  • No, you may not destroy the Survivors resources before they used them. Its a Game man.

  • Don't need to shrink maps, but making pallet count depend on MMR is a good idea as high level Survivors certainly have too many.

What makes you think BHVR deals with frustrating perks in a timely manner? Dead Hard went untouched for months or even years at a time.

MFT's use rate is about the same as pre-6.7.0 Dead Hard, by the way. So on that front, we're back where we started.

That all depends on when it was decided that Dead Hard was growing too much again.

  • Sure, its strong. But on the other hand... The other Meta was stale and boring too.

I dont know what the use rate is, but I doubt its that bad or else bHVR would have done things.

  • There has been 2 RE chapters okay my dude, I think its okay.

I still want Lady Dimitrescu as a Killer tho, there is room for a third RE Chapter.

  • @BlightedTrapper said:

That's a good point, not sure why it isn't already like this. The only reason I'd keep the current system is if they finally allow us to see teammates' perks before the match.

this would just cause people to lobby dodge wayy more.

"not running the meta??? dont waste my time" I have met people like this.

  • I don't know how helpful the current tutorials are, I am a veteran and I watched them and I would not use them. I fear bHVR have wasted their time making them. The best place for advice is the loading screen tips and bHVR is currently not making more tips or updating old tips. Which is a shame.

  • 1 . Killing people is super easy, consequences though almost impossible to avoid. That's normal in stories that they do.

2 . I think idd be more worried about the claw blade on her hand than the toys above her.

3 . Dont underestimate reading books, but no also went to private school too. Adriana is obviously an intelligent psychopath.

4 . Most companies dont have private guards around each board member.

Your critique makes so little sense, Are you just mad about Chess Merchant and needs to find outlet in her writing to feel justified?

I will agree tho that her Running animation is too relaxed for the speed she can do. bHVR please reconsider it.

  • Let me get this straight, So what you are saying is... that TCM is better than DbD huh? That seems like the general vibe here.

    I'm just kidding 😎

1 . Multiple objectives have been on the cutting board for a long time, Totems were one and well its not the second coming. But multiple escapes is already in the game, There are the Gates or the Hatch. I dont generally look at dbd and think, oh the problem here is, "there isnt enough escape routes" I personally like how simple dbd is, but I think we could add things to the Generators.

Such as BIG Generators that take long to repair, or OLD generators that do more skill checks. All with new colors ofc.

2 . I don't want to play a game where every survivor is trying to min/max and everyone is playing the same Survivor to get a possible advantage, as you can see in TCM atm, if you try to play "Connie" everybody wants to swap with you or quit if they dont get to play her. As well as Cook players who just go AFK cause hes so bad to play as.

If bHVR can find a way to give Survivors a VERY minor and VERY inconsequential ability that would be great, but I dont think they even want to open that can of Worms. Like look at the problems already in TCM. I dont want that here lol.

3 . While your point is true, Look at it from the other angle. The Killer gameplay in TCM is incredible stale and boring and that has nothing to do with because DbD has more DLCs. Its because the gameplay is design for interactions, there is a reason bHVR went away from the old hiding mechanics. Even tho you STILL can hide and its funny too.

There are also design reasons why dbd Survivors are very lackluster with their life, because dbd fosters a game that is more about trying a new strategy and fail over and then adjusting, over failing and its game over.

Like there are reasons I have not bought TCM because all that I can see of that game, I don't think I would enjoy playing Killer in it AND DbD already provides a WAY better experience. Idd only accept it as a free gift to try it fully as there isn't a demo 40 dollars is a lot for such a gamble.

We shall see how TCM stands the test of time, but I'm certainly not impressed by that game when it comes to this experience that both games provides. But you certainly bring attention to some points that bHVR should pay attention to. Those are:

    1. Try again and harder with secondary objectives.
    2. Generator variations.
    3. Survivor differences, very minor ability.
    4. Make sure not to kill off stealth in DbD.

What we think of those points are subjective, but Idd say 1, 2 and 4 are super important in the future for dbd.

