something something windows amazing tech something something significant
I dunno, apparently Killers' lack of vision is meant to come with perpetual stupidity, too.
It just sucks im forced to lose a perk due to getting headaches without it

Sigh.
Okay, let's go step by step.
- Define 'easy'. Compared to the game a few years ago, sure. Now watch the community cup with killers running the most evil perks in the game, slugging, camping, tunneling, on a killer sided map, against survivors with extreme restrictions on their perks and items - and still struggling to get a single kill. Easy?
- PTS...yes, 5 seconds on top of how many seconds shaved off working 2 on a gen? Now combine that with other perks.
- In my own games? Like...4? But here's the thing. A. There's always the potential of it, B. It's stupidly powerful and C. I've seen 1 'holding a 3gen from the start with Eruption' game in over a thousand, and the forums are still wall to wall with threads on it - so clearly HSFP is fair game.
- Name 5 good killer maps that aren't DDS or Midwich. And when I say 'good', I'm talking the equivalent of Garden of Joy (which can have an infinite). Because I can name you 5 good survivor maps that aren't GoJ.
- Fogwise...okay. Remember OoO? Fogwise is stronger in a 4man.
two people on a gen is genuinely less efficient than splitting up and will always be in 99% of cases, the ones that are good times to do it is typically in a 3gen or at the last gen scenario
Yes the meta is easier, community cup is not a good display of skill, theres no barrier of entry lol, you have genuine comp players who play for a job and a group of 5 pals
Anecdotal strawman, nice.
Woah, Maps arent balanced and with rng, which is a core component of the game, never will truly be, who guessed.
lol.

Because DS was a perfect tunnelling counter before. /s
disabling it on touching gens/totems/hooks/gates etc is a good change, leave the 5s stun (debatable if it should be 6, since it takes one second to be dropped depending on ping) and leave the 60 second timer. If you get hit with it late, that survivor has been useless for almost a minute and has done nothing productive
Otherwise, it does a pretty good job at countering tunneling for the most part

Depends on which nerf.
Nerf so that it doesn't activate in the EndGame? Nope.
Nerf so that it's always active regardless of what you work on? Nope.
Nerf so that it can be popped whenever? Nope.
But if you mean reverting it to 5 seconds, sure, I'm all for that one. To be perfectly honest, it's not going to dissuade me from tunneling very much.
Revert it to 5 seconds, and as I said above, arguably make it 6 since it takes one second to drop you off the shoulder. I agree with ohtofu though with some endgame changes to anti tunneling perks. https://twitter.com/OhTofuOfficial/status/1622139014185684993?s=20&t=n51YyF3kuhNi7jX2sNdz7g

If I got more BP for being camped or tunneled and didn't de-pip, it would help lessen the sting.
However, I do not think it would do anything to actually make people feel better about it. It's still a very strong strategy and while receiving BP and not de-piping is nice, if I'm getting tunneled or camped multiple games in a row; I'm just gonna find something better to play.
We should absolutely be looking to fix tunneling and camping. This means re-balancing the entire game and I just don't think BHVR wants to do that, even if it would be the better choice.
or just undo the nerf to decisive. Some of y'all either werent around for ds, or forgot about it, and I think one good patch with old Decisive will stop tunneling for a while lol

Eh...
On one hand - yeah, it's a bit silly.
On the other hand - half the killer roster is in an 'okay' place, barring an addon pass or two.

