They should let us customize alot of HUD elements. Duration, effect size, effect color and strength. Hopefully it gets easier later in the games existence. I was hoping one day dbd could be as customizable as Marvel Rivals is

The injure effect plays for both roles AND is more visible. Personally this feels like an accessibility upgrade since its more eye catching
To me it's distracting, especially as a survivor because i instinctively think someone gets injured when in fact they were unhooked, previous effect was eye catching enough, new one is annoying. At the very least they should let us choose which one to have.

Why are people complaining about buffing bottom B killer xdddd
-
Considering the game has been consistently kicking you out of lobbies for over a year now, i don't see the reason not to put players who have been "disconnected from host" into priority queue. If they cannot fix the issue, at least attempt to mitigate it instead of stayling silent and not even bothering to acknowledge it.
-
this is still happening, why add wesker to this game mode if he's unplayable?
-
There's now enough info in this thread to put this report under review btw @JocelynAwakens

I feel like the patch broke the shader compilation in the startup screen. While it still says "Initizalizing Shaders", it only takes about half a second with around ~70% CPU usage across all cores (i7 14700k here), while before it took like 4 to 5 seconds pegging all cores to 100%.
This is possible, shaders loading mid match and freezing your game would explain a lot.

"You can easily adjust it for SWFs by alleviating the DC penalty only for players who are not in the same party as the person who DC'd."
- This is exactly how I would do it, or rather, it is the most rational approach. I think it should also be applied to playing with cheaters in relation to bans, in my opinion.
"I don't see what's the big issue here."
- The issue (not so big) was that you didn't address this beforehand.
a) It would indeed be easy to implement.
b) Not so sure about this. You stated that it’s a DC epidemic, but can the solution to a DC epidemic really be more DCs? At least not for the killer, who often has survivors DCing when they're losing, but never when they're winning.
All in all, what you propose is a good idea, but in my opinion, it’s not implementable with the low DC penalties.
SoloQ would just become a communal DC heaven. Game not going in favor of the survivors (a lot of other reasons too)? Praise the one using their 5-minute penalty joker for the greater good!"Not so sure about this. You stated that it’s a DC epidemic, but can the solution to a DC epidemic really be more DCs? At least not for the killer, who often has survivors DCing when they're losing, but never when they're winning."
I should've called it bandaid fix rather, not a proper solution. The main problem that stems from DCs is that the rest of the players are forced into a match with (almost always) predetermined outcome which is fun for nobody. Those players can avoid this by DCing without a penalty to search for a proper match. If I had an option to waste time in a doomed match vs not doing that, I would choose latter.

There is no real solution man, mostly because they will know the reqiurements to avoid it or will go afk. Or do something worse like sabotage the game instead. Sadly the only solution is to somehow the game to be fixed for both sides so good luck with that. Although honestly if they just add bot killers I will play against bot killers anytime. I preffer them before toxic humans
A temporary bandaid fix is better than doing absolutely nothing in that regard.

This would be great for SWF's. Just rotate who disconnects and get maximum value out of it. :)
While your proposed solution alleviates the bad situation players are in after a disconnect, it is in no way a solution to the problem itself. As mentioned in the first sentence, it will likely encourage SWF survivors to disconnect more often.
A real solution would discourage the person from disconnecting in the first place, such as making them wait for the match to end and then applying a penalty on top. However, this could make it even more appealing for them to suicide on hook or simply go AFK, which also needs to be addressed.
You can easily adjust it for SWFs by alleviating dc penalty only for players who are not in the same party as the person who dc'd. I don't see what's the big issue here. And while obviously dc's should be discouraged in the first place, I offer this solution because it a) easy to implement, b) solves the problem for other players in the match.

The teleport annoys me so much, I always think I missed the arrow and have to press it again, then it starts and cancels instantly leaving me with a part of the cooldown xD
yea you have to hold it down for half of lifespan of the universe
-
The glyphs are fine but memory shards can go honestly
-
@CrypticGirl said:
I'd support it. Would that include people throwing on hook as well?
That would need a separate solution, since there's no way of telling whether the person on hook tried 4% just to go next or was new to the game / was trying to kobe bc everyone else was downed (other than manually looking at the match but bhvr has no replay system for that).

Yes this has been in the game for more than 3 years, every time it gets reported it goes "under review" but nothing comes out of this.

Here are the steps to get your logs:
After the match is complete where you experienced the issue, please close the game.
Next, Press Win+R
- Type in appdata
- Press OK
- In opened window navigate to: \Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
- The DeadByDaylight.log file is the one needed for upload.
- Add the file to your bug report
Please add these instructions to the bug fix template or somewhere clearly visible so one doesn't have to ask around.
After I experienced this bug I exited the game and launched it once more, so I'll add two logs, the one with the longer name is probably from the session where I experienced stutters.