All I want to say is that you guys, with all these basekit and anti- things, are just leading to another huge killers buffs that you won't endure.

3 gening was a problem while gen kick meta, now it's not. SM is a problem now, everything else has a fair counterplay if u r not first day in this game.

Not entirely true, having a system in the back that prevents 3gen playstyles from developing is a pretty good idea.

No need to constantly tinker with each Killer to make them sure they cant 3Gen, its a relief to bHVR and players.

and it this new system shows Killers being weak then they can be buffed accordingly, even tho bHVR is slooow at that.

  • bHVR has been working on such a feature the entire spring, any system is already decided that is for sure.

But incentive for new hooks is a good idea, its been suggested many times. But bHVR has not said anything on it asfar I know.

  • this game hasnt changed all that much since it came out

    heavy-tf2heavy.gif

Sorry I think your critiques are somewhat unfounded, I disagree fully that Survivors have no chance of escape.

Could you perhaps share some gameplay footage of you playing, Perhaps we can help with better choices.

  • Disagree, give them a small active ability that they can do. a Tiny Secondary Objective.

  • There are 300 bHVRians working on this game for us, You cant afford to keep them running without a profit for too long.

I mean you could ask them to make Loot Boxes, microtransactions but I swear I will stand against you on that, bHVR promised us to not do the worst monetization policies and I think the better is way way way better for it now.

Mathieu Côté is a GamerDeveloper Saint for this, but nobody sings those praises too often. So let me; THIS IS GREAT.

He deserves kisses and hugs for not ending up sending this game down the route of Diablo 4.

I think we should be able to do something else, maybe bHVR could rewamp the bug report system so it works a whole lot better for us who report the bugs. Using Tags, a dedicated search engine for posts. That would be swell.

  • Its still in the top 10 most used perks my guy, Look here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/386368/stats-did-someone-say-stats/p1

A casual player definitely is not getting anywhere close to this many bloodpoints per game. As I recall it's roughly 1 million BPs to prestige. You'd need to get 100k bps per match on average to get 1.5 prestige levels in that many games. A killer might get 30-35k per match on average. A casual survivor probably 15-30k with far more variation. Probably on the lower end of that considering how many games snowball in the killer's favor due to various reasons. That's without incentives and offerings obviously. Now if you are a veteran player who has a huge stockpile of cakes and ONLY plays when the incentive is up then maybe it's not a problem. I just seriously doubt new players are pulling 100k per match.

New players can play during events too.

Question is how fast you think it should be

  • @IHSGames said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3521922#Comment_3521922

Well it should really take around 3 games to get enough bllodpoints to prestige once. Thats about an hour of playtime. With how many characters we have, how many prestiges and all, having 10 games actually give you 2 mil BP is too little for how big the time investment we made. We should earn alot more BP and get rid of the BP cap, especially for this economy. So 10 games would get you 3-4 prestiges.

How many hours over 3 months? Id say about 150 hours. Thats 1 hour of playing every 2 or so days.

Well it should really take around 3 games to get enough bllodpoints to prestige once.

And why is the reason this should be the case?

  • They already did that, The Blight.

  • I think this argument is really important, It IS a bloody shame to have stuff be collecting dust on underplayed characters.

But I think its a damned shame that this is only a good thing for Survivors, not Killers. Because it would help Survivors a lot, but the biggest argument against it as I see it would be, "What about Killers?"

I mean killer don't share add-ons besides the event add-ons that i forgot when making this post.

I would just mean every Survivor veteran would have access to a F ton of really good addons. For a long while, but it would make the game better for others who has to go through the grind too.

  • If getting 1.5 prestige isnt a reward good enough for you for playing 10 to 15 games, Could you please explain what you would find to be a good enough reward for playing 10 to 15 games for you?

How many hours over three months is fair do you think?

  • Killers and Survivors should definitely share Offerings, a Minimum Improvement to the Offering System. Survivors sharing item/addons would be unbridled luxury that would only affect them and their abundance of items.

  • Spine Chill could use a buff sure, but aura reveal alerts makes the perk do the same as Object of Obsession and Killer Instinct is supposed to be off limits to Survivors.

