That's a really cool concept
-
That's weird
-
I haven't heard anything official about them adding skins from one to the other but it'd be cool
-
I haven't experienced that but hopefully someone on here will have answers for you
-
I like that idea 👍
-
Idk, could possibly be fine but it would initially drastically change the game.
-
That's an interesting idea
-
Cool idea 👍
-
That'd be cool, if it's all just cosmetic.
-
I hope they add it

I'm sorry, you clearly don't understand that BHVR will shove you into any server no matter how far away you are from that server. You'll always find a game.
That's not really my point or exactly how it works but whatever

PROBLEM:
Big amount of one-sided games without change of leading opportunity. Leads to scenarios when you already lost but need to keep playing few more minutes or DC. Often caused by lucky/unlucky beginning.
SOLUTION:
Having flexible repair speed on generators (based on generators repaired/survivors died/hookstages) would balance SWF, SoloQ and Killer games and make the game reacher.
- For every generator repaired, Survivors would get (x)% repair speed penalty.
- For every hook stage, Survivors would reverse (y)% repair speed penalty up to 0%.
- For every Survivor dead, Survivors would get (z)% repair speed boost.
NEW POSSIBILITIES:
- Situations with 4 gens 2 survivors would be winnable.
- Situations with 1 gen 4 survivors would be winnable.
- Situations with 1 gen 1 survivor, when repairing gen instead of finding hatch is good enough option.
I like the direction there 👍
-
You do know the current emblem system is purely for bloodpoints once a month, right?

What does the country they live in have to do with ANYTHING lmao
I'm sorry, you clearly didn't read their post or don't understand how games work. Dead by daylight has things called servers. If live a certain distance from said servers you won't have much of a chance of finding a game.
-
Well this isn't the right place to ask about it. The dbdmobile discord would be best. I could explain why that happened to you but I suggest trying to find an indepth YouTube video about it or looking though the past 6months to a year posts on dbdmobile's socials, like Instagram.
-
Have you tried contacting behavior?
-
I think that's a good idea and could actually work 👍. Plus they already have that tech with the Spirit's ability.
-
They'll probably never do that. What country do you live in?

In games at high mmp very often there are patis of 4 people who communicate on discord. Usually such groups are engaged in gen rush. And therein lies the problem. You are literally destroyed because the generators wind up in 30-40 seconds and there is nothing you can do about it. A normal foot killer can only try to tunnel but often even that fails. I myself often play as a nurse and I have to try VERY hard to do -2. Playing against a pack and playing against randoms are two different games. In the first case you have to try really hard to do anything. In the second case, it's a normal game that is fun without suffering. I propose to reduce the number of maximum allowed friends in the lobby to 2. That is, to replace a pack of 4 survivors with a pack of 2 survivors + 2 random survivors. This would solve a lot of problems and make it much easier and more enjoyable for killers to play because there would be no more incredibly fast fixing generators and toxic survivor behavior. Instead there will be calm and enjoyable matches. Right now high mmp games bring nothing but misery and oppression, I don't play games to be humiliated by 4 survivors on discord
That's actually a descent direction to deal with people using outside voice communications why playing dbd.

Firstly, I think Boons in general should have a visible outline so you can see clearly how far the range goes
New Perk Idea, Boon: Protector of Pain:
All Survivors benefit from the following effects when inside the Boon Totem's radius:
- Endurance Status Effect
- This effect lingers for 1/2/3 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem's range.
Once the Totem is snuffed, the Perk gets disabled for the remainder of the match.
New Perk Idea, Bless Unleashed
- Increases the radius of all Boon effects emanating from yourself by 8/12/16 metres.
Definitely interesting. Fairly balanced since you only can use it once but I think that also makes it really bad but then again people use deadhard and head on which against a good killer only gets one good use a match. So maybe it's ok. I like the idea tho for both perks 👍
-
Interesting take that could possibly work. But like one person mentioned people could create new accounts and go up against new players when them themselves aren't new at the game. I couldn't think of any major issues but it'd be better if they get the current match making system truly working for once. I know it's not an easy thing to do, even for huge studios with way more employees but the games been out for 7+ years and I've never seen it work properly.
People have mentioned the new system is purely based on escaping/not escaping and 4ks/no 4k, which is a horrible system even it is working properly. There's so much else that goes into the average game.

