  • the gates are open and the survivors won't leave.  they insist you come look at them before they go so they can show you their epic celebration of requiring a microphone to escape.  very common on ps4.  why not go look at them?  after a half hour of tour de force defeat replete with toxic humimiations, the last thing i am interested in is such a show.  that isn't always the case though, sometimes they are simply doing god knows what and refusing to leave.  these maps...are pretty big.  the last thing i want to do is look for someone.  the game is over.  ah but it isn't until little johnny says it is.
  • there are no tactics available that help simpletons do better than they are ordinarily able to?
  • yeah, there are certain events that transpire prior to rage quitting.  equally as important to address those.
  • that font is impossible to read (or perhaps i am unwilling) but what i did read was penned by an 8 year old whose mom left him home alone for the first time.
  • are you new to playing interwebz?
  • this is also "off topic" posting.
  • one necessitates the other.  either is undesirable to deal with.
  • i don't care for swf at all but i do find hook blocking to be a viable strategy worth using.  perks alone are not so outstanding that they ensure survivor success unless the killer is bad.
  • zactly.  a mish-mash potpourri of vile degenerates.
  • i just want to avoid them altogether myself.  sick of the mic players.  swf never should have been implemented.

that video doesn't help me reapect such a view.  it is though he believes "winning" aa killer is getting a 4k every game and anything short of that isn't fun.  throughout the video he is justifying why he does what he does.  in the video i provided, he starts camping ar the beginning.  i do camp when the gens are done or when i am hook blocked and the like by the swf mic team.

Camping your first catch is actually one of the most effective strategy to kill high rank survivors. Any experienced killer will tell you this.

It's just basic strategy and common knowledge amongst high ranks.

Unless the survivors are really, really bad, it's impossible for most killers to win without camping or tunneling. The Wraith is not a Nurse or even a Hillbilly. He barely has the ability to get a good survivor on a hook in the first place, let alone catch him from full health 3 times along with his friends.

as i showed before, all survivors are p3.  all killers p2 but 2 are p3.

the real elephant in the room, the problem that no one talks about here, is swf.  survivors playing with mics is overpowered.  good luck not getting matched up with them.  they are the ones who make the killer a joke.  horrible to play against.  it is difficult (as it should be) to go against an organized team of survivors but with mics....i just can't compete.  i hope i don't need to lay out the case as to why but i will if i have to.

It has nothing to do with luck.
Just lobby-dodge the SWF matchups, if you go against them, then you do that on purpose and its kinda your fault

The game isnt even balanced if experienced survivors play solo, guess what happens if experienced survivors abuse voice comms as a tactical tool

i play on ps4.  the only way i can dodge is if they all appear at the same time.  otherwise, their friend's list is usially on private.

Every time someone complains about camping, i´m tempted to link them to a thread where they complain about BBQ and vice versa.

some complain about not winning every game.

Anyone who thinks camping is not an IMPORTANT game mechanic does not understand the game. There are several mechanics built into the game specifically for camping. The wraith’s invisibility is one, Insidious is another, the Hag’s trap teleportation is another, etc. Instead of complaining about it with the rest of the 4%’ers, join the 96% who figure out ways to work-around it. Worst case, 1 survivor dies and everyone else gets out, if you play it right. Play it wrong and all survivors die. The most common reason for dying to a camper is greed. Being so greedy that you must get the save points, isn’t healthy for survivors.

P.S. Camping does have a downside, if done improperly. It’s up to the killer to know when to camp, and when not to. During the end-game, any killer who doesn’t camp is just playing foolishly.

i could agree with that.  as i say again  his camping in the video i provided was unprovoked.
  • Lol i'm 95% sure that this post was extreme sarcasm...unless the poster isn't that experienced in which case it goes down to 42% sure...and if the poster has only ever played survivor this goes down to -5% sure

    I love/despise this game

    https://youtu.be/d0ApAwtAzN4

as for killers, wraith and trapper at p3 and all the rest at p2.
  • Not the first time he’s been a douche nugget in his videos. I stopped watching his videos after he uploaded a SWF match where they bullied and teabagged the killer the entire game.

    that earns camping hardcore.
  • People still can't accept that camping is still a thing and literally intended by the Devs? It's really not a big deal in the slightest.

    you don't play survivor.

