No. I stopped playing as much to be honest. I use to log in to play a few games once in a while throughout the week, but since the killer update and the dirty playstyle of camping at 4 and tunneling at 4 gens became a norm that I just stopped playing for a while. It really isn't fun, and I am sure it is the same for the other side if ur against a full swf. I played majority solo at one point and switched to a partial and full swf and we popped all gens within that 6-8 minute mark (toolbox and BNP). It was not fun after my group did it for a while, so we stopped playing and moved onto other games. I do get on to try out solo or play with a friend once in a while, but it still is sweaty like usual. I liked the casual playstyle before the killer update. Just get on, and do a few games then log off without being stressed ( good old days ).

The most in a day was 8 straight down the line when it was Solo Q a while ago. I switched to swf after Solo Q became unbearable, but I still do Solo Q once in a while.

I have my share of random dc's in the game. I don't think there should be that severe of a penalty. People should not be forced to stay in a match they don't want to be in, and people do get the hiccups in the game once in a while. I have had my internet hiccup once or twice during a match and it dc's me. It is unavoidable.

I just wanted to know some of your guys opinions, from both killer and survivors.
im a survivor main - who was sort of losing interest in the game about a month before the PTB. Obviously love dead hard, but I primarily used balanced landing for years. I do miss the old dead hard, but it’s nice to change it up (trying not to use balanced landing either since I did use that for a longggg time).
I find it harder to play as survivor in general. Everyone says it’s the DH nerf - but I feel like it’s just much more than that. It feels like no matter what I do the killer is always on my ass. (Ex: the buff to breaking pallets, vaulting, basekit unrelenting) Idk, just seems like I legit am either on the hook immediately or it takes like two whole years to complete a gen with all the regression perks (which can be pretty boring honestly.)
as for killer though - I genuinely feel like it’s easier to play. I probably don’t have a high MMR as killer because I definitely consider myself a baby killer, but even going against baby survivors before the patch was hard for me. Now I feel like I can easily get a 4k and actually catch up to the survivors instead of getting stuck in an infinite loop for 3 gens lol.
id love to know what everyone is running perk-wise as survivor and as killer, as well as how your play-style has changed and whether you all like the update or not.
Overall, it's rough. I only play survivor, due to my motion sickness in first person so can't touch killer. I find it much more difficult to get out, and I have been keeping track of all my matches on an excel sheet to see what the % of my escapes have been. It's roughly 25%, compared to the 50%ish I get as Solo Q before. Have to pray you have good teammates.

What is wrong with my gameplay then? Since you seem to know better than me.
It varies. I think they refer to themselves as either hiding in the back corner or doing a gen in some random corner in the back if they don't get hooked/camped is my assumption. I have had plenty of problems of killers camping and tunneling the past few days. It fluctuates by the time of day though. I get more during the day then at night. It is weird how that works.
I have it bad when I loop the killer for a good duration of the match and pallet them enough that they ****ing hate me I guess. They just chase me, tunnel/camp me out of the match. i mean nobody else bothers to get chased since they go down instantly or hide in a locker/corner. I have had very few team mates that can loop for a good duration before going down. It makes it difficult to do gens, which factors to also why survivors struggle. You got to pray you have a decent looper or two in your group to get a decent headway in a match.

First of all, thank you devs for buffing SoloQ.
BT basekit is a great change for the game. And it help a looooot against tunneling killers in soloQ.
Off the record rework is amazing, I was always worried in soloQ "Does he have BT ??" "Will he takes a protection hit for me ???" Now I just use OTR and however my team mates are playing in soloQ I cant be tunneled. If the killer go for me and try to tunnel, good luck for catching me and killer will lost 3 gens in a chase lol
Nerfing gen regression perks help a looooot too in soloQ. Ruin/Undying is over and it should make every soloQ player happy.
Tunneling is over, gen regression is over, there is still one thing : camping.
Dead by Daylight has never been this healthy.
Thank you very much devs.
I mean if you are getting out the 13th time, then I can only assume you sacked the rest of your teammates to do so lol. In my games yesterday it has been 30/70 for me getting out. Majority has been rough overall with people dying on first hook, to those that sandbag people that are on death hook, when they have no been hooked once all match. Even end game when there is no noed in play, and no basement in play they let the person on death hook get chased down and die.
Camping/Proxy camp was still atrocious. Tunneling was atrocious. Literally stand there to save my teammates due to tunneling, but man do these killers not want to chase/hit me. My teammates were also no better when getting priorities done. Unless you playing with swf, I can barely see that happening.

