wdym it's "impossible" the hooks are literally marked with red circles 🤣 Look at all that empty space without a hook.
The issue is you're standing in the open. As long as a hook is visible from you to it, it wont show an aura, even if its obscured by fog! If this was on an indoor map, or looking at auras through a wall, then it would mean something, but for all we know theres 5600 hooks just out of sight through the fog.

Gives 2 extra meters of distance (same or near old DH's extra distance), has a chance to do it again, and 12s exposed is honestly is nothing
doesnt have I frames during the dash, can force you to drop your item, and if used for distance to grab off hook at the last moment can make you scream and let go.

Devour hope and slugging more than likely, when you completely remove the killer's ability to recover and get back into the game in any way shape or form in the end game this is what you're going to end up with.
And let's be honest if you ever end up with base kit unbreakable, you should absolutely expect to see every form of insta kill and Mori in the game become the only meta that exists.
The more risky you make hooking survivors the less killers are going to want to do it.
It's been explicitly stated by the devs that the anticamping feature will be disabled in end game
-
Do you have any other perks that allow you to pick yourself up? They will take precedence over Unbreakable if their conditions are met.
-
Dramaturgy is fine, it's a wacky perk that doesn't give much distance and can seriously harm a player if used wrong

yeah and a fun one I assume, find survivor, hook, leave hook, come back hook, down, hook, leave hook, come back hook, down, hook, leave hook, come back hook, down
such fun gameplay, you must be really extatic from it

I don't see Otzdarva constantly returning to hooks,
also RNG? really?

toxic smurfing gameplay, poor killer
I never said it was fun, just smart. With how much gen regression is usually needed to bring gen times to managable levels at higher MMRs, aura perks are hard to fit in.

I believe wiggling is only necessary to keep the killer from carrying a survivor indefinitely or as @Pulsar said, to prevent survivors from getting hooked in the basement every down.
Wiggle escapes should be all but impossible if the killer goes for the nearest hook.
This. You're meant to punish greedily moving to scourges/basement, or misplays and not noticing a nearby hook. If a killer decides "I don't care, as long as they're on a hook" theres not much you should be able to do out of massive plays.
-
The killers for some reason 9/10 times instantly start returning to the hook after the unhook unless they found someone.
This is actually pretty normal. Why should I keep patrolling and possibly find no one when I can just go back to where I know theres at least 2 survivors? It's not tunnelling (Unless it's explicitly to chase the guy on hook) just smart gameplay.
-
Potentially related: Entering frenzy, attempting to vault a pallet, and getting blinded all in the same moment can make you unable to move or break the pallet in front of you. You can still swing in place.
-
Baiting a survivor into getting into a position I wanted him to be as massive TR wesker
https://clips.twitch.tv/FastBusyPigeonHassanChop-HUM0EjAtOn8U-Bj7 -
I just wish survivors got better event triggers. Killers could remotely smash pallet and force downs, survivors got a pallet that was closer to a freddy dream pallet than an actual pallet and a window blocker which does nothing on 90% of the loops. If the pallets had stayed up for just 3 seconds once dropped they'd actually have been good.
All in all though, I think some way of making stakes higher as a chase goes on for both sides could be a pretty good refresher for the game, when done correctly.
-
Endgame, Clown with No-ed, gate 6m away was 99'ed on the school and he was carrying someone. I somehow managed to bait him to swing at me, whiff, and pallet slammed him to save the survivor and we got out
-
Its their right to leave if they wish; lots of people forget that escaping is your own objective, and going back in is risky regardless of the situation.
I'll happily attempt to save, but if I sense a bloodwarden, or I deem it to risky, I will leave and abandon the other survivors.
-
Buff in some areas, nerf in others.

I is a lot of crap. It used to be better, upon release. But then a bunch of people started whining it being too hard and they increased the hitbox.
You're joking right? The PTB hitbox was too big, no arguing with that, but the release hitbox was so small you could literally bounce off survivors. Saying that was better is just admitting you refuse to get better against him.
-
yeah seems about right actually.