    A killer camped.
    A survivor got mad.

Things are in order in here.
As Tyde said in one of his previous video : Wraith is FULLY INVISIBLE while not moving. If it's not built for a camper, tell me what it is ?

EDIT : I suggest you to watch this. image He clearly explains his point of view about camping, and got "everyone" (amongst his fans, that is) camped.

The whole point isn't to ruin survivors. The point is to get a strategy to win without running in circles.

Exactly, at some point it just boils down to the Killer having had enough of ring around the rosie. They just wait and make the survivors come to them. I truly understand campers at that point.

i do too.  camping is a reaction for me but not something i outright do unprovoked.

  • if all survivors place emphasis on unhooking, it can be dealt with and effectively countered.  especially with borrowed time.  unfortunately, only one survivor generally shows up to unhook.  all 4?  it can be done and without mics.  it can also become a disaster with terrible decisions made with timing and such.
  • Please no. The pedophile director Victor Salva doesn't need another royalty check. There's other better creature killers that aren't created by a pedophile that could be put into the game.

For example: Pumpkinhead, Wishmaster, Leprechaun, the Predator, Chucky, Bigfoot, and the giant cockroach from Mimic.

    amen.
  • Given the IP is owned by the director and his past is beyond disturbing, I would quit DBD if they brought Jeepers Creepers into this game.

i don't know that i would quit but i would never buy the character.  i really hate the director and his unrepentant attitude.  sick degenerate puke, he is.

@Wolf74 I consider camping and tunneling something bad killers do to try to get a win. I don't believe the game was designed for one player to get screwed and be out of the game in less than 2 minutes just because he was seen first. That being said, if a killer is against a good survivor team he will ensure his own loss and low blood point total if the survivors sit on gens instead of crouching around the hooked survivor. The main problem is that it's unlikely anyone will pip in this situation (unless the survivors all get caught and go out the same way). Camping and tunneling are fun for no one. Hooking, unhooking, healing, running, stalking and mind games are fun for everyone. I'm not asking any killer to allow survivors to win, I just want them to play the game the way it was meant and designed to be played. If camping and tunneling were things that were meant to happen...you'd get huge bonuses for doing them. What you actually get instead is a safe pip if your lucky, a pitiful amount of blood points, and everyone had a boring game...including the killer.

bravo.  whole-heartedly agreed.  they should get 0 points for a sacrifice if they were within 32 meters at time of death and 0 points if someone is hit/downed or hooked in 30 seconds.

@ACoolName Or, run Light Born. You'd be amazed how useful that perk is against flashlights.

it truly is far more effect8ve than i had imagined.

  • I had a game recently on the corn fields where a guy was hooked, I was chasing the last person down, and he Kobe’d off. They had only a smidgen of one gen left to do, so before I could even pick the person up I’d downed, he completed it, and got Adrenaline to get back to fully healed.

So instead of picking the person up, I went towards the gen that popped. I eventually caught him, downed him, and hooked him again. They all died, 4 player SWF, and after the match they invite me to an XBL party and proceed to ######### on me for not “respecting the 4%”.

Depending on how a game is going, if I see someone 4%, I might not chase them. But to what end are you supposed to reward survivors for being lucky? He didn’t get tunneled, he even got back to full health. Am I supposed to let him heal and escape?

I’ve played over 1,000 hours, mostly killer, and there are a lot of just plain stupid unwritten rules survivors have, but this one is the most bizarre to me.

silliness.  if he was back to full health, he was fair game.  just more whining because some people expect to win every time.  i am careful to not camp unless all the gens are done and never rehook someone recently unhooked.  trying to lead by example but it doesn't work. i have lately been getting on killers about camping/rehooking someone just unhooked and a common excuse is "i was working on a daily."  really? camp x number of survivors to death?  i must have missed that one.

  • that'd be good and probably in their best interests, given how such benefits the owners of such.
  • absolutely.  when i play a game like f13th, there is no comparison.  they have fixed so many issues here and given us mass content.  i have never played a game this much.
