Once I started ignoring killers BM me on hook and over my slugged body the game got a lot more fun. I often times just watch TV or I play with my dog Prishe 😁 I certainly do not give them attention either, they feed off it.
Just have to understand that they are most likely struggling with mental health, and it has nothing to do with you. Often times it's their way of coping with it.

I think they should also balance survivor audio. I play Sheva because most of the other survivors injured sounds give me a migraine and then I've got to turn off the game.
When I'm injured with her I don't even realize it heh.

I know lots of people who start playing and ask me where they can get half the outfits I have, ready to buy them right then and there.
I tell them that they're not in the store and come around during certain holidays, and others are rift exclusives. Well, they would have spent their money, but they end up stop playing (not over the cosmetics, over bordem) and never spent their money, whereas they would have.

Same, with these map changes and how close generators are, I find it very difficult to survive to get more than 10K BP in solo q.
Kite the killer for most of the match? No BP. Manage to do maybe one generator, someone quits on hook and it's 3vs1? No BP. Ugh

Just because something is popular and balanced doesn't mean it needs to be changed.
Instead, buff other things to make everything useful and fun.

Usually I end up in lobbies with me and another person p100 and often wait 10 minutes (not exaggerating) while killers lobby shop.
If it's optional some might suspect you are hiding it, however, does it show at the end of the match?
When people see I've 4 p100s they beg me to carry them and each match expect me to perform like a looping god.
If I don't take aggro I get attacked in end game chat. I hid the chat now so it's whatever, but still pretty ridiculous.

Yeah I've had really weird lag spikes where my game freezes up for a second or so, and PC is very powerful.
Also the game didn't used to send my graphics card into over drive mode, since the update it sounds like it's going to space lol. I don't know what happened, but it only happens with this game.

When I had to play her for a challenge I was cleansing a totem. I said to my friend "are you near me?" he says no.
I'm like well I hear this guy making weird sounds..then he said oh, that's just Jane... D:

It's true, I'll have an amazing game here or there, but lately soloq is just a death fest. I also get almost no BP.
There is little to no balance.
Often times if I feel like it, I'll loop the killer for all the gens, but I get sick of it because I get almost no points, everyone else does the easy stuff, gets more points and leaves me to die. Meh.

I read in muitiple places that if there any more the game breaks.
The zombies are more annoying than the Nemesis, who runs at me like I kicked his pet. :(

I can't play killer because first person makes me vomit. I'd love to have a truly frightening killer though.
The only ones that are scary to me are because of jump scares. Not actual fear.
I want to feel afraid, not always be laughing. The way the alien thing runs looks like a cheetah or something lol it's so goofy. Most of them make me laugh, especially Wraith when he gets stunned.
Give me something to be scared of!

Sadly that's the way it is, but I've seen some killers not camp and 4K all of us at the end :) it's just circumstansual.
Even when they do camp, in soloq I've had lots of rescues done with full escapes.

Instead of nerfs, ask for buffs. I am not a fan of perk bloat, and that's most certainly how it feels right now.

So many people are running calm spirit now to counter it.
When I was the last person alive the killer tried to read my aura, distortion went off and I went blind. Calm spirit saved me, found the hatch and left.
They thought...lol.

My friend is leveling him to p100 and gets 4K regularly.
He is probably the only one I see. His skill ceiling is quite high.

This happens to me all the time in game and I do not like it. If it's designed that way, that's crazy.
I have a gene mutation irl that can paralyze my muscles (Like what Celine Dion has) and I can assure you if I am "stunned" I could not hurt someone :P So to me it just seems ridiculous. Either they are stunned and can't do anything or they are not stunned at all. Should be fixed.
I know my comparison might by hyperbole but it's true lol.

I had a Claudette using self care today with bite the bullet, she kept doing it and instead of unhooking me (killer wasn't anywhere near me and was chasing someone) she let me get to second stage hook.
The killer noticed this and slaughtered them. I couldn't possibly think of their reasoning for using it. Maybe they are not aware of the time they are wasting and running bond instead to find someone to heal you would be faster.

I don't bother. As a clinical psychologist I am not getting paid to fix people's behavior, so why should I? I don't mind helping someone but this is just too much imho.
You can't perform psychoanalysis over a computer, and calling them out probably won't make them realize their mistakes. They'll most likely resort to defense mechanisms, and attempt to justify their actions.
I find it best to tune everything out and focus on my enjoyment. It's worked wonders for years and I've dealt with haters online, and irl.
I do wish it were possible, to help them, but they have to want to help themselves and it's a long process.

Well, the generators wouldn't be rushed if they didn't change healing. Now that survivors are no longer afraid to do a generator while injured, they will be done faster. Survivors used to either run to where CoH was to spend time healing, or use a med kit to go somewhere safe and heal. Now, there is none of that, so they simply hop on a generator and do it while injured.
If a killer cannot apply pressure on generators, know when to drop chase, etc, then of course generators are going to be going off faster.
Main point is, survivors are no longer afraid to touch a gen while injured, they used to refuse to do them unless healed.

I said in another thread I think, that TCM has a simple feature that let's people see who is in a group together. This could help people be aware of it.
You won't know if their on voice chat, but you can at least see them grouped up.

