The devs have so much ######### going on its ridiculous.
People want to dc to derank and find matches without waiting for 30 minutes.
While one side wants to punish everyone who DCs by banning them.
What a ######### position to be in bhvr
What do you mean? All they have to do is fix the matchmaking, and punish DCing. The whole reason queue times are so high is because rank 1 people are being paired with rank 15 people, and there aren't enough rank 1s to go around.

@SuperRavenSn1per See, you have it right. Now, despite my snarky earlier post, I don't usually camp. I am bad at the game, though, but I'm also fairly new to playing (I bought it last summer and left by end of summer due to gray ranks being lobby simulator back then, just came back steadily last week) and got boosted from Rank 18 all the way to Rank 15 Friday night due to this damned free-weekend and the fact that a 4k was impossible not to get against brand new survivors trying out the game.
Today, I've been facing a lot of Ranks 9 through 11, though, which is tough as hell when you honestly shouldn't be out of the gray ranks yet. I don't even have enough bloodpoints earned except to unlock the teachables on Bubba. Everyone else is Level 1 or Level 8 at the highest. So, being in the de-ranking Vet territory now truly sucks for me.
Anyway, I faced a team today that I found out quickly was extremely altruistic. When I hooked one, the other three literally swarmed the hook. The way they played, I think they figured out quickly that I was still a baby killer. So, I camped and revved the chainsaw. One tried to distract me, so I stepped away from the hook and let the chainsaw attack go off. Then I quickly stepped in reverse and nailed the other two that tried to unhook behind me.
The fourth moved in and I hit him once with M1 and chased him for a bit. He lost me, which was expected. The first died on hook. I hooked the other two. Camped one. The other got unhooked and here they came again.
Anyway, long story short, we kept repeating the process until they died for the altruism. I slugged number three and left him while I chased and downed number four, then hooked them both. They weren't getting Hatch on principle (they also loved to point and then t-bag at me).
So yeah, I camped with Bubba today because I noticed their altruism early on. But do I usually camp? No. I find it boring. After playing Legion, I think he might be my main, and I don't camp with him. Ditto for Myers, which will be my second main until I get used to Huntress.
I came back around last week steadily as well, though unlike you I started playing 2 years ago and would, unlike with a lot of other games, count myself as a skilled player. I haven't had to camp really yet, but I just got o rank 14 today and I am starting to already get in pretty tense situations. I've been having a 3k from hatch escapes consistently now due to me not camping, and I've had a close call about where I needed to camp. So the OP can call me garbage if they want if I need to camp but considering in the time of around 5 days I've gotten from rank 20 to 14 playing about 2 games at a time and get 3-4ks each time I would count myself as pretty good.
By the way I'm not bragging here just saying that while I usually don't need to camp, I still need to camp sometimes due to some situations.
-
While you're somewhat right today I've had at least five or more survivors disconnect today out of rage just because I knocked them down too early, or they didn't want to die the way they did. I feel like while some people are telling the truth a lot of people are using the recent bugs as an excuse to DC whenever and blame it on a bug.
Usually most of the involuntary DCs are during loading screens when the infinite loading screen bug pops up
-
If you loop in any way then you aren't good at this game! You should just throw every pallet down when a killer is chasing you and keep running!
Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? Saying if you camp in any way that you're bad is basically saying that looping for any reason is bad. Some killers you need to loop, while at the same time some survivors you need to camp because maybe the team is too altruistic and is just hovering around the hook, or maybe that survivor knows where the hatch is and has a key for the rest of the remaining team to escape.

I think i have something. Google
Kuchisake-onnaIts based on some japanese folklore about a ghoulish woman who was mutilated by her husband with a glasgow smile who now randomly approaches victims and asks them if shes pretty, if they say yes she will give them a similar scar, if they say no she will kill them with sharp weapons.
She hides her scars and distorted mouth using a surgical mask. Feng has a cosmetic with a surgical mask and Trappers smile on it (I know shes chinese but still the only female asian in the game).
I was personally thinking of Teke Teke which is another Japanese urban legend.

