There was a forum on the survivor side that was about a guy who depipped from being chased for all 5 gens and killers were in there telling him it's his fault for not losing the killer /shrug
-
I love playing Michael because it brings that creepy horror/suspense to this game that is supposed to be a horror game. Now I don't enjoy everything about Michael(Tombstone is ######### stupid), but probably one of the most iconic killers in the genre, and I don't feel he disappoints in the game.
Also my gratitude for not going 100% on one single survivor left to fend for himself. BP for everyone is a great time when the game fails to deliver quality.
-
My favorite is the part where cosmetics are still being rushed out while there are still more important things the game needs to fix to be stable. Would rather see development go to rebalancing the meta, the freddy rework, dedicated servers sooner than expected, etc.
Don't get me wrong the cosmetics look great, but hard to appreciate how my character looks when I can't even have a consistent playing experience.
-
I think reset is a fine concept. But I do think it would be better if it was once every 2-3 months or something longer than 1 month
-
I burnt a cake and Killer lost Lullaby within 30 seconds of the game starting, then DC'd. Not only does my cake basically go to waste(only an extra 5k), but this is just as bad as survivors who DC and I can't wait for servers to bring heavier handed consequences for this behavior.
-
The percentage of pure 4 man SWF that "ruin" this game is not very high. And if there was no SWF mode in this game, it would die. Because running solo survivor is one of the worst parts of this game right now.
-
I used to love Iron Will. But it's one of those perks where you didn't know if it worked or not. Like a killer might lose you but they could have very well lost you without the perk. And yeah I stopped using it because it doesn't work in the dieing state, deep wounds, plague infection, etc.

No thanks, as having a p3 claudette in the grass making no sounds on dark maps like Sheltered woods would be too much of a pain in the ass to find (especially if they have tenacity).
Or you could just not slug, then you have no trouble at all.
-
1. So skill definitely isn't useless. That's almost a bait from you to say that. Even the most toxic SWF teams, which is not a large percentage of your games anyway, can get caught up if you capitalize on their mistake.
2. MoM is not super busted deleting the killer entirely. You might be able to make a case for it if all 4 survivors are running it. But outside of that, the survivor had to get M1'd 3 times. So at best that survivor will get one use out of it, and unlike DS, you aren't stunned, the chase is just extended.
-
Your best bet is ruin. Unfortunately as trapper you're probably going to spend at least a generator worth of time trapping important loop spots. But please don't resort to camping or tunneling one survivor until they die, that isn't fun for anybody. Trying to keep the 3 closest gens from being done is very strong, but ultimately you are limited by a low tier killer if the team is exceptional.
-
When any of those conditions that are listed happen, as a survivor I just no longer care. Either I find the killer myself or I just work on a gen in front of them until they take me off and then I die on hook. And the killer probably won't pip or get a lot of points but then again it's basically automatic depip and lack of points for me.

It's not my opinion, it's the devs' opinion. Y'know, the people who make the game, define win conditions, and are the only ones whose opinion matters when it comes to pips and whatnot.
Give us this link of the dev opinion. While you're at it find the list of win conditions on this game because last I checked this game has no win conditions for killer or survivor that are clearly outlined anywhere.
-
Yeah like if I get into a 3 man, I instantly run to the killer and point at them a bunch of times and 9 times out of 10 they down me and kill me, then the 1 time the killer will not go try hard and just help everyone get 20k+ points.
-
Going survivor is less stressful, but I would argue more aggravating when you are the target of tunnel/camping, or bad teammates who don't do anything or just DC. At least killer you can only depend on yourself.
-
3/5 games tonight, my girlfriend has had her game freeze and crash during the loadup of the match. And out of the 2 where she didn't crash, she got kicked halfway during the match by the game.
-
EZ troll, EZ life
-
Also healing will make sense with Legion now, so that's more of the game being slowed
-
It's possible to lose any killer in any situation sure, but how about the times where attempts at breaking the chase in hiding don't work, but the killer is still making enough mistakes where the survivor doesn't go down the whole match? There is no guaranteed fool proof way for a survivor to lose any killer in any situation, so in that case, yes there should be something done.
Which goes to an overall arcing issue I think there is in the game, where your points are only locked into categories, rather than just having an overall 32k point limit from all 4 sources, both killer and survivor. If you're good enough to keep a chase going for 5 gens, you should deserve more than 8k points plus 5k for escaping. Just like killer, if you're so good that you end all chases within 10 seconds, you will get no where near your max chase points, but might get plenty of deviousness points in a match and cap.
-
Considering survivor queues and killer queues, I think the general consensus is that there is a higher ratio of people playing killer than 4 people playing survivor. Which makes sense since it's safe right now to play killer. Versus playing survivor, you throw the dice to load in with all 4 people and not a 3(or less) man match, and on top of that, have nobody DC(intentional or a bug from the game), and then you still have the chance of having a tunneling killer who goes try hard no matter if it's 1 survivor or all 4 in the game. So no, I don't think people are done playing killer.
-
One of the biggest things killers complain about is how fast the game can go by. Deep wounds is just another way of slowing down the game. With Legion it won't be intentional to get downed by Deep Wounds, but does slow down the game even more. And since the Legion will be able to move at 115%, they'll be able to injure a survivor with their frenzy, then either put pressure on other survivors and making that first survivor unable to immediately get on a gen, or chase them with his new running speed. Some of the best killers in this game think Legion will become a very good killer as a result of this change. And if after all this and trying it you still don't like it, play something else. It's what happens in any video game that has constant development.
-
I just got tunneled by a Micheal off the hook both times to my death, so those are reasons people DC(I didn't DC but I certainly did not have fun in that game).
-
With this new feature, will we see fixed door positions? Currently some door spawns can be very close together, meaning a lone survivor would have an extremely difficult time trying to open a door if a killer can just proxy both doors quite easily.
-
So part of the problem is how difficult it is for survivors to reach rank 1 versus a killer. Especially these days where there are so many ######### matches where a survivor dc's and the killer still goes 100% try hard and kills the 3 remaining survivors before they can do enough to even safety pip, let alone normal pip.
-
I think survivors lingering is about as annoying as slug games from Killers. And before anyone corrects me to say that's a strat, it doesn't mean it's not the absolute worst thing as as survivor. At that point I would prefer the hook so I can move on with my next game. And back to your original point, yeah the more you #########, the more power you give those survivors who hide and bully.