I think Myers is a killer that would be good to have a rework but on a business side I don't think they'll do it.

There are no more ranks. There are only grades, which do not influence matchmaking. Their only function is to determine how many bps you get when the monthly reset happens. Matchmaking is solely influenced by an invisible mmr number that is not reset.
Exactly
@Seraphor said:
Grades don't mean anything, they dont affect matchmaking, they don't indicate skill, they literally only exist to work towards a BP dump each month.
No one is being 'thrown into a pot every 13th' because grades don't do anything.

so have this as proof of claim.
Once you have a character p3 only their tier 3 perks will show up on others, you don't have to get tier 1 and 2 anymore.

That would be fine.
I feel like it'd be cool as hell if he could have a single knife-throw after earning 3 or 4 marked downs (like in Scream 3)
The whole "I can only chase you with a knife" thing is pretty mundane.
Knife throw base kit rework could be interesting 🤔 maybe something like you have 1? Throwing knife which either does one health state (similar to huntress hatchet) or it would apply deep wound effect but worse in some way.(would be inside the survivor, they would have to remove it in some fashion, then it would drop on the ground and aura of throwing knife shown to Ghostface, so he could retrieve it). And maybe while you did/or didn't have the throwing knife (Ghostface) you could/or couldn't stealth/stalk. Not sure which way it should be(if you can stalk/stealth while you do have or if you can while you dont).
-
From a killer and survivor perspective I personally think he's fine and doesn't need changes but the movement speed after exposing someone could be cool and fun 👍

I feel as if you have missed my point as well.
my entire purpose is to prevent from a player who has a large advantage over another individual to essentially be able to bait a lesser-leveraged player (in this case, the killer) into a match. These survivors commonly use a low leveled dwight, then SWITCH over to their higher and much more effective built character in order to ANGLERFISH/BAIT the killer into a match they normally would not choose to well-- stay in.
It's basically survivors using a one-sided mechanic in order to gain an advantage on the killer who is unprepared in certain situations. I could give less cares about however long you've played. I've played since then awell. On Console AND pc. It's an issue that's becoming more and more ignored the more people focus on the Developers attempting to create more and more content to push a wheel that's spinning to fast. Does that make sense?
Ok. Putting aside time played. People's individual character inventory at prestige3 can be full perks and stacked with all items just the same as p100 is our point. So seing a p100 character shouldn't make you think or feel any different than seeing a p3 character.
-
I actually don't remember that, not saying it isn't true. That's interesting but sensible.
Like I mentioned on the other post skilled based matchmaking nor mmr has ever worked in dbd from my experience. I really wish matchmaking worked properly though. It'd fis some issues and negate a lot of people arguments and hopefully teach them to get better at the game.
One can only dream.
-
Really great idea 👍

I was operating off of the wiki which I kind of just assumed was correct
Ah, ok. Yeah the Trapper got an overhaul rework to his add-ons sometime in the past couple years. I do like the aura approach to his power. I was thinking maybe they could make his trap not injure survivors trap by them. When a survivor gets trapped they can free themselves at a base 10seconds (maybe) and once they're free they have deep wounds which they have to mend. It'd work just like all other deep wounds. But they would be healthy unless they let the deep wounds timer run out and they'd be put into the dying state. On the killer side though, the aura of all survivors in traps are constantly shown to you(meaning once they're out of the trapp he no longer sees their aura). Being the base of his kit. Probably would have to add something else along with it though. If he hits someone who is affected by deep wounds due to his traps then they'll only lose one health state. Of course most of his add-ons would get changed to longer trapped times and others effects.(Like what you described) Be a cool direction.
-
Another thing to mention is that as long as I've been playing Dead by daylight (since the year 3 anniversary, along with watching a bunch of gameplay since its beta) the mmr system has never worked properly sadly, from my experience.