Situational.
Knowing when a team escape is a lost cause and switching to selfish mode is key for sure.
Playing selfishly from the outset is never a good play, because getting out with your team dead is a gamble at best, but pushing objectives and going for save when there's still 2+ gens left, half your team is dead and you're on death hook isn't helping anyone, including yourself.
My MMR isn't what it could be because I am always going back in for people and giving myself up (even in solo), but those aren't lost cause situations. If the gens aren't getting done, look out for yourself.
I get the situational part down, but when the game has just started and they are already hiding in lockers when there is no evidence of us losing is what also is a factor. It means me and two people have to do 5 gens and also bounce killer aggro while they **** around in the back. It is so blatantly obvious when kindred goes off from one of my teammates or when I get hooked that there is that same person sitting in the same corner, crouching around and hiding. If its a loss, then please do hide and immerse yourself, but if the game is still going at least contribute by working on gens -___-..
There are sooo many games where I could have escaped with some of my teammates if that one person hiding had contributed. Like we had one gen left to do in one case and 3 of us were still up. I still see that person there in the back squatting. So it was just me and this rando literally have one us chased and the other on a gen. If they worked on that gen we could have finished it and maybe two of us got out. I don't mind dying in this instance for my teammates. No.. they squat the whole time till we both are on hook.Oh boy!! Then the killer has the audacity to give them hatch after we die.

Yes, sole survivor +wake up, when 2 people are left you go hide next to a door
It was two people still alive with me ( 3 total including me) in that particular match. I literally looped that killer through that map twice around so they could open one of the doors. If your not going to take the hit, then at least open the door is what I am more annoyed about. I could have gotten out toooooo -____-...They waited till I got slapped to the ground to get out of their lockers, both of them.. to open that door and leave as I die. I do not have a problem if it is just me and one person and I die for them, but another matter when there are two or more up and I am getting chased to at least have the audacity to open the door so I have somewhat of a fighting chance to leave.

I'm speaking about "Strength in numbers" challenge, where you have to have at least one survivor escape while you still in match.
Trivia (can skip to the next part)
Another SoloQ example. I'm 1.2K hours (so no comments like "you just have to play more"). I almost never used DH before, so nothing new for me perkwise, using same familliar loadout.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2P8VZPLY5EIC/image.png
Only once I escaped through hatch as last survivor.
Only 3 games were not 4K.
I have starting to get lots of gold and iri "Evader" emblems and be in chases longer than 2 minutes (exept nurse, ofc), which means killers I'm matched with are completely unskilled. Yet almost everytime is 4K
Tunneling is off the charts!
Finally got that book challenge because was matched with 3 SWF bully squad and killer was fresh.
What i wanted to say
SoloQ is literally unplayable, unless you're some pro tournament streamer. Devs should get up the nerve and make a statement: survivor gameplay is supposed for friend play. SoloQ is not meant to be and it's at your own risk. No problem with that, many quesions will be ceased immediately.
System requirements: internet connection, PC/Xbox/PS, 3 friends
Let me give an example: Hunt Showdown. You play 3 vs 3, or 2 vs 2. You can go solo agains duos and gain "underdog" bonus, or agains trios and get super "underdog" bonus. So solo is officially left for streamers, tryhards and challengers. Everyone fine with that. Why just simply acknowledge the same thing in DbD?
That awkward "you kinda can play Solo, but kinda can't" is really disorienting.
Another thing that stumbles me
Why many perks switches off at the EGC? It's like "You lose, but you can play well and go to the end, and then lose anyway". Why? Why killer is obliged to have win? There's some quota?
The first day of the patch was pretty bad, where I didn't get out once. It is still so-so in regards at the moment with my escapes.
Currently, there is a huge gap with if I survive or not that falls onto my teammates and their contribution in the match for me to get out. Before, we could gen rush even with a person still ****ing around in the back, but now we can't.
The only issue I am really having so far has been against Legion and Plaque. I had pretty rough game last night against a Legion with all the shtty perks on. I think it was also the closest game after like 20+ minutes. It was only me and one person left in the match and we managed to get the final gen done by passing off aggro to one another to only die at the gate. The group did well overall. Got gens done, loop the killer, take hits, take aggro and we all still died at the end with 5 gens done. The killer probably hated my guts though, since they kept slapping me on hook while they left the other person on the ground. I guess all those pallets to the face while they chased me ticked them off enough. I mean what should I do, just die when you chase me?
I really don't know what else we could have done tbh.
I really have yet to win against a legion -____-.