You shouldn't be able to pull double iri addons from the perk. This would mean survivors could pull BNP as well.
Also just a fun meme thing you can do is that you can deactive corrupt at the start by using No Mither and Plot Twist.
unironically might do that for the memes
-
where are you seeing these? cant find it
-
Meta is usually based on what the other side brings and does, and might change a bit before settling into a new meta until a perk is changed or added.
-
@Tsulan said:
I wouldn´t call the sadako changes a buff though. The condemn feature just gets completely handed over to the control of survivors. As long as they carry a tape, their condemnation wont increase. So everyone will carry a tape at all times, which will also result in less tvs to teleport to, since the cd also increases when survivors turn a tv off.
if everyones carrying a tape at all times then they're taking condemn stacks when hit, and giving other survivors stacks if they get hooked
-
I think it'll be more powerful.
Holding a tape negates the teleport condemn, but if Onryo catches you out with a tape, that can be incredibly damaging to you, and your team if she hooks you.
-
As long as it's the same base survivor or killer.

Tools Of Torment was horrendous how can you say Singularity sucks and then say ToT was good?
yeah that's a bit weird. Theres a reason she's nicknamed the Dull Merchant. Singularity is unique, and in the hands of someone who enjoys the kind of playstyle he presents he can be incedibly strong, but not boring.

it's probably a random perk challenge bug yes, but NWO doesn't give any notifications whatsoever, it just blocks the gate
its also entirely possible to miss NWO's activation if you aren't near a gate for the time limit
-
Just make them whiff. The swong just needs to happen while you're in chase, and it needs to miss near you.

Really? Do you have any source? I totaly missed it, I thought they don't care and the skins are still in the game and store.
I can't be ######### finding a source, but I can tell you DbD weren't really in with the NFT thing, it was the pinhead license holders that wanted it, and with the absolute backlash BHVR got they managed to convince them to shut it down. Then, as you know, the crypt tv thing
-
One of the things I find fun as survivor is pulling outlandish stunts and getting away with it, my favorite in recent memory being baiting a clown to swing at me, whiff, and the swing making them just close enough to pallet stun and save the person they were carrying.
-
Not exactly what I asked for but sure. Also don't like going full meta, I like using different perks
Anyone with an actual suggestion?

also, does the invitation aura only show up for survivors? when I play as survivor I can see it, but when I play as killer I can't. Maybe the survivors are just getting it before I notice it?
You have to use the Terrormisu to see the aura. Anyone can collect them however

I did hope this to be the case but I rarely see them offered in normal play. What is with people just collecting them and not using them. Makes no sense to me.
Because they're limited; they'll never show up again. It's not a fact of people hoarding them, it's a fact of they simply all eventually get used. Sure there may be a few exceptions, but most of the time people will keep only 1 and use the rest

Basically, the floating dancers are just decorations as far as i can tell, they disappear as soon as you approach them and don't affect your masquarade invite.
The way it works is that you need to collect an invitation and have at least 1 invite charge available when the End Game Collapse triggers by any means, when the masquarade invite turns gold during the End Game collapse and you can't use it anymore, it means that the invite has been redeemed and you've unlocked a Masquarade Mask for a character.
Just needs to be an exit open, whether gate (which always triggers EGC) or hatch (which doesnt)
-
The floaty things around you are how many invites you have. Max 2
You can use them in chase only, whether you're killer or survivor
It turning gold means you held at least 1 charge when an exit was open (gate or hatch). congrats, you earned a cosmetic.

It's just how you perceive a game.
If I and my teammate gonna not get caught by Wesker thats gonna mean that something wrong with balance in game. Killer should catch and kill, it's not possible to not get caught.
Actually it is possible. In fact its the only way for a survivor to obtain an Iridescent Unbroken

So you want to hear about how worthless you are? Or that you're a disappointment bc you fall or didn't get -4?
I don't care. It's in character and adds to the atmosphere. It's also funny when you do outrun him and he says the lines.
-
Because we're playing Wesker, who's entire character is like that? Stop trying to turn this into another leatherface situation.
-
For starters, don't chase them. Unless you have the mobility to catch up with them, it's fruitless whether they are running MFT or not. Follow them long enough to push them off whatever gen they were on, break line of sight if able, and then peel to another gen/survivor.
So you want me to go full skull merchant than?

Alternatively, Killers could just use their brain and/or their power to catch Survivors, instead of following their exact pathing and rely on math to win them the game.
Please, tell my how I can use my brain to catch up to a survivor holding W?

This is a bug with hindered in general; any source of hindered+injure will count

@Pumpkinbros said:
What goal do they achieve by escaping the killer, what's the point of the trials, why not just bleed out and die every single trial, because they'll still be in the realm regardless if they win or lose, is the endless trials a part of the lore, or is that just a game aspect, if its lore, yeah, there's no point to survive at all, you achieve nothing, it's just endless work you'll be put through, if there is a point, I wanna know, why hasn't that part of the lore been revealed yet
Two reasons:
- they still believe theres an escape. And besides, dying is painful
- If they just give up and stop trying to escape, the entity throws them into the void, which only 2 people have ever returned from iirc

Does it though? Killers are going to catch up to you eventually… they’re designed for just that. Dead Hard also required skill to use.
dead hard for distance required 0 skill, and saying otherwise is just delusional.

