I can only assume that BHVR purposefully buff the survivor side to try and bring down the queue times (forcing more players onto survivor for an easier experience).
With each 2v8 iteration, the mode is gradually getting more and more survivor sided.
Easy fix would be do drastically reduce pallets and gen repair time for lobbies with 2 non mobility killers like Nemesis and Deathslinger or Ghost face, it's less of an issue with mobility killers but even with killers like Wesker we get like 2 kills and 6 escape it's kind of wild, I think for killers like Wesker and Nemesis you could have the infection rate spread between survivors who rescue or heal infected survivors, I know with Nemesis the zombies kind of stand around and do next to nothing at least when I'm Nemesis that's my experience but when I play against him the zombies move at 30x speed and zone me out. The experience is vastly different although I just had a match playing as Dracula with Oni and we killed the whole lobby without a single gen completion but I mean that's honestly the rarest game I've ever had usually it's the complete opposite lol

The funniest thing is, I watched a video interview with a cheater. They hack DBD early in their career because it's too easy...
Also, banning cheater accounts is useless. There are spoofers, hardware ban bypasses, and so on, so even if they ban them 10 times = nothing
They need server-side validation of speed, repairing, gates opening, hits, cooldowns, perks, and so on. The game is built on too much trust on client side. And I'm afraid this will never happen, because they can't afford three more servers for the Middle East, Africa, Russia. And given the problems and lags that arise when launching 2v8 mode - server-side validation will simply kill everything completely
Well, and probably even more global reason than the servers - the game needs to be redesigned so that trust is built on the server, and they will definitely not do this because too much has been done in 10 years, although they seemed to promise an update to the security protocols in the February update (Quality of Life initiative), so there is still time to see whether it was just empty words or not
I find that hard to believe because other companies have be able to rid 95% of their hacker problems when it was rampant and some of them did it with ease.

unfortunately it definitely seems like the cheater problem has gotten worse over the past couple of years or so, but the beginning of this year is probably leading into the peak of this epidemic lol. it's usually subtle cheats with faster movement speed, longer-than-usual flashlight beams, walls, or auto-skill checks, but lately it's been much more bogus with remote actions and purposefully locking survivors into place.

this screenshot is from a game i was playing with friends, this meg purposefully kept trying to sandbag while doing this. normally i DC the second i see someone like this because i can't even stand being in the same lobby as these people, but at this point it feels pointless when it happens so frequently. it makes me not want to play public games anymore because i half expect some foolishness to occur.
the same week i ran into this meg, i think i ran into at least 6 cheaters in the past 4-5 days, including a game where i had the chance to meet a wonderful streamer who unfortunately had all 5 gens pop on them with insta-healing survivors. i DC'd that game the second i saw it.
i really don't know what's going on at BHVR and i hate to be a negative nancy given i was once super passionate about this game, but it feels like they gave up on dead by daylight and are purely focusing on getting as much profit as they can out of it before it keels over. it's not a passion project anymore, clearly, and it's a shame to see it turn into what it is now. i may have repeated myself before, but i can't really see it any other way now.
the fact that i personally helped contribute to a support ticket entry that involved me sharing discord server log evidence (im talking an actual dump of data btw, including attachments, channels, images, etc.) of a community that was selling these cheats, blatantly, and there was no notice of action taken made me lose confidence in BHVR's willingness to address the issue. you cannot convince me that not one person on the team responsible for DBD hasn't heard about this being a problem. the deafening silence is actually unfortunate, and i partially believe it's due to management decisions. BHVR has recently been making moves to focus on publishing and social media marketing rather than game development it seems, so my outlook on DBD's health is quite bleak.
I certainly agree, I've been in multiple games back to back where survivors run at the same speed or slightly faster than me sometimes completely disappearing from view, I get beamed from across the map, I watch survivors running backwards which is what I saw in one of the videos upon my google search as one of their "options"
The first game I loaded into today was Nurse, I blink to the other side of the map and I'm not kidding it was less than 10 seconds and 3 gens has between 25 and 35% progress completion, then I start getting ddosed in the next couple of matches, even in 2v8 there is some super sus killers and survivors running amuck, it's sad because when the game functions properly it's actually a genuinely fun experience for both killer and survivor but this rampant cheating and ddos attacks are ruining the game and I hope the dev team starts taking these issues seriously before it damages the community to a point of no return if it hasn't already.
I couldn't believe this happened to Mr. Riggs on a live stream of the walking dead release, to me that's so absurd and actual proof these issues exist en mass validating everyone who has been complaining about these issues even long before I brought it up. BHVR needs to stop ignoring their core base and enabling cheaters to continue their pursuit of disruption. If they truly cared about their product they'd take action immediately but given they haven't done anything especially after that live stream tells me that you are right, the future is bleak.