Love when survivors don't have valuable arguments so they resort to putting words in killers mouths.
-
I don't care about how long it takes to fix, I care about how they aren't communicating with us at all.
-
I don't agree, if they undo that nerf they'll nerf if 10x worse in another way.
-
No, it's a legit strategy, you can't punish a legit strategy. It's like if devs punished survivors for genrushing. Each side should be able to use a legit strategy without being punished for it.
-
No, just no, Nurse is good enough.
-
Got told by a salty SWF group after I camped them because they wouldn't get away from the hook: "4x reported by us all for trolling and abusing, enjoy your ban."
-
Considering toxic survivors that will just heal the survivor in front of killer this could be OP.
-
The most OP perk in the game, Calm Spirit.

Punishing camping would be a bad idea, they've already tried to do it twice, they won't try it again. It's like if devs punished and took points from loopers, it won't happen.I don't understand why people keep on comparing camping and looping. This only shows you don't even follow up what's going on in DbD development team.
Do you know it's been over 6 months they're talking about balancing loops and are doing so?Do you know it's been a year they're asking every single week during the dev stream to stop camping?
They even tried many way to fix it like blocking the entity when the killer is near the hook. They even feel forced to ask people TO NOT CAMP during the lunar event because they don't need the kill to get the coin :').So please, stop camparing an unbalanced mechanic with non-anymore intended mechanic and think about a way to fix it. Since leatherface released and camp has increased to 90% of players, they lost an average of 50% of their regular playerbase. Stats shows that the amount of player used to be around 30k-40k when a killer release and 20k-25k otherwise. From Leatherface to The Pig, we barely reached 25k as the absolute max and the only reason why we're more than 15k right now is the PTB.
Looping sure is strong but it is actually REALLY strong only at high rank when most player, who are at low rank, don't know anything but looping while killer camp from rank 20 to rank 1 and it doesn't leave a chance no matter the rank. So yes looping isn't fair, even if you can still play mind or go catch another survivor, but camping isn't fair and it's not fun either. Being camped is not fun, camping is not fun.
This mechanic just shows how frustrated the players are and how unbalanced this game is.Delete camping, balance every single thing left (perks, items, addon, maps,...) and you get a good game. Keep camping, balance the rest, and people will continue rage quitting and eventually stop DbD like stats show us.
The reason we compare camping & looping is because they're both strong tactics for each side.
At this point in time there is no balance to looping, they removed the void, but that only takes off 1 loop per area.
The devs that ask killers to stop camping are the devs who have made this game horrible unbalanced, they don't play the game so all they see is the complaints about camping and assume that's how it is.
Looping was never intended, it was a bug, and you can't tell me that 90% of killers camp, I almost never run into campers. You wanna know why we have so many now and so few before? It's because killers left and on the PTB they're giving DBD it's last chance to see if it fixed anything.
There is so many great loopers at high ranks because, they only loop so can't get past rank 13, they use SWF to break the already broken matchmaking system, they are just good at DBD from pretty much the start, and much more. Camping is fair, it isn't fun, but is pretty much the only way to take on some of the toxic SWF groups that bombrush the hook.
How do you even delete camping? How about instead of punishing something you don't like, give an incentive not do it, such as if you don't camp you get extra points, or they could fix bombrushing so decent killers don't need to camp, usually it's the survivors fault that they get camped, not the killers.

Wolf74 said:Survivor came up with some weird "code of conduct" how killer should play.
-Don't camp
-Don't tunnel
-Let the last one escape
-Respect kobe (4%)
-Don't use Noed
-Don't use Insidious
-Don't use the basement
Nowadays they are just social tools to use peer pressure to shame killer player into playing stupid and giving easy wins.
Also don’t use Franklins
And don’t patrol gens
Hey don’t protect your hex totems
Why aren’t my flashlights working? Oh you’re using Lightborn, how dare you!Hell, I’ve had survivors complain that I pick them up facing walls so their friends can’t blind me lol.
Why is everyone forgetting stuff? You forgot:
If a survivor burns a Blood Party Streamer you aren't allowed to kill them
You have to let survivors hit you with a pallet, no faking hits
If you kill all 4 people you're a noob so don't kill anyone
If you don't kill anyone you're a noob so kill all 4
If you don't camp then in after game chat they're allowed to say "BRUH U SHULDVE CAMPEDED"
Make sure not to knock someone down and leave them there, you must pick them up the second you knock them down no matter how many toxic flashlight survivors they have -