Exactly. I think people see TCM and think "Why can't bHRV do this?" forgetting they are both very different games. Not to mention TCM was developed with this in mind. It wouldn't be as simple as throwing in another killer to a trail. It would need a lot of changes to make it work for DBD.

next bHVR is gonna do battle royale with 100 survivors and 25 killers.

  • Offerings should be shared. That's a must.

It would solve the problem you face when you are leveling a character that you are not playing, during events this is annoying cause you cant participate in using those offerings on the character you do play. This problem affects Killers more harshly than Survivors, but it could be fixed if offerings were shared.

With sharing items/addons only Survivors would be able to benefit the most from this, however I dont see that much of an issue.

  • It would take soo much time from bHVR to support 2v8 modes, if it should be added, then we need MANY tests before we ask bHVR to commit. Balance would also get thrown up in the air and be bad. But Idd very much like to see a PTB testing such a game mode to see how many PC would be willing to try it.

  • it works fine for other players, it takes some skill to get used to. Try off the record if you need something else.

    Because it's basically worse STBFL

If you want only one, then on most killers STBFL is simply better option. It makes sense only combined and it can't be killer that struggles with MFT/Hope.

Usually good pick would be Doctor, but you are really asking for a bad experience using this perk.

Probably only killer where I would try it as fun build is Wraith.

But I still think it's not worth it. There are situations where M1 killers just need bloodlust, this perk is not valid replacement so it's just not viable for most killers. Either you don't need the perk, or you can't risk removing bloodlust.

is the requirement for viability that you think its worth it? Sure, I agree its worse than STBFL. maybe STBFL is overturned its more reliable than it should be. But I would use it with STBFL, its the only other perk that GIVES bonus a reduction in the attack cooldown.

But I would not be against a buff to the perk, for example I think its poor design that the buff is applied when you hit the Survivor, and then you waste the buff while wiping your weapon, that is horrible design.

  • @Rickprado said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3520556#Comment_3520556

TBH, the problem is, its not a "good" perk stand alone. Its requires STBL to be viable, and if a survivor get into a loop quickly, he/she can be safe almost of the time. I wish it could be realiable alone, specially for killers that don't have means to save stacks against the obsession.

For Bloodlust, i think there still some maps that requires at least level 1 of Bloodlust for completly M1 killers like Pig or Sadako, and this perks seems mostly focused on helping them than the M2 killers. I don't know, but even very good killers i've seen get some level of Bloodlust in chases, specially when playing low tier killers with bad RNG maps.

Yeah, i am really happy that BHVR is giving killers some realliable perks, as most of the last ones weren't good enough to bother using.

I just wish they tweak this perk a little bit, so the lower side of the roster can get some benefits from it.

Its requires STBL to be viable,

    How do you know this?

  • Thanks for the tip, I will now run Knockout.

  • It does not remove much, not all my chases end up with using Bloodlust anyway. I am personally looking forward to using it.

Take a look at this comparison that was posted to reddit, if you use the right perks with it its very powerful.

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game in which four resourceful survivors face off against one ruthless killer. Developed and published by Behaviour Interactive. This subreddit is not owned, operated, or moderated by Behaviour Interactive.

Its not too strong alone but together with other perks you will see true strength and power. This is really good and we should be Thankful to bHVR for allowing Killers to also be eating good after seeing Survivors feast upon Made For This for a month-

  • I bought Singularity and I was severely disappointed in bHVR over it. Ill give you some feedback on these points.

    • Pods are constantly disabled, and It feels like I have no power at all for most of the match.

I would not say Pods are constantly disabled, rather Survivors have a way easier time to remove them during chase increasing the length of each chase, every god damned time. The times I actually see a pod camera that is blocked is tops 2 times a match. But the result of that is the same, it feels I have no power at times OR WORSE, that I have to work overtime every chase to try to keep my power up, but end up with no results.

