After reading this thread, I think I'm just gonna start running into basement with no Sable perks.
I call it the basement tech, the next evolution of the Laurie tech /s

We call this one the Frenzied Legion effect.
I got tired of living my life in constant fear and embraced the Enduring+Dissolution combo.
When I was playing Legion on the reg I was bagging 1 free Enduring down every match minimum. Then the topic becomes "killers don't respect anything!" so there's no winning there
-
If you see me on Skull Merchant, I'm down to hook farm and kill you all immediately or take turns 1v1ing if 1+ Survivor DCs
Apparently some think this is the perfect opportunity to bleed people out but that's borderline psychotic, so I like to think I'm making the best out of an unfortunate situation, as entire farming matches are boring and time consuming; we all just want to go next

Alien can be decent even against solos because of turret auras. As long as one person is kinda managing turrets, Alien ain't too bad.
Turretmaster is kinda doing nothing objective wise but if people aren't going down because turrets keep breaking chase, then life's good.
The problem starts when people start dying before any turrets go online.
Biggest issue I think is walk speed, you need to use rhem smart but fast but you can't drag them too far.
Alien is so much more manageable with the Nancy perk Fixated. I feel like I can actually spread my turrets out outside the Command Posts

it is supposedly his counter-play. my problem with this counter-play is that his m1 play is weak. artist has double hit mechanic as well but unlike unknown, her m1 play is good because you can use birds to shutdown loops by sheer existence.
I think it's a fine line as Unknown can zone you out by placing grenade where you don't want the survivor to go.

Bring Unbreakable or setup an Exponential....thanks for the heads up.

People are gonna use perks they find fun regardless of what people think.
People want to win despite what people think is fun.
What an odd conundrum this perk is in, even after it got buffed to not be immediately casually wrecked by Surge. So sad, as it's easily Sablea most unique perk.
I am kinda surprised just how nonexistent the perk is. I see more non Botany Self Cares, not that that says a lot but hey

The two perks are in different categories. That's why it can't be compared. While one prevents you from taking damage, the other allows you to receive information. Even with other Exhaustion perks, it can be put in a different category because SB, BL and Lithe are for opening distance, not for preventing damage. What I want from you is to use Dramaturgy according to the usage areas I wrote above. Then you will realize that you are as strong as the others or even the old DH.
I kinda lumped them together because I broadly consider them both to be generally "chase perks".
Both these perks can help prevent damage by giving you value at the start of, or prior to the chase. I'm a pre runner who doesn't engage killers, so Dramaturgy is definitely up my alley. I'm kind of allergic to heals though which is the main thing holding me back from loving it. Although Sable is here now so maybe this is the time to give Dramaturgy another shot

Has anybody ever seen a baby pigeon?
-
Personally I think Scene Partner is the more powerful perk, all that holds it back vs Dramaturgy is the crazy amount of Undetectable killers.

I mean, iron will didn't needed a Nerf in first place.
It really did though, at least at the time it was needed. Not even taking Spirit into consideration.
These days though where Ultimate Weapon and Nowhere to Hide exist, it may as well come back. I think it should stay at 75% it's still very powerful but that Exhausted nerf kills it. It'd be very nice to have with Lucky Break paired with Lithe or Overcome
-
I for one, think flame turrets are pretty neat. They aren't there just to look pretty, they are like "Sprint Bursts" that you can invest time into that will pay out later. A good turret alone can be a chase ender. How is that not cool? It's satisfying to make the killer give up on you

Bubba downed me multible times and let me struggle out of their grasp. Then we went to a different part of the map and we repeated the process. I also got downed one time where she could see what is going on.
Being downed but not hooked is usually a sign that the killer wants the slug to see your aura and run straight for you.
I don't blame Mikaela for being suspicious.

Unknown forcing you to look behind is doing you a favour in the long run

The short forced M1 attack bug, that can steal hits from the killer, will forbid a killer from lunging if the game decides the killer is “too close” to a survivor. In this scenario, you are forced into making short M1 attacks because you are close to an hooked survivor, and you are forbidden from lunging around the hooked survivor.
In addition, aim assist can forcibly yank your camera towards a hooked survivor.
It's especially funny if that survivor is being sacrificed; one second Spirit is zeroing in on you, the next she is "WAH!"-ing the sky

All the face camp measures did was legitimize proxy camping. Anyone who wasn't doing so before, is doing so now

Old Pain res was better imo
I miss it so, so much; why kick gens when you can hook survivors faster than they can do gens?
This new Pain Res is simultaneously worse but somehow even more sweaty. I say this as somebody who has never cared for the Pain Res explosion notifications/scream block synergy
-
The fact that this is an early game perk is laughable considering how ubiquitous Corrupt Intervention is
-
I have a phobia that I'll being driven insane by another 30 second loop
Fear of the loop....fear of the LOOP!

The reason why the new killer is being played is unknown

I've wondered why this game is so rage inducing at times. Are we, as a community, a bunch of emotionally stunted children?
Nah. Like LoL and OW, I think this game has no dopamine to dispense to you if you are being crushed.
Like, imagine you whiff all your hits. Your m1s smack dropped pallets. You eat pallets. Survivors hold w forever. Can't hook anybody. No time to make a cool play etc. Etc. Games lost but you still have to keep going.
This games fun tends to be zero sum. Your enjoyment spawns from somebody else's misery....sometimes.
That's my crackpot theory. You even see dbd content creators get stressed over silly things. Like the other day Otz went on about pesky survivors use Bushes on Dead Dawg to avoid killers. You know, one of the most killer sided maps in the game with 0 counterclaim against killers like Nurse because the loops kinda stuck outside Main Build. Not saying the guy has bad opinions, just that this game naturally makes people lash out because it's sometimes the only catharsis you will receive. Many situations in dbd you feel like you have no agency.
I don't find Dbd ad bad as LOL though. I had to quit LOL because I was starting to exhibit physical symptoms of stress. At least solo survivor you can enjoy the sky box of Toba Landing and just let your team die.
-
So far I counter Unknown same way I do Alien...with empathy. I think "if I were this killer, what would I do?"
So far reading him is pretty easy. I also holdW like mad.
That said,he seems like a great proxy camper. Unhook make me anxious. Seems like with Alien, dealing with his power is mandatory
-
Ultimate Weapon only exists to abuse Interaction resetting and proxy camping. Just keep survivors injured and boom, no chance for rescue.
Face camp meter won't even fill because Ultimate gives you peace of mind to proxy hard enough to contest generators

Yes it'll all be there as long as you use the same PS account.
It kind of weirds me out you're even asking this when your house just burnt a couple days ago. Very weird priority issue IMO but either way I wish you best with what you're going through.
I've had family go through it as well and it's rough. Again, I wish you the best.
Dudes home burned down, I bet Dbd would be a nice way to get your mind off the bad thoughts. Sometimes sticking to a routine is a coping mechanism in a time of trouble
-
The only build so far I got to make Weaving Spiders work required No Mither+Fixated for a permanent stealth build, and it required me playing David to fool killers into thinking I'm going for David Adept.
I still feel like Resilience would been more useful than praying.

Once upon a time, Jeryl mains existed. And they suffered tons of nasty abuse and bigotry. Not really surprised tbh.

Legion is great. Just because the average killer refuses to use anything but Thana/Dying Light/Corrupt that's a skill issue.