What you did was fine. You did respect the 4%. He even got back to full health so like...Disrespecting the 4% would be considered watching the person (facecamping) until they have every failed attempt gone, and if they do Kobe off the hook you instantly down them instead and just rehook to ruin any chance they got.
inb4 "Killers don't have to do #########" comments, let me just say, you're defeating the entire purpose of that luck 4% and being able to possibly escape on SUCH A SLIM CHANCE THAT ONLY HAPPENS 4% OF THE TIME. It's a low chance to begin with, and it's a dick move if you purposely facecamp just to make sure every chance they got is gone. It's not saying you can't do it, you most certainly can, but man even I wouldn't be a dick enough to do that.
The killer doesn't have to respect #########. He is there to kill the survivors that are trying to survive. Just because you got lucky and pulled your self off the hook doesn't mean you get away scot free. The killer is suppose to kill you just remember that big component to the game that clearly flew over your head..
. "It's not saying you can't do it, you most certainly can,"
LOL I literally said that
My point was it's just a dick move if you really just stand there making sure they're completely #########. I'm not saying you can't do it, what kind of made up rule is that?
Stop being so defensive.....
The way you said "What you did was fine!" sounded like if he would've done something else it wouldn't have been fine.

Noob Dwight, I love seeing them just crouching and peaking around corners like they're ninjas. It's like watching a dog play.

I have a few ideas:
Power:
Name: Creeper's FlightAfter being activated The Creeper will be able to hover over pallets or other obstacles for 1 second, after landing The Creeper will be stunned for 1 second making him unable to walk, during this time The Creeper can still hit any survivor in his lunge radius. There would be a 20 second cooldown.
There would also be many scarecrows across the map that look exactly like The Creeper, The Creeper could disguise himself as one of the scarecrows, doing this would grant him the ability to do a surprise attack and would lower the terror radius to 5 meters.
Addons:
Name: Broken/Worn/Shiny Scarecrow Podium
Adds 1/2/3 extra scarecrow podiums.
Name: Torn/Thin/Thick Feathers
Increases flight time by 0.5/1/1.5 seconds, increases cooldown time by 0.5/1/1.5 seconds.
Mori:
The Creeper would fly into the air and the survivor would attempt to escape making The Creeper drop them, they would die on impact.
This is just a few ideas. Also, I didn't realize you had already put the scarecrow power part so I didn't steal it, I just didn't realize you put it at first.

@FireKeep said:
But I think the survivor should till have a chance at escaping. I do like the idea of whoever gets there first wins, but the survivor could just hold the killer hostage by hiding the whole game and doing no generators, forcing the killer to quit the game. How about after a minute or two crows slowly start to fly over the survivor head. This would keep the game from being held hostage, and since it gives the location, and the killer has already closed the hatch, they would win since they got there first.
-
The issue is just because you are alive doesn't mean you deserve the hatch escape. There are so many ways to be the last survivor alive and almost none of them make you deserve a hatch escape.
-
Because it's the PTB and they say it doesn't matter.

The way to stop camping is to give killers incentives not to camp. So taking points from the killer might be a solution, but awarding them to survivors is not. Survivors getting points doesn't directly impact the killer in any way, so unless the killer is just salty and sadistic they're not going to care if the survivor gets points if it doesn't impact them. What I mean is if in the current system a killer facecamps and survivors get no points, and in the new system they facecamp and the survivor gets points, all else being equal, it's not going to make a difference to them.Taking points from the killer will NOT be a solution because it would be abused heavily by survivors.
-
This system could be easily avoided, just don't look at the survivor you're camping, then the system will not even function how it is meant to. If you were to remove the feature where the killer has to be looking at them, it could be abused, just loop the killer around the survivor and BOOM, free points for the survivor on hook, and the killer is punished for not giving a free save. Do you see why none of the systems would work?
-
Punishing camping would be a bad idea, they've already tried to do it twice, they won't try it again. It's like if devs punished and took points from loopers, it won't happen.

Wait why didn’t you chainsaw him? Or is that the weapon animation you were referring to?
It takes time to charge up the chainsaw, it doesn't matter who you're playing, you shouldn't have to even attempt to hit a survivor before picking up the one who lost the chase and got knocked down. You won the chase, so why should you have to take on another survivor just to get the "reward" for winning the chase.

The survivor does nothing to define the behavior of the player. Toxic behavior is when the player makes it their goal to give the opposing team a miserable time. That said... It was a meg, and she died swiftly.
Yea, I know, I'm just asking who (in your experience) do most toxic players play as.