When you are honestly trying your best but the game spits in your face. That is a moment to stop playing Singularity-

A solution here would be to set a max to the amount of pods that can be destroyed by each EMP or give pods a grace period, where they have to shoot one time or have been teleported to one time before they can be disabled.

    • "His chase potential just feels Awful, I teleport and it feels I lose distance and give them another loop around the pallet"

I agree with this sentiment, however I don't think its about the speed from addons or exhaustion. I think its the slowdown that Singularity gets for 1.5 seconds that frustrates me the most. For all the work I give in keeping the survivors podded, the only bonus is a tp with a slowdown and spirit fury if they use a pallet. not very impressive.

Like if the TP was more like Hag or Nurse, where both characters are almost instantly into the action of the chase, ready to perform a move is way better than the slow impotent tps that the singularity has atm. Its so cruel from bHVR here I am working HARD to keep survivors podd'ed and they cant even give me an action packed teleport? I makes no sense to remove a chance for action with slowing everything down. It just feels awful

    • "Improve the placement detection of Bipods"

yes. they never stick, any chance of creative use of the environment is made impossible by now allowing the pods there.

My conclusion is that the Singularity was designed to be balanced before being designed to be fun to play and I will await bHVR to address the issues in a future patch, like they spent so much time on making a cool Killer. Why not make it worth their time and OUR time? Makes so little sense to me.

  • It feels like to me, bHVR had a meeting about counter play maybe like last year and all Killers since then has had things survivors can do to combat the Killer. Some of these Killers were better, others not so good, One was reworked and another is gonna get the same.

musta been all the Survivors screaming for counterplay for years that finally got to them and now Killers have to put up with bHVR designing a lot more with built in counterplay cause we get to play it, even when its terrible to play, Survivors are SO lucky they dont have to spend money to properly try out and figure out that a Killer is just terrible to play.

  • bHVR has come out multiple times and said camping, tunneling and slugging isn't cheating and therefore not reportable.

    image.png

Why don't you listen to the developers of the game?

  • @TheMidnightRidr said:

In an effort to make her power more threatening, BHVR reworked her condemn stacks to add globally. This simple change, even ignoring the rest of her changes, promotes spamming teleport arguable more so than her original design with the iridescent addon which has led to matches where survivors are nearly helpless unless they are communicating and coordinated.

I won’t deny there is counterplay, but for the general populous, this killer needs yet another overhaul.

What information are you missing during the match that only SWF communication allows, prevents you from taking necessary steps to protect yourself from condemned?

Flashlights are rewarding mistakes by giving people a second chance, and there are defo maps where the killers cant dodge the beam at all, as the pickup animation is locked, and killers cant look away. So if the killer are in the middle of an open field, with no lightborn, they have 0% chance to dodge.

and what do you do if you are in one of those maps and dont have Lightborn then?

  • I dislike that a perk is able to prevent a tool, I much more prefer something like 90% so that it has an effect but there are never an immunity.

Idd much rather prefer the game like that, but this isnt my biggest peeve with Dbd.

  • I disagree its useless, as a Killer I use some perks that causes screams and I also use evidence of crows either flying off or coming back to triangulate Survivor locations. You may do other things that counter act this special kind of stealth you get from it, but useless? from one perk? idd need more evidence to call it useless.

  • What's the Source on the Power being completely changed mid development?

To me Singularity seems like a Killer that uses Cameras to become a Nurse like Killer, the Killer functions like it should, I just think the Killer is way to complicated and they have skimped on QoL features that could make the Killer better to play in order to enforce making a very hard Killer to play.

  • I doubt that. It would make it way stronger, I understand it might be annoying when Survivors cleanse it , but that is part of the gamble. The perk can also entirely end the game too.

  • thats-it-yes-thats-it.gif

And there it IS. I was on point, if perhaps not so well spoken. Hello Rizzo and Goodbye.