@olion said:
Maybe the 8.5.0 update fixed it.
I've tried booting three times just to be sure, and I'm not experiencing the unusual disk reads that I've been experiencing.it's worse in 8.5.0, stutters every single match
-
even if it's technically not a bug, this should be addressed as gameplay oversight instead of getting brushed off, this is poor game design
-
Also there's no +50% BP for the event queue for some reason.
-
@Oputeeva said:
I mean if bot are correctly coded (especially killer bots) then why not? But they should be more often in event modes/modifiers/2v8 so we won't have wait for too long
That's a big if.

the least they can do is to provide a list of banned countries

I think it's more likely the Support rep who said that wasn't aware of the region locking. He addressed it as though it were a bug but it's more than that.
Refusing the guy to give back the items he paid for or the currency 3 times in a row, then give in and promise to fix his issue only to later respond with "lmao just kidding nothing for you" would look incredibly well for them

Why are these posts getting marked as answered but yet there's still zero response on why we can't buy them. Ukraine here.
Because any comment to a "question" post automatically qualifies as an "answer" on this forum.

He said he doesn't even care about the skin anymore, he just wants his money back
BHVR stated they weren't going to refund him anything, but they are going to "fix" the issue where the dude cannot see the skins in his inventory. So I'm assuming they are going to unlock those items for him even though the licenser who doesn't like eastern europe prohibited sales to their region.

i can think of one very weird reason
performing a refund would kinda be admitting, that they sold Junji Ito cosmetic in "banned" country, that could lead to much more problems for themwell they've already admitted it in the support ticket so
-
When will this be answered? I understand they're trying to downplay as to not gather attention to region locking but scamming people of their auric cells after they've legally purchased the skins is on another level.
-
https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1hxk4ib/the_bhvr_scam_me_out_of_2500_gold_cells/
Apparently after some backlash, this case was brushed off as a "bug" which they're going to fix (in A future release so it could be years from now). I wonder how they're gonna bring the skins to this guy back if they are region locked.

I’ll cut straight to the point: I trusted Dead by Daylight. I trusted the choices the developers made, the effort put into new characters and chapters, the gameplay mechanics, and the vision for the game’s future.
But over time, that trust began to erode. Small cracks appeared - bugs, poor communication, questionable decisions during live streams, chaotic gameplay shifts. A skin would be bugged, or an update would leave things worse off than before. Still, I stayed. I told myself, This game is worth it. It’s fun, and they’ll get it right next time.
I ignored the negativity. I stuck with the game because I genuinely enjoyed playing it. But there were always lingering questions, why weren’t bloodpoint rewards updated to match the grind? Why did so many events feel like rebranded normal gameplay rather than unique celebrations? Only the anniversary events truly stood out as something special.
And then, the Junji Ito collection happened—or didn’t, in my case.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this collaboration for a long time. I followed every teaser, every post, even the email announcing its release. I was excited. 2025 was off to an incredible start…until it wasn’t.
After weeks of excitement, I finally realized something was wrong. The collection wasn’t showing up in my store. I reinstalled the game, verified my files, and did everything I could, assuming the issue was on my end. But it wasn’t.
It turns out the collection is permanently locked for players in certain countries - including Serbia, where I live. This wasn’t a "regional" issue, as some have tried to spin it. It was an intentional, targeted exclusion of specific countries, including mine.
The worst part? No communication. No announcement. No heads-up. Not even a simple “We’re sorry, this content won’t be available in your country.” I didn’t get an apology or acknowledgment - just a random forum post buried amidst other complaints.
I felt excluded, abandoned, and betrayed. Not just because I couldn’t access something I was promised, but because of how the situation was handled - or rather, ignored.
I’ve spent more on this game than the average player. I’ve supported Dead by Daylight through its highs and lows. But this was the final straw. The silence, the lack of transparency, and the broken promise have shattered my trust.
Dead by Daylight, I hope you take better care of your players in the future. For me, though, it’s time to walk away.
Sincerely,
A once-loyal fan.The worst part? No communication. No announcement. No heads-up. Not even a simple “We’re sorry, this content won’t be available in your country.” I didn’t get an apology or acknowledgment - just a random forum post buried amidst other complaints.

The collection is apparently unavailable in some regions, though bhvr still hasn't officially acknowledged it.
-
Why is there no PSA for this and the only answer we have is on a bug report forum post "Not a Bug · The items are unfortunately not available in all regions"?
-
This bug is still in the game.

I believe there's plenty of info already. Nothing was changed about the bug in 8.4.2. Should be under review by now.

If you feel that way about your gameplay, you can run Agitation.
What is it that is unacceptable about normal gameplay that running agitation must be present in every normal gameplay?carrying survivors is the most boring part of the trial currently, hence the suggestion of speeding it up

Killers could turn on vpn during loading/midmatch, so it wouldn't solve much. If only bhvr had more than 3 server locations in the world so we wouldn't have to deal with 500 ping killers from africa.

Worked for me on PC / Steam.
If you can make another challenge - i would try this first - sometimes it helped previously if you maybe select a normal challenge and then reactivate it.
Thanks. Then it's a visual bug.
