I'd say that it's what makes Unknown unique compared to the other ranged killers. That said, I wouldn't necessarily be against a direct hit refreshing the Weakened duration.

Yes, something like this. I am not asking for damage per direct hit but at least reset or refund some portion of the weakend effect to at least give you extra chance to fire again if you hit at least directly something.

  • But he could always do that. He was and always could be on you anytime when you were infected. That's nothing new. its not because of recent changes.

  • Sadako 2.0 was almost perfect, if they would just nerf the condement spam a bit... But no put her back to 1.0 version with few changes.

I was going to make my own thread but will add to this discussion instead.

Please correct me if I am wrong, and I will acknowledge any mistakes I make in the discussion

Freddy can teleport to a generator every 45 seconds, cooldown reduced for every survivor that is asleep. Singularity theoretically can teleport to a survivor working on a generator, assuming the killer can tag them and activate his power.

If Freddy has no perks to know which generator is being worked on, his use of power might be wasted if he cancels it, or even uses it. Singularity can just cycle through all the generators it has Bipods near and always make the correct decisions to go defend the generator or not. With no cooldown, aside from the Bipods being deactivated. Which only lasts for 45 seconds.

Time is the most valuable resource in this game. And so in my opinion, this is what's frustrating when playing against this killer. Survivors rely on another survivor being chased, downed and hooked and then the killer arriving at their generator, to finish their generator in time.

The Singularity, however, can monitor all generators it has a Bipod near, and so after chase, can immediately get back into chase, and to go the generator being worked on. The killer can even check on generators, in the middle of chase if needed. And because part of its power enhances its chase capabilities, those chases potentially aren't very long.

For a survivor to get time and protect their generator, they have to wait for an EMP, disable the Bipod, then only gets 45 seconds to work on the generator before it is active once more. That is a lot of time wasted if you want to avoid being put into chase or being interrupted from working on the generator.

It feels very oppressive to have a killer that can get downs quickly and also has almost perfect information on which generators to attend to, so no time wasted.

Furthermore, all that time you spend disabling a Bipod, the Singularity can just shoot it and replace it instantly if it is close.

I have only two suggestions that I would want to be considered. I am not a game designer and not the best of players, so if it is not viable then I understand. I would like tested for EMP's to destroy Bipods in the radius, not just disable them (since the Singularity just replaces them anyway). This would give more time to do generators and force the Singularity to manually go over and place them, and punish the Singularity for placing them too close together. The Singularity will still know which generator to go to, because its Bipods were destroyed, in the same way it knows Bipods are disabled.

There does not seem to be a cooldown on Overclock mode. Might I suggest a 10 second period between teleports. My time is based on the Dredge, where in the upcoming update, its teleport has a 10 second cooldown during daytime. This would mean that the Singularity would need to be a bit more careful on its teleports during chase.

Freddy is outdated weak killer thats always ends up in D/F tier in majority tierlists.

You think he should be compared as well balanced killer? Come on now... No point reading futher than this example.

  • Tell me you dont understand Trickster without telling me...

Tricksters biggest weakness with his power is that he is slow and easily loopable around high objects.

By making him 4.4 you would have to buff his movement speed while holding knifes a lot otherwise he would be total trash. He is allready not good and you just ask for one of the biggest nerfs on any killer you can ask, their core movement speed.

  • Killer shouldnt be forced into letting the last Survivor escape with good chance.

I think the idle crows in general could be buffed. Like if you dont repair at least 5% of gen in 5 minutes you should be exposed to the killer to prevent hiding whole game for minutes in 2v1.

  • 100 matches is very small number to make any statements or conclusions out of them. Minimum should be like 300+

  • I hate worthless bodyblocks to prevent hooking. By worthless I mean obvious wastes.

When you see the Killer has hook nearby or you think your bodyblock will not help them just don't take it.

Like countless times I saw teammates taking a pointless hit in front of the hook (after you just being picked) and then the killer will (after hooking me) go for them and down them in like 30 seconds.

    You. Are. Not. Helping.

There is always at least 1 treasure chest that rolls a 1 or no?

2 chests in the map have 100% chance to roll 1 (mimic) at start of the game.

  • I like the addon that just forces Survivors at early game to eat mimics to take damage or give you info and waste their time, its hilarious haha.

Freddy: Am I joke to you?!