You're seriously saying that 6 replies out of 650 posts is okay? They're community managers, yet they seem absent in the community. If they do collect our chatter, brilliant. Would it be so hard to tell us that we've been heard? My examples of what they could say might be considered too much work, but would saying something as simple as "noted" be too hard? I'm not saying reply to everything - as I said a lot of posts here are just butthurt complaints over something trivial and unimportant, and those posts can be ignored. The posts that have actual substance to them should not. I'm not asking for a medal for helping the game, I'm asking for some feedback. The amount of knowledge you can gain from a conversation is infinitely higher than that of just reading a post.

I'll give you a small example of where I feel the devs simply don't look. A very small QoL change has been requested for years now - move the Tome UI in the post-match summary so that you can actually read the post game chat. If moving that UI is a challenge then I'm very concerned about the skills of the developers. Since this game is actually pretty damn good, I'm gonna say they don't lack the skill. What does that leave? They don't care. They don't care that this small easy fix would make a lot of people happier. Either that, or they simply haven't read the posts about this.

As for their different timescale, as I said, if they see a post about an issue they already have plans for, it really wouldn't take much time to just say "Yeah we have a fix planned, this will be resolved in a future update." I timed myself writing that quote, it took me 8 seconds.

That would be many many many 8 seconds and those would rack up over the years, The used to have a "bHVR READ" tag on posts but people who didnt get it would object and say they were not heard. This is that all over again, it would drain so many resources and all for making sure everyone can feel like they have been heard. Its honestly a waste.

Sure everyone would like to hear more from the Developers, but to make them waste resources for this is detrimental.

Even if they gave feedback, people would still feel their ideas dint get feedback and even tho you think some ideas are "trivial and unimportant" others wont, so there would be conflict over who gets the feedback.

The only logical and smart solution is to keep feedback minimal and fair to everyone, so best you see are clarifications or answers to questions. The rest is the Community managers acting like a Shadow in here, but we know they listen cause things in the past have changed and bHVR would doom themselves if they didn't take our feedback into consideration. Sorry but that is the best sense of communication you can look forward to here, because if it was different chaos and conflict would be all over.

I was going to post a long reply but I think @Emeal sums it up better than I could.

I haven't read through every reply like you have so I have no idea of post counts but I do know that I have seen replies from Peanits this most. Replies with good insight too. So to say Mandy is the only one to this month or all the posts are of no substance is just false.

I you want to know what the Community Managers post, you can just check their profiles they are here on the forums and you can see their responses. But you wont find like that holy grail of solution to all the issues like what seems to be hoped for here.

  • The community managers cannot waste time argue back and forth with every random on here, they would be doing that forever. So I don't see why you would expect them to. At best we may get a clarification of the general consensus of the development team at times and we can argue with that, but bHVR does not have time to tell you all their concerns and bring you into their development process. There is no way they can do that for us thoroughly, best we got is chatter here and on social media and Questionarie every like 3months or something.

I don't know how Mandy and other community managers collects our chatter here, but I assume it all goes into a document and is then reported as the chatter of the week or month. Which the developers likely read and have meetings about.

But you also have to keep in mind that developers at bHVR is working at another time scale that we play at, We may play today and get super mad at some BS in the game. But bHVR already has a solution for that and its on the list waiting for its time to be implemented, so they are viewing our comments with the knowledge of our gaming future too.

TLDR; You are making an assumption that responding = reading, but they cant respond to everything.

I imagine Mandy would say the same, How close am I Mandy?

You will never be told that you helped the Devs, only in vague generalities. So puck up Survivor, cause the only way we can help is keep providing nudges, so someone at the meeting will consider those concerns.

You've never had an occasional connection problem in your life ever? How's that in your control?

Its in my control somewhat, cause I used my Votes in a Democracy. I vote for a party that keeps companies in check.

I live in a country were monopolies are not allowed and so if they screw up the connection, I can get a better Service at another company, so they have incentive to keep the connection flawless or lose customers. Therefore connection issues are very rare these days, I can count issues I have had with my connection on my hand over the last 10 years. So occasional it certainly isn't.

But I have my parents and their parents to thank for this and the politicians they voted for, they made good decisions in the past.

That is how you make sure companies provide a stable connection and how you can ensure you can play Dead by Daylight.

Thanks for reading my guide. Make your vote count, make the World better.