How many matches has NOED ruined the match because the whole outcome was reversed only because the killer is rewarded for his failure
It's like saying (everything you've done, all the effort you've made, all the sacrifices you've made will be thrown into the nearest trash can)
Not to play "Killer main VS Survivor main" But deadhard rewards you for failing and that was apparently fine for so long...
-
Hope, MfT, Wake Up, Sole Survivor
I trust my ability to play the game basically perkless (with a little boost from MfT), but not the ability of my solo teammates. If we make it to endgame, Wake Up and Hope lets me get gates ready to pop ASAP, while MfT gives a little extra looping power. If things go south and I'm the last one standing, Sole Survivor and Wake up makes me open gates at lightning speed, Hope lets me zoom when hatch is closed, and MfT for just a little more distance in case those few seconds are the difference between death and escape

and pallet, breaking with overcharge.
first off, its overclocked not overcharge. Overcharge is a perk from the doctor
but I’m constantly seeing the singularity yes 4 kills every match. I play due to their constant teleportation and pallet, breaking
pre-dropping the pallet works very often against the singularity. He is a killer build around punishing pallet stuns.
Over all the singularity as of right now is not very strong BUT has a lot of potential when he is in the right hands. A lot of people say he is unplayable but in my opinion he is a higher than average killer. He seems pretty strong to me and i dont consider myself a good singularity player.
But he definitely dont deserves a nerf. He is only strong when played in the right hands, average killer players will bomb his overall statistics into the ground, making is seem like he is weak.
One nerf i could accept would be a cooldown on his teleport. Him being able to teleport again right after his overclock ends seems a bit to strong. Just like 7 or 10 seconds would be enough in my opinion.
In the right hands
This. Hux is unique, and plays very differently, in a way many people don't enjoy. There are a few of us that love the camera kinda of playstyle tho.
-
SO THATS WHY EVERYONE HAS SYRINGES
-
@gothiclolitia said:
i still don’t get how 3% is strong but keep on complaining
Because 3% means you've reduced the speed difference between you and the killer by 20%, a whole fifth, more than enough to make loops that would have been hits easy greeds and adding 2-4 loops. Sounds a lot worse now doesn't it?
I'm fine with it's power, but not it's trigger.

The numbers must say and show that most people struggle playing him and he is not performing as expected. Just because you found a few streamers that do well on him doesn’t mean it’s the regular thing. There are people who 4k usually on Freddy and that does not mean he is overpowered. The same way people need to figure out how to play as him, people need to learn how to play against him, and more people learned faster to go against him than playing as him because it’s way easier to counter him than playing as him. To this day there are people who struggle against Hag or Twins because they’re not used to different gameplay that these killers require against them. Practice makes perfect!
Cheers :)
What I'm scared for (and kinda happy about) is BHVR making Singularity more accessible, simply because for those of us who's playstyle lines up with Hux's unique power he's going to become very powerful

“26 blood webs later” and refuses to use an add on they have probably acquired way more then the addons they want to obtain more of the addons they want all while still being able to play the killer they love playing. 😆
I just checked (cause I haven't used any of them). I have 4. I don't know how many I started with before the levels, but I only had 4 black wards after it, so the point is moot anyway.

Pallet vaccum wasn't an intended mechanic, which is why it was removed (although I'm not sure it's 100% gone tbh). Pallets are still as good as ever, unless you're facing a killer that doesn't care about them, but in this case even buffing pallets wouldn't change anything.
Considering you started playing a week ago it's normal you feel there aren't enough pallets, because you and / or your teammates are probably dropping all of them immediately instead of looping them. If you want to learn how to loop better and save pallets longer you can use Windows of Opportunity (Kate Denson perk) that will make you see where windows & pallets are, or you could even bring Any Means Necessary (Yui Kimura perk), which will allow you to reset dropped pallets when the killer doesn't drop them.
There's a minor amount of vacuum now where you can start to run from a pallet and vacuum back to it. The problematic vacuuming was where you could reach one side of the pallet and teleport to the other side while dropping it (and back then the interaction radius was huge), meaning you could swing at a survivor as they reached a pallet, and suddenly they teleport 3 meters ahead and drop the pallet.