It was -50 yesterday.
It's -30 today.
Is it still cold today?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3336708#Comment_3336708
Yeah, but let's look at those.
- Eyrie...still a strong map. But you've also seen Borgo added, which is horrible on the weakest killers in the game and Garden of Joy which can have an effective infinite.
- Basekit bonus regression and gen speed means diddly squat - because they also buffed 'faster gen' perks out the wazoo, left PTS as is and then added the abominations of hyperfocus and fogwise which...why? Gens, under certain conditions, can be faster than they were before the chances.
- On top of this, nearly all killer regression was nerfed. So you've got (potentially) faster gens and less options for dealing with it.
- The 'hit speed' buffs were a mixed bag, because they only changed M1s. Meaning that some killers that were really struggling, like Demo, were effectively nerfed.
- What other killer buffs were added 'recently?'.
- A realm beyond was ages ago.
- Most...nerfs...ugh. The issue isn't the stupidly OP stuff getting slight tweaks (which is...generally reserved for survivor perks - see Dead Hard), it's mildly OP stuff being nerfed into complete uselessness. See: Thana. Ruin. Overcharge. And almost certainly Eruption.
The gen kick meta is the easiest killer has ever been, its genuinely mind numbingly easy most of the time
PTS only saves 5 seconds if the survivors were on the gen for the entire duration, uninterrupted.
How many Hyperfocus Stakeout built to last commodious have you really seen? Ive seen maybe one or two, and I know most people who run the perk dont even get full value due to rng and simply missing the skillcheck.
Killer is genuinely easy right now for the most part. Some maps are bad, but there are a lot of good killer maps too. Also, youre complaining about fogwise? Next youll say Resilience is too strong because it lets you o gens 10% faster when injured

Thank you! this one had me puzzled

More like buffed, nerfed, nerfed, slightly buffed, nerfed, Shadow nerfed, buffed in a fun way, followed by an nearly instantly reverse plus making it worse then ever before, because it was deemed "too unfun to verse". Then nothing happens for a while, till the next new map release sends every killer spiraling into depression.
Are you.. just.. ignorant of the changes?
Eyrie nerf, basekit bonus regression, a buff to generator regression, a buff to hit speed, survivors lost half of the speed they got on hit, maps were made generally smaller with realm beyond, a lot of killers have been touched up, more slowdown and build maneuverability than ever.. Killers get buffed a lot recently. Most 'nerfs' are stupidly broken stuff, like 7 blink nurse.

As much as I defend the eruption, I'm not a big fan of it, and if the eruption were removed right now, I wouldn't be hurt too much (don't you dare touch jolt)
but the fact that we take away strong toys from only 1 side makes me very sad
eruption isnt a fun toy its a "Hey, you had no idea of knowing for sure when someone could go down, you can now do nothing for 30 seconds"

"As the game has grown, hundreds of outfits have been added to the store. Where one outfit used to be a major addition, these days it is just one of many to choose from. By vaulting these holiday themed cosmetics, we hope to simplify the store and make these seasonal offerings more meaningful when they return each year. (Do not fear: We guarantee they will return!)"

I would say it's an issue not due to efficiency but due to commitment. Being able to reliably and repeatably do gens in that little time with two people leaves little room for the killer the defend the gen or interrupt it. Unlike toolboxes, the perk has no upper limit on how much it can be used but unlike resilience or fast track, it can be used right out the gate. If it only worked early due to having capped usage or late due to needing to be earned, which could be a funny play on words given its name, I wouldn't mind it or if it was a little slower but doing a gen in that time repeatably is a bit much. Maybe it's a play-style thing and against other players it's not too bad but it's not something you can exactly adapt to in a match because you never have a solid idea on if they have it unless it's too late. Hyperfocus is inconsistent when you try to use it due to needing to get skill checks, resilience doesn't work early game and toolboxes have limited use, prove doesn't really have any of these things though. Not saying it's the end of the world biggest problem ever but suggesting it gets changed isn't unreasonable. I will say however, it's a perk that is useful for breaking 3 gens which I can appreciate being in the game.
PT only saves about 5 seconds if you two man the entire gen, literally only really useful in late game or to break 3 gen, always more effective to split up on gens

Better to play as, still some of the worst game design this game has seen and miserable to face

Playing Killer I still see Dead Hard constantly so it's pretty clear the nerf it got wasn't enough considering it's still almost universally used by most survivors.
Being able to take a hit, even though most can't time it right, is still just useful, especially compared to options with other exhaustion perks.
Sprint burst does it better though as you can literally just outrun the hit, no one uses it effectively though.