"Hello, dear readers. You've stumbled upon my post because of your curiosity of what this is about."
- Not curious, just appalled.
"Many a-killer-main has experienced this frustration: entering a match with same-ranked individuals who have a similar prestige to themselves and felt confidence in their ability to have a fun and fair match. Well, then the survivors turn out to switch their character over to one of a higher prestige, inevitably revealing that they are indeed not on the same playing grounds."
- Prestige doesn't equal skill.
"This, obviously is a conundrum as killers -- for absolutely no reason at all in a logical sense or mechanic sense -- have no way to counter this because many of these people, usually groups of Survive with friends players who are able to co-ordinate and effectively engage in what is known as "Killer bullying"."
- There is no such thing. If you let them "bully" you, that's a you problem. Don't play the way they want you to play. Problem solved.
"These survivors probably have most of the meta perks in their arsenal usually, and continue to grow their amount of perks as the chapters advance -- not only allowing for new killer mains and old killer mains alike unable to switch over to the killer they are most comfortable with or the best one that is good at countering the gameplay harassment killers experience."
- You can lobbyshop as a killer. As a surv, I don't know WHO I'm facing, let alone their ping.
"Killers should not be restricted in a way survivors are not -- as they can freely switch between the lowest leveled survivor they have as a way to fool the killer into feeling comfortable with the matchup before switching over to their prestige bloody 26 to have their purple flashlights and their usual slander of meta, unbalanced perks in order to essentially harass killers endlessly and to never allow them to secure a single confirmed or even a hook at times."
- Survivors are glorified skins. Meatbags if you will. No survivor has a fixed power or survivorspecific addons. Your train of thought doesn't add up.
"I'm sure this makes no sense, but if killers are restricted then so should survivors in order to prevent this behavior in the game as I have noticed that killers have to literally watch out for this just to be able to have fun in the game."
- You are right. This makes zero sense. So why do you even ask for this?
"most BASIC mechanics"
- Yeah, what mechanics are you talking about? Your MMR that is too high for you?
"Balance does not and will not exist in the game until something is done in order to be placed down as a simple platform for the in-match mechanics"
- It is a 1v4 partygame. You can't balance 1v4s. Not the way you want it to be balanced at least.
- You may ask BHVR to work on their matchmaking and MMR, but that's about it.
"Survivors need to be treated the same as the killer in the aspect of being a player"
- And here you are, speaking lots without saying anything. If you want to balance the player, you have to make it a 1v1. Only then can you pit skilllevel against skilllevel.
- I personally don't mind running into people that have 30x my playtime. And it doesn't matter to me if they are a P3 or a P100. If they only run in a straight line without looking behind them, they obviously belong in the MMR range I queue into (Clarification: this was a generalized point. It usually doesn't happen but hey). This counts on surv as well as on killer side.
- IMHO there are more pressing matters. So just learn, take the L once in a while. You won't get better if you only play against people on your or below your skilllevel.
- Another edit: This isn't meant to bash your opinion, it's just always the same. You guys keep asking for the wrong things, taking away dev time that would be better used otherwise. But I get it. It would be the easy way out instead of just putting the time in to get better.
Exactly.
OP- One thing I'll mention is with the current amount of characters in the game (survivors or killer) on average it'll take 2 to 5 prestiges to unlock all perks on everyone, as I say on average. I understand your argument about skill but you only can see the one character they have selected, so all their other characters could be prestige 0 or prestige 100. My point being you shouldn't care either way.(I'll refer to you to re-read ScytheIX post).
-
Interesting. Not taking the add-on changes into consideration, I think most of the core changes would be really cool add-ons(but there would be one more obvious broken combo with the current purple bag that allows you to carry all traps at the beginning). Otherwise I think it's definitely a cool direction.
'A minute later'
