  • Happened to me but probably won’t get fixed like most things in this game.

"Both sides are fked up mentally", what? Last time I checked I'm not the damn Joker because I want to play a video game. This community is pretty toxic I will say that, but this is one of the few threads that is chill, so you can go sit down. And if you're gonna insult us, at least come up with something better than "frustrated weebs", how about something that actually pertains to the game.

Good on you and sadly I have semi-quit this game because I’m sick of it. But for you all who are hanging in there good luck to you strong individuals. I just can’t stand how stupid this game is actually played. From horror to frustration. It’s disappointing, but my hearts go out to you chill killer mains.

You know I wish we had more of these, as someone who plays killer more then survivor, it is real struggle to keep the pressure and mentality after just one rough team.

It’s okay dude. We have it rough. Just remember us Killers run the show and we are important, but if you ain’t feeling good, do something else that will make you feel good cuz Dbd is a mess when it comes to that. Take care.

  • On a serious note. No matter how you view this, this game can only succeed now if it fails. The game needs to die. Only then can the devs realize the nonsensical decisions they’ve made. I know some people working on Dead by Daylight actually care about DBD that being the art team. It’s sad yes. But guys I’m kind of losing hope in this game. It’s becoming a bigger and bigger mess by the day now. And people in the community actually think the game is fine. Just sad.

  • My idea for killer and it’s cool.

“It’s time for blood to spill.”

Hex: Gorefest: Every 40/35/30 seconds your next basic attack will apply Deep Wound if they are healthy or if they would be downed by there hit they can’t recover while in the dying state.

This is a fear driven perk. If a team is not careful around the killer a swing could cause time to waste or even leave him or herself helpless while the killer begins it’s bloodbath. This counters all survivor dying state perks. This perk seems a bit strong so I made it have a bit of a Cooldown and it’s a hex. Thoughts?

  • Honestly think they need to balance this game severely. People ofc say that this game isn’t competitive or that we shouldn’t focus on top level play which we should mind you because those people are the ones who keep playing the game and bring in others. Also DBD is a competitive game and that’s how it’s designed. Any game can be competitive mind you. It’s just a matter of how many people are willing to play it on a competitive level and people like the competitiveness of DBD but for love of god stop saying this game is balanced or that so and so is fine because it’s not. A lot of stuff in Dbd is just poorly designed and sadly the incompetence from the devs means we won’t get good changes. Sorry people who actually care but the devs won’t fix the game but I am hoping some of you stand up to the devs because you can like DBD but let’s be honest this game is a mess sometimes.

...until you can get your act together.

Honest to goodness I've not seen so many ClusterF's done by one company in such a short period of time it must break some kind of record.

You launch something half-arsed. Unlaunch it, re-launch it. Launch something else that's not ready - unlaunch it too soon. Launch something new.

Holy Christ on toast that's simply insane.

You wonder why you have hackers? It should be painfully obvious why you do.

    Just stop.

    Think.

    Plan.

    Test.

    Retest.

Or maybe the reason it's done this way is you're the type that loves chaos and toxicicity?

    In which case.

Hats tipped to you - Well done! XO Mission accomplished in spades.

    LMAO

And if anyone thinks I'm being harsh right now. Understand I'm literally laughing my head off because it's accurate and it is quite hilarious what a bloody disaster this has been the last couple months I've been around. I wonder if it's always been this way.

    Wow.

    Holy cow.

    #########

    LMAO.

Im going insane too. The potential the game had but it was all ruined because BeHaviour does not know how to make a functioning game. They made a crappy golf game and other messes before. With mental health in the way playing this game is such a pain I can’t anymore. Let’s just crap in this game they deserve it.

Whats up with killers bringing iri add ons and ebony moris since cross play became active? Played 10 games today never once was a mori or black ward not used.

Ive seen more ebony mori in the last 2 days than I came up against for 2 months. Funny theyre never purple or red ranks.

We get it, killers on all platforms are great. Can we play the game normally now? Similar unfun games for the other survs here?

Blame the devs for designing this game poorly.

Discordance shouldn't even have levels, I think it's a perfect example that leveling perks is a bad mechanic. Also, it is stressful to have to go up to level 3 one perk, spending a lot of points on the bloodweb.

I couldn’t agree with you more took me about 12 bloodwebs for surge 1 on Myers :(

  • I just hate looking for a perk and all of the sudden I have to use BP to buy the same perk over and over with barely any change. I’d be happy if they left as long as they keep the tier 3 version as the base perk.