- FOMO
- It's only been event related cosmetics that have become FOMO, Idk where you're getting all cosmetics from
Anything new, as of Project W almost, has had some sense of time gated, and if this continues, we will lose another ~10ish% of the shop with the summer collection, and another good chunk with the halloween collection. Genuinely will be left with not a ton, which is ridiculous. This game isnt fortnite, there's no reason to timegate it whatsoever.
-
@HeyItsQuiet said:
My biggest issue is them removing old seasonal cosmetics for no reason. This isn't Fortnite. You don't have millions upon millions of players to keep happy with new rotations of skins. There's 100% no reason to remove old cosmetics other than to milk us like cash cows.
Not only that, but even though they promised to release all new skins for unlicensed characters to be available for purchase with Iri Shards, what they're doing is releasing them as limited time, holiday cosmetics and those don't count. We will be forced to buy those with Auric cells unless we want to wait for next year's round of BS.
I'm not buying anything with Auric Cells anymore because of this policy change. There's no advantage to participating in this predatory behavior from a game that isn't even Free To Play. Nobody asked for this and I hope nobody supports it.
Exactly my point.
-
Games go by faster because most just want out of the nurse game but don't want a penalty.
So sit on a gen till you can give up on hook!
-
Aw yeah! No nurse or pinhead till it's on again.

Thanks for that, I played a game with your suggestions and got closer to getting the five hits than ever before. So, thanks! Any counter for when survivors hop in a locker during feral frenzy?
Grab them. Also, in my opinion, The Game is the best map for this build. Midwhich is far more linear and gives them much more ability to run away, you can probably brute force it better on the game. Best of luck!

Dumb question, but did you actually restart your game?
Yes, this usually comes up when it's a bhvr issue. Everyone who lives around me that I know is also having this issue on the same platform. Its a fairly infuriating bug as it just comes and goes and has no way to be fixed, really.

You mean the meta where you do nothing but patrol a 3 gen with four gen slowdowns, than disproportionately makes soloqueue miserable, that is the worst meta we've ever seen.. okay lol.
If this is a "survivor op, wahh" even at the top now, the competitive level that plays for money, typically plays a variety of killers (Dredge, recently!) And usually ends in 2+ kills. Survivor isnt as strong as you think, and not everyone is begging for "every slowdown to get nerfed" most soloqueue just want eruption to be changed so you're not doing nothing for 30 seconds every time you're hit, and a more healthy meta that rewards being good at the game and not babysitting a 3 gen.
-
If you had two out, with two to go, and kills ACTUALLY mattered to you for some ungodly reason, you could've dropped chase when the survivor clearly showed they were going to play like this, and find the other one possibly in a worse scenario.
Instead, you focused, probably didn't do many mindgames, just kicked every single one instantly, and then lost then came here to complain.
Yes, you'll lose some, sometime slowdown feels necessary, and it is, but there's no need for four.
I usually run just pop, or maybe pain res, and then three chase perks and normally end the game with 9 or 10 hooks, 2-3 kills.
Just accept you won't 4k everytime, realistically you should be 4king less then ~60% of the time, even if you're fairly good.

@WeakestNurseMain said:
If you factor in every single killer vs an optimal team then yes it is, but you're forgetting that not every survivor is playing optimally, so you can't say that the game is sided in either direction, also rng tiles and maps can completely change the game. Try playing Nurse in Lery's vs stealthy survivors, literally the worst experience I've ever had playing a video game, now try playing survivor with 3 solo queue teammates vs 4 slowdown Wesker, also a very bad experience.
Even in the highest level of play it's not that survivor sided anymore, most tourneys end up in 2k 2 escape now, it's arguably the healthiest it's been for a while, aside from a poor killer meta.
-
I sure do hate second chance hand holding perks too!
Like eruption, NOED, call of brine+Overcharge, 4 slowdowns holding a three gen all game.. they should really nerf these, they make the game too easy!
-

I think they were pretty busy with the perk overhaul. Might be coming back to update/balance the recent killers if needed (Sadako needs it according to popular opinion (I don't play her so I wouldn't know), but I don't see a lot of people saying Artist should get anything) now that the big update is out ?
It's not necessarily that they need changes, rather that even just acknowledgement they're happy with where the killer is is enough.
Just weird it's radio silence.
-
Note; do not attack behavior or make this into something about balance. Just curious.