They've made some of these changes to the Trapper already, I believe. (Unless they reverted them). I'm really confused now. Do you actually play mobile instead of the main game? I might be confusing the two trapper versions but I believe the main game got the rework to trapper a while back that changed some of those add ons already.
-
I understand if a player is new it can seem like not enough and even overwhelming not achievable with all of the different characters in the game now but overall currently you can earn between 40,000 and 250,000ish points in each game. I understand you won't always have lot of blood points offerings being sacrificed by teammates every game, along with people sometimes forgetting to equip new things when they used all of a certain offering in this case. But between 1.5, 2, and 3x blood point weekends, and weeks sometimes, you can grind them pretty easy if you set your mind to it. Recently they also decrease the cost of things in the blood web. Even though it can seem like a hassle and people don't want to realize, a big part of enjoyment for the average person in games is the "grind".
-
I actually think that's something along the right path to deal with people using voice communications.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong bc I haven't used pop in a bit but doesn't it have a timer?(unless they removed it) Plus pr can affect any Gen across the entire map, right?(haven't used it yet)
-
@Starlight1 said:
Left for dead was an achievement made back when hatch did not close, and you would be able to finish a generator and then open the gates, however now that hatch can be shut it is nearly impossible to finish a generator and open the exit gate without a friendly killer letting you. This achievement should be reworked to be: As the last survivor remaining, open the exit gate and escape. This removes the need to finish the last generator as well and will make this achievement 10x easier and actually plausible in the modern day era of the game.
Well, even though that one should be updated, it in rare cases can be done. They're 2 or 3 other trophies, can't remember which ones. That are truly impossible to get done bc of some of the changes over the years. I'm pretty sure a couple are the map specific generator trophies. "Do a certain generator and escape" is the basics of them. A couple of the maps main gens were redone and move to different location so you can't complete those specific trophies anymore (as far as I'm aware).
-
If you're playing killer well. And you understand how boiled over works, then you'd know that it benefits the killer more then the survivor bc it allows the killer to get to hooks faster. I won't explain for you but someone else may or you can find a video about it on YouTube.
-
@Dreh said:
It's simply the worst map for killers overall, and it feels like it was made back in 2016. You break one pallet, and three more magically appear. There's nothing you can do, it's not fun, it's not balanced. Please, reconsider this map.
Yeah, that's one the maps where it's most noticeable that the changes to pallet, gens, totems spawns (that they've done over the years) wasn't done for some reason. Hopefully they overhaul the spawns of things on the "newer" maps like the did with the old ones.

Nope, they changed Thrill when boons came out. They wanted to make sure survivors didn't get interrupted while booning their totems. They just changed thrill to make it take longer to cleanse/boon
I was not aware of that, that really sucks

It would take a lot of testing and balancing but I think it's an ok direction 👍. Definitely interesting

No, they are not.
I have been playing for 3 years and they are same or worse.
Only indoor maps have some decent totem spawns.
If you think totem spawns are better, then go check Eyrie of Crows. Some totem spawns are so bad I want to cleanse them myself.
You can have totem like 1 meter next to a generator inside one of those sand pits...
Like I said maps released since they redid totem spawns having gotten the same treatment
-
Solid ideas
-
Would be a nice change overall, don't know if it'll happen any time soon.
-
Might actually happen in the coming years
-
I think that is a very solid rework 👍. Percentages will probably have to be tweaked in one way or another but really good idea.
-
Ok so in simplest terms I think the overall idea and direction of those chances are really cool but the balance is way too strong. They would have to be adjusted/tested heavily and probably have all of the perk affects tomed down significantly, and lots of testing done. Like I said tho, that's such a cool idea.
-
Many people have been wanting some kind of trade in/up or recycling system in the game for years, including myself but sadly hasn't happened. I hope it does soon though.