I don't know if it's hacking or the game being...the game, but I've had huntresses axe defy the laws of physics and hit me by going around and through walls, same with tricksters knives.
Wish I knew their secret. I tried throwing some darts the other day and they didn't go through walls or turn themselves and go sideways like a homing missile :(

Balancing the game around the weakest killers and the sweatiest survivor teams is not a good idea.
The game needs to be balanced against its biggest player base, which is casual people. Without them, there wouldn't be much of a game.

For me its the opposite. I stun the killer and still magically get hit and die. I'd love to know how it's possible to be stunned and get hit at the same time.
This game has dedicated servers no? Is their infrastructure not optimized? The server should be decided on hits/stuns, nothing else.
I've just accepted it's very poorly done and if I die because the infrastructure of this games server, then great. Something needs to be fixed.

TCM has a feature that shows when people are in group/voice chat. I always dodge them as they're often toxic and extremely sweaty. I'm not looking to get frustrated playing a game.
Just something to consider, I guess.

I see this perk every match. We'll make it used to help a lot, and you can even raise slugged people up really fast with it.
However, yeah it's a bit ridiculous, it doesn't require any skill to use and it's fairly powerful. Instead of nerfing it I rather see healing buffed. Medkits are basically all brown medkits now, that's just silly. Makes no real difference, healing others with them is okay, but what about ourselves? Ugh.
If they don't want to do that, then introduce something else. Idk, I'm not a creative dev. :) What do I know?

When I play survivor, it absolutely SUCKS being slugged because the killer wants to go find the other survivor and deny them hatch. I don’t know anybody who plays a survivor match and says “oh man I REALLY hope the killer slugs for the 4k… that would be so much fun!”
If everybody hates it, why shouldn’t we discriminate against it and try to get it changed? Slugging for the 4k is unhealthy and you won’t change my mind.
Agree 100%. I always respect killers that don't do that slug stuff for their 4k. It's like just end it already!

I had a bot today drop and pick up it's med pack 10+ times while I solo did a generator lol. Super smrt!

Yep, casuals make up the majority for nearly every game, and when they cater to these 1% hardcore people who eat, sleep and breathe the game, the rest will move on.
Idk how true that is for this game, I stay far, far away from all that hardcore junk (the videos, weird streaming stuff, etc) . I play casually and don't care anymore.

Somehow I made iri1 from rank 0 in a few days while I've been sick with covid. Oddly enough I wasn't even trying, am pretty sick and playing bad. When I saw it was red and rank 1 I was like what?? Okay then.
I guess from now on, until they fix it I'll just ignore it...like you guys said, it serves no purpose really, and it ruins the fun.

So much this. In TCM there is an in game chat, it's nice, I wouldn't mind this in game. Also you can VC, which I dare not do. Last time I did I got hit on by a bunch of people and it was creepy, but just saying, it's an option...

Hopefully they're taking this criticism to heart, the game has a lot of issues and people are making valid points. I'd add to it but mostly everything people mentioned in this thread I've witnessed as well.

I would say instead of waiting for something to be done, perhaps you could take pointers from killers who have over come this issue?
That is really your only current option, I'm afraid.

As a female I can say I always play females, especially ones that resemble me, so I feel immersed in the game. I usually stick to Claire, and Maria.
In MMO I make the character look like me as well. Anything else and I feel like I'm not being me.
If you want the psychological reason, it would differ person to person, I'd say. Very broad answer with a lot of theories depending on the individual.

I don't pay toxic people any mind. I am mostly relaxed and whatever people do is their problem.
I find they crave attention, they never get it from me or any rise out of me whatsoever. I'm pretty happy with myslef and my life ,and they seem so miserable they probably need a hug.

Claire Redfield. People tell me I look like her (I...guess?)..so I cosplayed all her outfits (which I wish were in game...)
She's my favorite because her personality, outfit and pony tail. Also I find her to be the prettiest survivor. Was told before I started playing she used to look different hehe.

What makes you say that? Me vaulting, running away then getting sucked back over has something to do with skill and not poor coding/people's bad ping? My ping is a steady 20-40ms fwiw. I play plenty of other games, FFXIV, FFXI, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Resident Evil Resistance (of all games, it doesn't even have problems here haha), MHW, GTA, RDR2, no issues like this whatsoever in those games. I tested my button and it works.
When I stun the killer, run, and then suddenly I am dead does it also somehow have something to do with skills? I am really confused.
I have over 3 P100 characters, I know how the game works lol. This has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with latency issues. It's not like FFXIV, where they have dedicated servers to connect to per region and this game allows VPN, which, causes these problems...if you use a VPN there, in FFXIV and most other games I play,you get banned, because you can have advantages. This clearly is not the case with this game. So I want to know if this will be fixed, or allowed, so I can just uninstall it and move on.
So, perhaps it is you who has the "skill issue" understanding what is really going on over here.
Please offer something more useful then some flame comment. Thank you.

Has there been any update on this? I haven't been able to keep up with stuff, and of course I missed my chance again to ask if they'd be willing to ask Capcom for more costumes for our Legendary characters :(

I wish! I had to stop playing (for many reasons) but one was the screaming giving me migraines where I throw up, and that's no fun. I wish they'd stop the screaming