Yeah lately Im getting lag switched very often and its every time I super close to get hit on survivor which I find annoying as hell and is consistently happening when Im about to hit them with some attack when they are injured which is sus same as the issue where I got only dced by server when I was winning as killer hard like two years ago when ddosing was on its peak in DBD that even many top content creators spoke about it.
This is pretty much what's happening to me too, if I start out too fast they just DC the game and I get match penalty back to back, today I lost out on 35 minute of gameplay due to ddos, personally I don't mind taking a dc penalty if I actually leave the game on my own accord, but when I'm held hostage by ddosers and hackers it doesn't feel good.

Why do people keep trying to come up with terrible excuses to get rid of the DC penalty?
Bro it's not an excuse it's happening back to back to back and getting locked out for an hour of gameplay to ddossers is dumb? Why the hell should I have to suffer matchmaking locks at the hands of degenerates? I'd rather have people dc on me than ddossers lock me out of hours of gameplay like honestly.
-
One quick youtube/google search and yeah I can see exactly what I'm experiencing in game it's pretty sad it's this blatant and the devs refuse to do anything
-
Honest to god it's like every second match I'm getting lag switched or these people are speeding gens faster than my finish game oh well I guess I'll just join the club then seeing how nobody cares at all like it's absolutely rampant
-
I'm now going up against people, they were 1 person per gen so they were working on 4 gens, I just loaded into the game, blink to the other side of the map, they have 25% done on the first gen, I get them off, blink to the next gen 35% done, get my first hook, look around the map and 4 gens are almost done, we're like a minute into the game, maybe two, only one person had a toolbox and it's extremely sus because without a toolbox, it's getting really annoying to have to play against these type of players because you know for sure something is off but you're forced to stay to avoid dc penalty….
-
So basically what I'm reading here is, absolutely everyone knows there is a massive cheating problem, bhvr knows about it and nothing is being done to combat the cheating?
-
They won't let me just post the video
-
To give them the benefit of the doubt maybe it is just a bug but whatever, I'd rather deal with this than the full on hackers ruining games, either way I'm not looking to be in a bad mood so I uninstalled anyway, it is what it is.

I don't know if this was a bug or just luck, but this may help someone.
I found if you get marked at the exit gates and its blocked, stand next to it facing out, and when he hits you you'll fall right out the gate, just like if you were letting the killer hit you out. It won't be blocked as you're going down. Discovered that by accident last night and got a pretty cheeky escape when he thought he had me.
Too many hackers on here I just uninstalled anyway

I just had a match where this Lara Croft kept instantly vaulting back and forth over the same vault not allowing me to break it while I was in the wraith invisible mode I had to fake coming out of it to get her to run away she did this no joke 13 times before I decided to come out of the mode, there should probably be a cooldown on how fast you can jump back over a vault or at the very least set it to 3 vaults before blocking the vault
-
I was having minimal issues like this before the patch but instantly when the patch dropped it was really bad, it's not too bad now but still more frequent than before.
-
I think they should do two things, revoke the surrender option and also remove the hatch, I've been in too many games where people avoid the last hooked survivor to wait for the hatch or extend a game by sitting on top of a hatch waiting for the killer to show up it's kind of annoying, also remove penalties for leaving if you're just not going to deal with the hacker issues what-so-ever, man in the higher ranks this game is a hot mess, in the early ranks this game is a blast and seriously enjoyable.
-
I just played against him, we got the exit gates powered, I got my second hook and instead of my team mate which was right beside me coming to save me they both just left, one left straight away, the other decided to loop back, I had a clear line of view from one exit gate to the other where I was hooked, I watched him jump from the exit gate that was opened back to my hook to be sure I wasn't getting unhooked then turned around and jump straight to the exit gate all within 10 seconds where the team mate that abandoned me just walked out and let me die, it's really sad to be a survivor right now, but props to the killer at least he didn't tunnel us all, it's quite annoying that when you're running he just stops you mid run and you literally can't loop at all, there's absolutely zero loop with this guy and he does whatever that attack is from like a mile away it's kind of a joke.
-
You know what I think happened, I think they made over powered killers to deal with the hackers at the expense of regular players playing survivor, for example when I play survivor I'm constantly getting destroyed by killers that are way faster than me, the only reason I can see this being a thing is to deal with speed hackers and hopefully make them quit the game, there is no way to play this game as it currently is with base speed killers with the speed hackers because they're constantly outrunning us, even when Legion in Feral Frenzy I'm having survivors run in straight lines from total south wall of the map to total north wall of the map where exit gate is and outrun me the entire way in both base speed and Feral Frenzy mode it's actually absurd how many hackers are on this game especially in the higher tiers (Tier 1, 2 and 3 of iridescent) So to counter that they put ridiculous killers with teleport through walls and infinite wallhacks to counter those hackers at the expense of regular players playing survivor knowing that you can still have a tiny bit of fun as a killer but now things have become worse as these hackers are teleporting and instant completing generators or at least this is what's been happening in my lobbies and I'm honestly just thinking of quitting now.
-
Explain to me how people are running faster than me in base speed but also running faster than me in Feral Frenzy mode in a straight line, can you also explain to me how people are stunning me with a flash light 4 times in a row with no delay or how people are instantly completing generators by themselves but when I do generators it takes me 5+ minutes to finish man this stuff is getting on my nerves
