Finally, someone with some brains. However, with all the current changes they need to balance towards the 1% not 5.

Let them implement it. I would like to see what happens. My guess is that the next kill rates will be quite a bit lower than the last, which should lead to further and hopefully more specific killer buffs in return.
So, What? wait 6 months to a year for them to do something about it? in the meantime, plays killer just to get every match that feels like a SWF or a tourney team(cringe) that plays every match like an esport

I will clarify here, we've not said what we will look into fully, just given a hint at ONE thing...please do not make this a "this is getting nerfed so this should as well" discussion, when you do not yet have all the information. Yes we are currently looking at Eruption, pretty sure our Design Team is looking at other perks also.
To be fair, that lack of communication to the other portion of the played base is why the devs get criticized, ridiculed and called incompetent or biased.

DH was already massively nerfed
And yet, it is still a problem.

It takes time to learn killer, don't sweat it. That being said killer is insanely frustrating right now (as is survivor), and your matches will eventually be ridiculously easy stomps or sweatfests.
So, you know.
At the moment though just worry about having fun and learning your killer.
Having fun kind of went out the door with the insane level of hand holding that bhvr has given survivors

And those perks would not save you a bit against a nurse you can't counter without them. But do you actually know there are other killer then nurse in this game?
I love how people like you want busted perks back and try to defend that quite insane demand with "OH but nurs iS bUsTeD" yeah she is that's a whole other problem you don't want them back to fight nurse you want them back to bullie weaker killers with it and you don't have the spine to atleast be honest
Couldn't of said it better myself.

What on earth does that have to do with anything? That's like someone getting the tip "try to break LOS and be unpredictable" vs Nurse (which is a good general tip!) and they just say "Hard to do when the Nurse has wallhacks" in response.
Any issues someone has that can be considered balance issues is completely seperate to concerns of cheaters and anticheat solutions.
I was using huntress.

Oh so now we're adding in subtle hacking like that doesn't impact both sides and was never a part of the original argument you put forward?
Moving the goalposts much
That was my experience. Hacking has been a problem for a while. Seems redundant to post about it now. The players in my game was moving faster than they should be,

Hard to do with subtle speed hacks

I would consider myself high mmr survivor based on the type of killers I face and sweaty teamates I get (sometimes of course this won't be the case and I will get your average self care Claudette and Bill who will run from the opposite side of the map to farm me) and the amount of times this perk straight up changed the outcome of the match is actually unbelievable and those were matches where everyone was doing good so the killer was not some noob and my teamates had a brain
it's basically at the most tense point of the match 1/2 gens left some people are on death hook, we have someone running the killer with limited pallets left and the rest of us are being smart by staying injured and just pushing those last 1/2 gens that are at 80-90% and then bam - the killer gets the down and 25 seconds no one can do #########
as everyone here with experience in this game knows, every second in the match is crucial, especially near the end where everyone must play perfectly if it's a close call.
This perk needs to change, it's way too powerful, it should be either just 10% off the gen or just the status effect, but both is borderline oppressive
Just like dead hard carrying across the board, yeah I know.

Is it actually that big? It didn't feel all that much larger than the average size for a map the few times I've played on it so far.
Ever since Eyrie of Crows I've learned to be a bit suspicious when people start saying a map is supposedly gigantic, lol.
Okay, survivor.

Dead hard just needs to be straight up scrapped.

