break 3 chases quick you can let them go a bit since you are Freddy just be on them to sleep them again if they break out of dream. Ruin is there to buy you time to catch the obsession, and HHG protects ruin and lets you one shot the obsession (get 2 tokens of PWYF and HHG proc, then just start following the obsession watch them freak out how fast you are). Bring a mori if possible, but you can still get the build to work if the group is even slightly altruistic. Once you get the obsession hooked it's best to let them get saved since they die fast (especially if you have a mori). If you proc DL and they have anything more than 3 gens to do you win. Use CP to sleep everyone every time you sleep one of them, it will take over 5 minutes to do a gen in dream world, they will never get one done. Attack when it's convenient for you. Eventually you will catch them all, they could use every pallet and still not be any closer to escaping.

    HHG?
  • Eeny meeny minny mo....
  • As a Pig main myself, here are what I consider to be reasonable buffs:

-Reverse Bear Traps only reveal the Jigsaw Boxes once it is activated.
-Combat Straps Add-On should be base kit. This add-on is nearly mandatory due to how sluggish she is without it. It's taking up room for another add-on.
    -No roar on Ambush.

  • Boil Over is alright. It'll make risky hooks much harder to get but close hooks are obviously not gonna be stopped.

  • A tier is such a big stretch. Her traps are RNG (usually getting removed immediately) and her Ambush isn't much good for anything other than a mild mindgame around pallets. Aside from a select few her Add-Ons aren't very useful (Combat Straps should be on by default, honestly).

I've gotten to Rank 1 with her but it's mostly down to her basic attack and mechanics. Basically I'd be better off with any other Killer.

  • Amanda was one of the reasons I watched SAW. She's super sexy.

As for the game, she's not that great. I consider her a low tier Killer. But it's possible to make any Killer work with good enough mechanics.