    1. I personally think their should be a lower Cooldown probably 30 seconds.
    2. Don’t just make it just Basic Attacks and allow getting downed by anything like how infectious fright works.
    3. Increase Regression to 10%.
    4. I’d also like it if you can apply this regression on already regressing generators.

Btw I know this may seem overpowered but we need gen stop perks to rival Ruin and Pop. Tell me your thoughts.

  • I love playing Plague on PS4. Simply put get really good at tracking survivors movement while spraying your vile purge on survivors in chase it’s difficult but you’ll get the hang of it. Then try learning to aim a little higher from afar to get knock downs with Corrupt. More technically speaking you need to aim higher than you think with Plague. The Vomit sprays from the bottom of screen so you need to aim higher than say huntress would. Also learn to blanket whole loops with damage as Plague. I can’t explain really much I apologize. These tips are just some groundwork for you. Good Luck!

  • Killer: Deathbound is so fun. Always keeping survivors together for serious pain or secretly getting the drop on a survivor that doesn’t play with my rules is fun.

Survivor: Adrenaline is just so good and it’s saved me and helped me countless times.

I think this may interfere with their power. Im probably wrong, but I think that each Active Ability button perk as survivor counts as a power in the code. A killer cannot have two powers, so I assume that this would create a conflict.

It may but it was just a concept. If they do eventually do something like this it’d be interesting but if they don’t I won’t mind.

    It just needs a buff.

He may have a point. Unrelenting is MVP. It didn't save timestamp, skip to 5:20 for the game.

Ok it worked well in that scenario pretty well. I still believe it needs buff or change.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/174379/should-unrelenting-be-removed-from-the-game

I run the perk because you can use it to stop loops. After the survivor gets two loops lunge early if they go for a third loop you get a free hit I love that perk.

Ok that’s fair but it’s still a really weak perk. I think they could change it.

  • @DBD78 said:

Well you could argue that the worst perks should be removed, but it's better to find solutions on how to buff them instead. There are lots of weak survivor and killer perks out there that needs fixing. And no all perks should not be strong, but the worst ones should be buffed.

I’m not saying remove in a way that it disappears rather change the way it fundamentally works because missed attack recovery just isn’t favorable compared to better perks with better effects.

  • @SloppyKnockout said:

I mean SERIOUSLY, if you're complaining about unrelenting, you would have had a heart attack if you had been here during the days of MACHINE GUN.

I’m not complaining about the perk I’m just saying that this perk is poorly designed and should be changed or removed. Or buffed idc I’m just tryna start a discussion stop treating me like a low life I’ve been playing this game since 2017.

  • @Demian said:

I would rather buff Unrelenting. As the only unique anti-DH perk.

It's okay if players dare to choose Unrelenting rather than more useful and powerful perks like B&C, Ruin, Corrupt Intervention, PGTW, Brutal Strength, Bamboozle...

Yeah But would buffing it make it more favorable than other perks. Idk but thanks for giving a comment that doesn’t bring down my low self esteem.

  • Also Deathslinger could use unrelenting but then again it won’t get you far. They should just change how this perk works.

  • @ReaperTech said:

I feel like Unrelenting removes the skill factor of hitting yourself attacks as killer. In general if a new player runs Unrelenting they are not gonna adapt to needing to aim your attacks. I think it also is just a useless perk that teaches bad behavior to new players as killer. Idk I wanna hear your thoughts.

Lol the amount of comments telling me I’m complaining and that it’s weak. I understand it’s weak and it actually seriously needs buffs but how about change the perk entirely. It was only a thought and an idea because I feel like missing basic attacks recovery as a perk is pretty bad. I’m not a survivor main lol I play killer and Survivor and I’m not gonna complain about Monstrous Shrine lol. I just feel like Unrelentings design should be reworked. 😪

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Squirrel Thicc is right. Not everyone is like that.

You also end questions with a full stop, rather than a question mark. It makes reading your post quite difficult, don't you agree?

As for your little statement, there are people on both sides who do the same thing. Killers on these forums need to stop playing the "woe is me" card that they seem to love lately.

I’m sorry I type fast and I wish I was more straight forward about my post but I’m trying to say that the killer who are not toxic shouldn’t be given toxic outlook by survivors. Not all survivors are bad I apologize but I’m just tired of the disrespect. Apologies.

  • @ Antares2332 said:

The killer is a joke in this game. It is supposed to be scary, the problem is that if they make him strong, the survivors appear crying in the forums.. It seems that if they die in the game, they really die.