Why 4 straight games I face legion/nurse/nemesis with the new slowdown meta build who tunnels on 5 gens? is it because they know ds is such a joke so they don't care?
Thank you devs, I'm done with survivor, 4 straight games of instant replay, either me or other team member just getting tunneled off hook with thana and euruption and all that stuff. im out, maybe ill come to play killer from time to time but I ain't gonna play this tragedy called "Solo queue"/
I had one (legion) last night with all the disgusting perks and man it was rough. It was only me and one person left by the end and we got the last gen done, but both died at the gate lol. That game was soooo long that we just both just wanted out.
I don't think I have gotten out once against a legion.... that was the closest and the group was decent overall on performance. Got gens done, and looped the killer and rotated/took hits but still we all died in the end. Man.. idk what else we could have done.

If Suiciding on Hook and DCing is increasing, this is a symptom of poor game health. In fact, this is probably the biggest red flag there is for a game.
The D/C's vary tbh. I have had my random d/c's when my router decides to have a seizure, so it happens sometimes during a game. If a person gets downed and d/c's than i can say they did it on purpose or at the start of a game then yeah it's on purpose. If it's during a game at times, I can't really judge.. Spectrum is Spectrum -___- my internet goes wack at times during a game and I can't do anything about it lol.
The problem I have is survivors going on a suicide mission or just throwing themselves at the killers when a person gets downed. I am sitting here on a gen and then the next thing I see is all 3 of my teammates are on the ground lol. I have seen this a few times, and I am still confused why people do that lol...

Me and my friend have been escaping almost every game, unless we are against a Nurse or blight. We personally love the fact that the game is harder on the survivor side now :) but that is just us.
If that is the case then you are the very few that do. In most of my Solo Q matches, I am left to die by everyone literally. Nobody wants to get chased, and nobody wants to take a ****ing hit. Literally.. I wish BHVR would change how the MMR works. I am sick of dying and taking Killer aggroo a majority of the ****ing time and the one to die as everyone finishes gens and gets out. I remember a group of 3 swf's literally just let me die on hook as they escaped (mind you was my 1st hook too as they finished the last gen (edited)). Does it feel bad, yeah it does. Now its worse with this update. Now we got squatters in the back corner, doing nothing all match then they leave through hatch or get out through a gate. How does that help with my MMR??? Me and the 2 that did gens all match and took aggro all match end up dying and that one person that sat in the back corner that didn't do squat gets out with no hooks and hits. Man does it suck...it makes me boil. I could probably boil ramen noodles with the amount of steam coming out of my head.

It's minute longer than before. Killers did get deserved buff but they got their perks nerfed aswell, Ruin is destroyed, Pop is nerfed again, Corrupted is destroyed, Thana works on Legion and Plague not on all killers.
It's so funny how people are making it out how it's impossible to survive, how they are camped every match without video proof, because i played 6 hours yesterday and I've been camped 3 times. Survived most of the times. But yeah, this community is full of sheep's, what did i even expect, ofc bunch of survivor mains will find themselves attacked and will insult me in the comments, like in the post game chat for the past five years.
It's longer than minutes, especially if you face legions with thano on. One of my matches with legion with thano + more regression perks, literally nothing but running around mending, and looping repeat x100. I have not gotten out in any of my matches against a legion lmao. I don't like to be in a game forever with gens taking as long as they are. I lost track of the time one of my matches took with a legion and it draggggged on sooooo long that me and the last remaining person just stood there for them to kill us. It really isn't fun tbh... -___-
-
This varies for me. I had people run the killer to me, which is fine. I don't expect everyone to know where I am on the map, even when I am on a gen. If they need me to take a hit, I will also do it or even take aggro.
If I have the killer on my ass, and I am looking for a loop and you happen to be there working a gen there.. what do you suggest I do? Either I take the killer to that loop and give time so other people get a gen done, or take the killer to the middle of the map and go down instantly and that gives less time to do a gen.
If people run the killer to you on purpose, then they are an ass but I feel a majority of the time if you have the kilter on you.. you are just running for your life lol. I will move out of the way if I am on a gen, if you are heading my way. Then get back on.

The problem I have with the legions I face is the games are soooo unbearably long. I kid you not.... Like last night when I had to face a legion with thana + ruin + pain the game took so long at one point we only got 3 gens done, and 2 people were dead. It was just me and one person, we just gave up. It was like already 15+ minutes into the match. I got so tired of mending, looping and repeat. It came to a point where we both just stood in front of the legion to just kill us.
I prefer a fast paced game to be honest, then a slow paced one. The gens already are unbearably long to do with stack on pain+ thana + ruin on top of it.