But Freddy is licensed character and there is probably some problem with the license itself otherwise we would get at least one skin allready. Unknown is free to make skins as many as they want.

  • I am mixed on this. While 2vs8 is indeed very fun and the most fun gamemode we had yet, the que times for killers are bad thanks to it and not just for 2vs8, this also effects a lot 1vs4. You can't pretty much play as killer any mode without waiting a minimum of 5+ minutes of waiting which is bad. You would be lucky to get match in less than 6 minutes atm.

They have to find a way to make the que times better before making this permanent mode. It seems like DbD playerbase isn't big enough to sustain two big large modes without one side suffering from long ques. And long ques can totaly kill your game in long time. Nobody wants to sit 8 minutes in lobby to get 10 min match.

  • Yes, I would honestly wish they revert the nerfs.

Its sad like 80%+ of all feedback on him says he has problems but devs seem to ignore it.

  • I mean if they are running all these perks and all are active you would be hard time catching up to them with any killer.

  • I am sorry to be the party breaker, while is this true devs did many great changes to killers I am now not going to mention (good job), this list is kinda mix bag. They did many good updates to killers but also many bad ones.

    List goes:

    • Onryo (she is still too weak and her previous version I prefer more)
    • Pig (she still relly on add-ons on her dash, but the base kit buffs were nice but small)
    • Twins (their big rework was just small QoL update in the end, huge waste of everyones time for waiting a big rework)
    • Chucky (scamper should be nerfed and not removed and dashing scamper should be buffed its useless joke and window scamper was shadow nerfed)
    • Knight (got nerfed to please Survivors while he got small something for huge chase nerfs).

I think it's so hilarious that people overinflated Billy's strength to the point they are actually stupid enough to place him above blight. Yeah he's strong but he's still nowhere even close to popping into s tier. That will be nurse and blight. I do feel kinda sorry for the people who wish Billy could ever stand with them. Living the dream instead of reality.

Hillbilly is for sure one of the best killers. Even if not S tier he should be top 5. They arent nerfing him soon for no reason.

  • @Royval said:

Blight is not the 3rd best killer in the game anymore. I also think Unknown is one of the best killers in the game.

the top best place is for sure open to opinion, its possible Blight isn't in top 3 anymore.

Unknown has issue imo and he is hard as well. I think at best if you play him very well and almost never misses and you know boucing off most objects on loops in the game you can put him into A (strong) tier but that's for like only his dedicated mains, on avarage he is more like B (above avarage) imo.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

i think dredge is A-tier after his buffs. Dracula in ptb feels like D-tier killer.

Dredge is no way near A tier imo. His chase power is still pretty much same just bit better and all he does is teleport around and still depends on map lockers.

Dracula feels like Vecna but bit better in chase. They both are "I have everything in my arsenal but I excell in none of these" cathegory.

  • The Huntress

    • Free character
    • You aim, you shot, you kill/injure on sight

    The Unknown

    • Have to be unlocked/payed
    • Has bouncing projectilve that you have to think of
    • Has small AoE projectile that can hit though walls
    • Has to hit you twice with your power within few seconds otherwise the first shot is reseted back to 0.
    • Direct hits does nothing (hindred effect has no impact)
    • You have to use more brain power to use shots
    • Can be more easily avoided than direct faster hatches
    • Can sometimes teleport somewhere I quess

They both do pretty much the same job.

What do people expect, considering that Unknown has a 7 second cooldown on UVX, it only takes 10 seconds for survivors to remove weakened, and if Unknown want to break line of sight, it has to be longer than 1.25 seconds because of the reveal buffer?

The time window between one UVX hit to the next UVX hit, isn’t large enough to be fun for the killer. It ends up being really frustrating for the killer most of the time, because even if the killer does manage to get 2 hits in a row, the extreme time restriction makes it feel more stressful than fun.

I have to agree. He feels hard to play, the window of opportunity (no perk reference intendet hah) is pretty low and you are far better of playing Huntress that does what Unknown's main power but like 2x times more effectively. I would trade wall/small AoE shots for insta damage on direct hit anytime.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

killers are about power, survivors are just skin. so they gotta make them popular

"All Things Sable" DLC I would rename it.

  • I mean does it metter if you buy these items but you can't have any more of them so you waste BP or you waste BP on something that isn't there?

    Pretty much same outcome.

