    1) Spirit doesn't need to predict anything, she has visual and audio cues to help find survivors, survivors don't know if she's even using her power or not.

    2) Spirit is one of the least add-on reliant killers in the game, as a Spirit main myself I don't even remember the last time I bothered bringing add-ons and yet I still get 3-4 kills almost every match.

Well obviously we disagree, so that's cool, let's keep it civil.

    1) Against good survivors, she does need to predict. Survivors CAN hear her ability, I don't know why you don't think they can. There is only one add on that makes it hearable across the whole map instead to fool survivors where she is I believe, but survivors either way know exactly when she is using her power or not. Audio for spirit needs to be heavily relied on, which works best when the survivor is injured, which, let's be honest, is true for every killer, so in reality, spirit is no further ahead here. The scratch marks are the visual cue, but if a good survivor hears the phase sound, it's easy to stop running or trick her into a different direction.

    2) Against good survivors I don't see it. Don't get me wrong, spirit's base power is great but far from godly. It's too slow without add-ons and too long to regenerate when playing against experienced players.

  • You bring up a good point. The only fix NOED needs could be to light it up from the start. That way survivors know what's coming, and if they don't clear it, they all deserve to die. That said...

I think NOED is fine. You don't do the totems and rush gens, you deserve the punishment that follows. Ideally, you always want to be a killer that doesn't let 5 gens ever finish though.

  • Gotta agree with OP on this one. Spirit is one of my favorite killers amongst many, and I consider myself a pretty good killer player (able to hit red ranks though I don't play that regularly now to do so).

That said, I don't see her at all as a god tier killer, pre patch or now. Red rank survivors together, or even purple, should have the upper hand. You have to predict where she is going to be, just as she has predict where you are. Successful jukes while others are on gen is all it takes really. That, and she's pretty heavily add-on reliant against any survivor with a brain.

  • I love ideas like this. At least maybe as a seperate playlist once in a while. I've often wondered the same thing.

  • Lots of good points. Hag seems to be a prime choice.

Making the game difficult (which is what killers are supposed to do by the way), doesn't make the game "less playable". What I'm saying is that you're sitting here, just complaining about him, rather than asking for advice and feedback like you should be doing. Contrary to what you are saying, Doc does not make skill checks impossible. He makes them harder. He in no way makes it impossible to ever hit the skill check. So yes, if you are having trouble hitting against his skill checks, then yes, it is an experience thing. And that's perfectly okay. Not liking going against it is okay too. Claiming it's impossible when it is possible isn't okay, though.

With the rework now, there's a few things you can do now against new Doctor that you couldn't even do against old doctor:

    1. Ignore healing for generator progress. Risky of course, but sometimes that is what is needed to get that one generator completed.
    2. 99% snap out of it so you can do actions you want when you need to do them at a tap of a button, and the Doctor will not be able reset your madness progress or your snap out of it progress. This way when you begin repairing, you will only be in Madness 1, which makes the madness skill checks appear only 33% of the time and most of your afflictions will be gone. Much easier to manage.
    3. Use lockers to not get hit by his shock blast and repair in the middle of those cooldowns. Especially easy to tell if he has his shock blast up when his terror radius is huge with both distressing and a "Calm" add-on since it becomes quite large. Otherwise, begin counting down in your head when you hear him use it.

I'd suggest you try playing a number of games as the doctor with the build you're having difficulty facing against and observe how other survivors play against you, so you can learn from them and get a few ideas on how to play against it. I assure you, it's not nearly as "impossible to play against" as you claim it is.

THIS 100%. Best comment ever for DBD

  • 1. Wraith. Nothing is more terrifying and heartpounding than the bing bong of the bell right next to you, ESPECIALLY if that bell is silenced.

    2. Doctor. I find it so fun and challenging to go against a killer than is normally so anti-stealth.

    3. Huntress. The unique challenge of avoiding those ranged attacks, especially if one goes right past your head from across the map from a good killer player.

  • Literally same thing levels of red ranks happened against me last night, but my killer stat was at 12.

Ever since Oni was released, I've had this thought in my head of the Minotaur, in a Labyrinth style map. It would be pretty terrifying to see that thing charging at you, Billy-esque, especially now that breakable walls are a thing. Or Medusa could work, though I can't fathom how stone gaze would be implemented.

Love the idea of a minotaur, although it could be an excellent Oni skin instead. The game needs a vampire!! I mean, that's horror 101!!

  • Survivor: Having to do generators. Just the most annoying thing ;)

  • First Reason: The rush and thrill of the chase.

Second: I just don't take the game seriously enough to worry usually. I'm a good killer overall, but the game's not worth trying to play competitively. It's not a tournament.

  • Wraith, hands down. Nothing beats that sheer terror of the first Bing Bong out of nowhere when you or your friend screams over the mic that they just found out who the killer is, the hard way.

ESPECIALLY if that bell is silent.

it would be too complicated to new players(and for devs they are priority) + explain to newbie you cant use your perk in casual game

real time ban phase wouldnt be solution either (its not competitive game) and majority of community wouldnt want to wait even longer for game (+ ppl would leave during that because his perk was banned)

I see, but I'm not talking about ever straight up not allowing a perk to be used, just a specific perk not being allowed to used with another specific perk. It should have no effect on new players because of the severe lack of perk combinations available to them.
