This happens to me a lot. It's almost like if the killer is too close to the pallet, it doesn't let me do it. It's annoying and gets me downed a ton. Now, I rapid hit space to throw pallets because I'm afraid it's gonna happen again. It doesn't help lol.

Good to know I'm not the only one lol

My partner actually complained about this recently (and I just thought it was misjudgment…)

what platform are you playing on? Mouse and Keyboard or controller? Did you rebind any buttons?

Hi I play on PS4 controller I haven't customized the controls or anything. Is your partner on console or PC?

  • Ok this is what is happening to me. Only when I’m injured . If the killer is by the pallet or trying to strike through to hit me, I can’t throw the pallet because I don’t get a prompt. Every. Time. PS4

  • Thanks, I didn't realize I was in polls!

They shouldnt have to have a DC penalty, but with how incredibly frustrating the game is to play I get why. Maybe some of that frustration should be alleviated? All of my frustration is with bugs that get me downed as survivor or swings that seemingly pass through survivors on killer. That's not even counting camping or tunneling which should have mechanics added to make it impossible. It would just be much healthier for both sides.

I think perks like Borrowed Time should be automatic to prevent tunneling, and there shouldbe penalties, or even losing points, for how close a killer stays near the hook after hooking someone. Just like survivors need to a balanced game or they de-pip, so do killers.

Just as I see a new wave of users trying to motivate survivors to play stealthy, the game doesn't at all.

Even though I'm not a P3 Claudette main, I still enjoy playing in a stealthy way using perks as Calm Spirit, Iron Will, Fixated and Lightweight. When I was in lower ranks, I even managed to survive some games without even getting chased once. Problem? Playing stealthy implies you need to move unnoticed (unless you're going against Nurse). Many times moving to the corners of the map is useful while the killer looks for you near the generator. If you evade the killer once, or maybe twice, they will start to look much more closer. Although you do waste their time, you actually barely get any points if you're not being chased.

For example, a few days ago I was attempting Adept Zarina. The Bubba I went against wasn't really a pro gamer, and he fell for my Red Herring tricks every time, and I managed to only get chased once. What followed me getting the achievement was a depip, because the game can't know if I actually do anything to the killer. Same thing happened to me a couple times back when I was an Urban Evasion gamer.

In conclusion; the game doesn't actually reward stealth, at least less far than a succesful chase. Not to also count the mANY salty killers that just outright call people with this types of playstyles scaredycats. Stealth is viable, but it won't be anyone's main strategy without the support of many people.

I like to play stealth, but was discouraged with the lack of points. Staying in the killers radius for boldness and evasion points, working on gens, rescuing and healing people can help you get points and avoid depipping.

  • I've been wondering the same thing. Because of the grunts and sounds from the survivors they sound in pain, so my theory is this: they require a small blood sacrifice to be "cleansed".

totems have sharp bone parts that are hard to work around, causing pricked fingers and scratches.

Mikey can moonwalk. That's all we need.

    That's awesome!

I'd sometimes give so much for a 'are you f kidding me' gesture whenever someone hops into a locker in front of me despite me either being out of range for head on OR knowing they don't have it. Or when someone sneaks right into me and doesn't seems to notice (I did had this happen with deathslinger of all killers... like... Yes, hello, must be your first time against him, he's not a tree...)

I was thinking of a shrug or something like that! Maybe palm to face? Lol

  • Thank you! I just needed to vent and was worried I'd get some nasty reply back. I play killer too, so I can know what mistakes not to make as a survivor. And killers get the blame for survivor antics too often.

I've gotten stuck in this spot as both killer and survivor. As killer I was able to wiggle out, but as survivor I couldn't (and I couldn't flag down the killer to get me out of it, so I eventually DCed). It's just to the right of the ramp up a hill. This one was on Father Campbell's but I can't remember what map the other one was. You'll see that I'm sunken into the ground, almost up to my knees.

This has happened to me several times in the past week. Autohaven, macmillan, redwood forest. Its a rock Hill usually with a chest but no hook and its the base of the hill on the right side if you were looking at the hill and the path you can use to climb it. Killer has to hit me twice and carry me to get unstuck.

its really not that common lol

I prefer solo to swf, every day. I'm big on unpredictability in games and you never know what you get when playing solo.

The game often feels more tense in general when soloing but the absolute BEST is when the team comes together and meshes well together.

I always play solo by default, as I don't have anyone I know who plays DBD. Solo is challenging and I have found amazing teamates! The fact everything can come together without any planning is really enjoyable. I don't have post game chat, but have sent comps and requested friends after if there was an especially great game.

I think that the mummy sounds like it could have a potentially wicked looking MORI xD

Cosmetics could also be interesting o.o

not sure what basic weapon or special ability would look like though...

The mummy would be awesome! Maybe sandstorm, survivor blindness to killer, or something... Yeah kinda hard to figure this one out.

I want creature from the black lagoon, but that isn't here. Dracula or nosferatu are cool though.

You know, I almost put that as an option, but I've never seen it. I'll add it if I can edit my poll :)

  • Wait, really? And that's the disconnected plug symbol by their name? They just give up?