Yeah it’s honestly dumb. In this game if you die to the killer it may happen because they are the “killer” not the chaser. It just feels like the Killer is getting killed more than the actual survivors. Killers don’t feel powerful.

I mean like when they move without you seeing. Another question, what made you pick springtrap, why not Freddy?

I can answer a lot of your questions first, seeing the anamatronics move is fine for Freddy because he moved in the 3rd game and Mangle you don’t want to look at and BB doesn’t move technically. It’s just how mechanics work and in general they move to your office to kill you. Second, I chose the main villain who is “Purple Guy” William Afton. The idea is he’s the mastermind and he worked best to be a killer than an anamatronic in my opinion.

  • Amazing. You really should write more. A little about me but I’m gonna start writing my novel series. It has nothing to due with dbd. But other than that I’m really excited for your future writing. Good luck.

  • Cool concept. It’d be really difficult to create however if this ever makes it to the game I think it’s be cool. I love the power and the Perks. Good Job!

  • Btw this won’t happen for awhile so please be patient.

  • Sorry everyone but my phone changed Fogs to Gigs. ??? I’m just as confused as you. Sorry about that.

  • @Rydog said:

Pretty cool idea! Although I could see there being a big problem with what constitutes "looking at the killer." What if they have their camera turned to look behind them but they are running away?

Good Question it’d be kind of like ghost face. The whole premise of Ghost Faces power however is to look at him. With Mothman it’s to rather not look at him you only want to briefly look at him otherwise terror will build. In a chase you only want to briefly see him. If survivors look at Mothman he can take advantage of this by making them stare at him for longer then there hoping with Terrifying Gaze. He’s a very mind game killer. He might be hard to implement but it’s my concept.

  • I’ll explain what I’m trying to gain from the killer. The Wendigo’s design is to counter some loops by leaping and climbing over walls. If you Leap onto a wall you can climb briefly. Sorry forgot to explain that. So technically on Jungle Jim’s you can leap over walls to counter loops. He can also lurk to gain ground against targets and the bite would end off a chase like Demogorgon. This killer is designed to be ruthless in chases and will always be getting its claws dirty. However, he doesn’t care much about generators. It just wants to kill.

  • Lol accidentally put Madness instead of Terror. Apologies.

  • I’m sorry I forgot a lot of other things about Mothman. But, after 2 seconds of looking stacks will tremendously increase overtime. For instance, you stare at him for 2 seconds 1 terror, then 1.5 seconds 2 terror and it keeps going lower by to Terror 4 which then stays at 0.5 seconds to gain madness as long as your in it’s terror radius this time effect would stay. It’s complicated and I apologize. One last thing the max Terror is 6 and each level of Terror will increase there breathing and they’ll scream once they gain a level of Terror meaning in certain scenarios with Terrifying Gaze they’ll constantly scream(or if the survivor is trying to flashlight you. That is all. I apologize for the killer being so complex.

  • Btw the whole not being able to see the mothman but only it’s red stain is a concept based off people who’ve seen him but haven’t been able to see him again as proof for others but the presence of Mothman is still there. It’s not random, it’s just based off the actual cryptid.

  • I absolutely love this idea and would be excited if it made it into the game. There would need to be some slight nerfing to the shadow realm. But, I still think this is an awesome concept. 👏

  • @Megaguardain said:

I feel like the Phantom Animatronics shouldn't be able to harm Survivors. Having Phantom Freddy just chasing Survivors and breaking pallets should be all it can do.

Animated Machinery seems too powerful, if it was based on the Killer's Terror Radius or the last few gens the Killer has damaged it could work. But as is, it's a little too powerful.

    MatPat should be the Survivor

Would the cameras be visible for Security? And is it like damaging a generator where it takes a second or is it a hit and destroy?

For Ventilation, I think it should be a personal perk. It only effects the Survivor who has it equipped because it doesn't really make sense for it to effect other Survivors?

Those are just my two cents anyway

Phantom Freddy not being able to hit the survivor is great idea. I think instead maybe if he gets close to the survivor they’ll be affected by Hindred for an amount of time. The problem is if he couldn’t do anything else survivors could stand still and nothing would happen. Hindred might be best.

I think Animated Machinery should work on briefly damaged generators.

The camera’s auras on Security will be revealed to you like a hex if you’re killer (But to the survivor). To destroy a camera it would take a kick like on a generator or pallet. The cameras will be like tripods you could say.

Ventilation only working for yourself might actually work.

i like your criticism and I agree with some changes to be done to my concept.