Not every killer is weak except for nurse, you have killers like blight, artist, and spirit that are strong.
Not everyone plays on comms.
Not every map is flawed, and some maps even favor killers.
I agree with second chance perks being used, but it is like arguing with killers spamming slowdown perks.

it's still possible to bait it out, you're saying if they know how to use it DIRECTLY after saying it takes no skill to use it, which is very contradictory you can't be both mad at it for being lazy, as well as being uncounterable because people are skilled with it. tilt your head up, do a sudden movement, there are a lot of ways to bait it out, they will have to use it eventually, or you will have to swing, it's entirely possible, I do it a lot, and if someone gets a good DH yknow what I do? I give them props because I know I sure as hell can't do that
My original post got removed twice so i stopped caring but comparing dbd to a fighting game is stupidity

Dead Hard is actually one of the few perks that changed its meta while still being the same perk icon. Instead of just shifting the usages around like DS/IW merging to OTR, giving BT basekit, trading gen slowdown perks for gen kick perks, and most of the other changes that didn't address the root causes of the issues, Dead Hard actually did.
They removed the lose/lose situation usage, and converted it from a "press x to correct mistake" to a "press x at the right time to slap the killer's hit away and assert dominance over their blade wipe while gaining distance as a reward." It went from a dodge to a parry in terms of its function, and raised both the skill floor and ceiling to boot. It requires more skill, has more direct interaction, more counterplay potential and more mindgame potential all at once. The animation/icon/name might be recycled, but everything else about it is wildly different. The only reason its still meta is because good players learned how to adapt (just like most meta changes,) but it was one that directly tackled why DH used to be meta (and most importantly, didn't replace that with the same issue elsewhere)
pressing a button for a second chance in mid chase is not what i would call skill. it still extends chases to other tiles. they removed the lose/lose? it is still lose/lose if they know how to use it and still problematic majority of the time. old dh and rencent do the exact same thing, extend chases, it is just less annoying.

unbreakable is literally going to be base kit, that's not a meta perk, dead hard is counterable, I'll give you adrenaline, and if it happened the 5 times, don't you think you could've brought a map offering the 6th time, instead of complaining about it? you'd think you'd learn by the 6th time, but it just seems you're using that as a number for favors, you don't try to counter or put any effort into making your own life easier, you put all that pressure on the devs to do it for you.
and like many people have said, it's truly up to the players to decide the meta, self-care is the worst perk in the entire game, yet Asia-pacific servers have it as the #1 most used perk in the game. also isn't there only 1 "op" map, Gideon's meat plant? like there aren't many maps that I would consider "OP" besides Gideons, are you telling me they took you to Gideons 6 times? lot of holes in your story, kind of get the impression you're not really telling the truth
Your experience is not mine. it is also frustrating when you're in games with blatant and subtle hacks running these perks. Fractured cowshed 3x disturbed ward 2x and meat plant with low tier ######### killer. 3 were map offerings.
-
DH does not need a nerf, it needs to be reworked entirely. Too many second chances in the game. The META is still second chances and gen regression/slowdown. Nothing has changed and 6.1.0 was a placebo.

I feel like Eruption is way too strong for Solo Q but too weak for SWF. The point of the perk is to buy the killer more time, but it feels really unfair to play against when you play for yourself. 20 seconds of nothing is huge in that scenario. On the other hand people can just call out "I am going down" so the perk loses all meaning. I feel Eruption need changes in both ways.
Considering survivor has 2 soon to be 3 meta perks on base, how about no
-
5+ years of nonsense from this dev team. it is unacceptable

@Pumpkinbros said:
hey calm down a bit, they definitely shook it up, no ones running bt, no ones running decisive,
self care is only meta in eastern servers
more people are exploring different builds
The past 6 game that i have played they all ran dh, unbreakable and adrenaline on OP maps

That would be a waste of time,we don't even get full 60 FPS unless it's PS5/Xbox One X ๐

There are plenty of effective exhaustion perks that will split the difference. They're just not as effective as Dead Hard. Maybe the rates will rise in the short-term, but wherever it settles won't be too egregiously different from where it is now.
I disagree. I also don't like the fact that survivors have multiple second chances to fix their mistakes and get, when a killer makes a mistake it is almost always a game over for them.

Yes, survivors complaining about it. The topic is Dead Hard not Ruin. Perhaps, you could say something useful instead of focusing in on the remake I made about Ruin.