Also the gap is getting increased to 20K. (Also who the hell is gona need 10K+ of any add-on stored in inventory but whatever…)

  • Only thing that FNAF will ruin are these forums… I am tired boss.

  • While 2v8 is awesome and I played it a lot, I was kinda hoping to get normal que times in 1v4 but I quess thats not gona happen.

  • Full? I see maybe like 1 in 20 games when its BP event or something.

Farming is a grey zone. Its not something supported from players to do and devs are not a fan but it isnt bannable (unless you combine it with like game hostage, forcing others, etc.)

  • Thats a very odd problem to have and I am sure I will never have this problem in this game, 10K is crazy.

But hey its cool like 0.005% of players will be able to hoard like 20K of (mostly useless) things they wont use.

  • Its only buff if you run base kit.

Its nerf in total power, that addon was top popular for a reason.

  • You can't talk about political stuff on forums and this is directly connected to politics.

  • It doesn't metter how many abilities killers has, but how powerfull each is.

Lich has 4 powers but, The Hand is only real chase power, Skeletons are easy to avoid and act as tiny slowdown mid-chase or zone tool (usualy not), Then he has some map mobility (worse than usual killers with map teleports) and then he has just ability to disable powers againts himself.

So technicaly speaking, he has like 3 powers and two of them are meaningfull. Balanced.

  • I am very sure BHVR rly took their time to check if they even want to license. They do try to not offend any communities. Remember when Unknown was being teased? Some people were worried it would borrow from Native Americans culture and BHVR directly responded that this isn't the case for sure. They allready many times said they have their team and experts or hire people to help them with this to not offend anyone.

You think PR team don't consider persons they want to colaborate with? They ofc do and that means Scott isn't anti-LGBTQ+. If he rly was I am sure they would just not take the license because it would be just fire pit and againts their own words and policy.

  • Wow they did for real reveal it whole year ahead that's kinda crazy xD

I am glad I know ahead but like… 11-12 months from now on like… that's pretty far away to announce something this big.

  • Even if you ignore the tunneling/hindred nerfs its still a nerf. It doesn't metter if you tunneled before or not, it is objectively a nerf and he is weaker then he used to be.

I personaly miss the grap when you downed someone next to pallet vault or window. That felt good when you grabbed them with your power but they removed it like a year ago.

  • @Rudjohns said:

How many people post in Nightlight periodically? I'm gonna guess 1k if I'm being very generous

Yeah, not exactly the most trustworthy statistic

Per mounth there is thousands of matches recorded which for sure is tiny % compare to whole playerbase.

However what it does is to see trends. If something isnt / is popular that means its probably like this in greater picture.

  • I quess people don't like Kpop killer with lot of blades :(

  • Oh, thanks for reminder that's true. Maybe that's why he dropped to top 3 bottom but still he is consistently bottom pickrate :(

  • @Rudjohns said:

Skull Merchant needs the hinder and haste to be completely removed

    Step sounds a bit louder

A way to remove scan tracks

And she would still be the most boring killer to verse

    She needs a completely rework

You do that and she is Legion but like 2x times worse. I agree that she would need to do something else (rework).

  • These "crazy" numbers will sure make it soon S tier meta perk /s.

  • Underused and below avarage killer gets some solid base kit buffs

"Is this Killer now S tier OP?"

    Hell no.

  • I think 2v8 works great as returning event mode once a few months (3 times per year maybe?). As permenent mode it rly does hurt regular que times and both modes suffer from it.

  • Yea I am not fan of "Hey how about you buy this?" when just starting up the game in your face first thing you will see.

  • Playing killer is pretty fun but the que times (10+ min for a game) kills this for me.

  • Punch punch punch punch punch punch heavy steps heavy steps heavy steps heavy steps

  • I said before and I will said it again. That nerfs to meta perks and decent buffs to before bad perks wont cut it.

Killers will Always run slowdown and the same key perks even if you nerf them again because they either need them or feel like they need them.

  • Knight WAS the only unique killer who could do 2vs1. He was the only one who could summon backup to help him which was unique about him.

Now that only uniqueness was taken from him and he is overall nerfed and worse to play. F tier rework for sure. This happends when devs put as priority "lets adress survivors issue" and put on second line the player who is playing the killer and uniqueness of the power itself.

  • Because chucky got giga nerded few patches ago.

1 2 3 4 5 … 87