Nurse.

i do not know the exact numbers, but let's say by default the charge time is 2 seconds to reach the max distance you can travel, it takes 1 second to reach this distance, we'll say 30 meters, 2 seconds to charge it, + 1 second to reach it, you have the time to change your direction and avoir being hit, you can counter by going back in her direction and so ruin her blink, it's fair and it counters, BUT the add-ons that increase the range of the blink, and supposedly decrease the accuracy, which btw, does nothing at all, let's say both of them increase the max range to 55 meters, but the time to charge the blink and the time it take to reach the max distance is the same, it still takes 2 seconds to charge, and takes 1 second to reach the 55 meters, so if the survivor is in front of you, let's say 15 meters, well you don't have to hold it for 1 second and wait half a second to reach the survivor, since it will take you less than half a second to charge and 1/4 of a second to reach the survivor, so these 2 add-ons combined just makes any other add-ons that increase the charge time and the travel speed, pointless since the RANGE add-ons, RANGE, makes you go further, quicker, and also makes you travel faster since the charge time and travel time remains the same, these 2 add-ons itself, are OP, since there's absolutely 0 negative to it, and the "blink accuracy" is bull****, either these should not stack, or increase the fatigue time, or inscrease the charge time and decrease the travel speed.
No addon nurse is stronger than any killer. The issue with nurse isn't just because addons can make her blink farther, it's just the fact that vaulting/pallets do not affect her.
-
Idk, I just feel the hatch should be the farthest thing from the Dev's mind right now. Servers, Freddy rework/buff, Nurse rework/nerf, make ######### perks better, etc. And I don't think the hatch is a big issue if some of the best killers in the game who stream and have put thousands of hours into those killers just don't care one bit about survivors getting hatch, and that's something I follow as well when playing killer.
-
Yeah if you think hatch is a pressing matter, you should play survivor and see how fun lobbies with bad pings are, or survivors that dc moment they get downed, of 1v3's, etc, killer imbalance, etc.

There is one of the big problems
I did great that match so why should I have to lose in the end?
Im not super high ranked I suck at this game so if I finally do good why do I have to be punished for something like this
even still this problem affects all tiers not just new player not just veterans everyone is affected
Why do you consider a 3k a lose? In that case it all comes down to what you define as your win condition, or what makes you feel good. And if it's 4k every time no matter how it happens, you will be sad. Just like a survivor who wants to survive every match, will be disappointed.
-
I mean, if you're in a situation where there is only one survivor left and they are trying for hatch, then not all gens were done and all other survivors were eliminated, why is one going through the hatch a total failure? Like clearly you kicked ass for that match. Also you can't say killers are punished for taking action on a hatch standoff because then a survivor who takes action and tries to jump in is also punished in the same manner. Standoffs suck for both parties, and whenever I play killer, and from the really high ranked killers that stream, tend to just hit the survivor and watch them jump down because it's just one of hundreds of matches you will play.

I honestly think survivors should have a default gen speed penalty when they are hurt, otherwise it's just too easy to get Adrenaline.
The idea behind the perk is great, honestly, It rewards survivors for risking their lives, but... Doing gens is not risky at all.
If gens could be completed only by something that would make survivors run around the map, that would be great. You'd be rewarded for playing without getting caught while risking your life going around hurt but that's not the case. Sitting the hole game on a gen without doing anything but holding 1 button and get an insta heal for It is just stupid.
There's a perk for that.
-
Nurse. Because you have to depend on the nurse to make a mistake, where as survivor nothing you can do will evade the nurse without them losing you. And being that this game is very anti stealth, it's very difficult to do so. But also being able to blink through floors puts her at a huge advantage when physics no longer apply.
-
Define winning. There is no specified win conditions of this game for either game. Either you survied or you died. Either entity is disappointed, or you are one of 3 different killer adjectives. Tru3 as a killer main would have known to abandon that loop and chase somebody else. The issue isn't the loop, but that generators need to take longer.

Glebu said:I dont see how the SB and SC changes would affect matches against the nurse, when did sprint burst save you from a good nurse. A good nurse will just blink to you after you sprint burst and healing when near a nurse is and will always be a deathwish because of NC
Guys can we stop calling it sprint burst changes when it's pretty much an exhaustion change in general, plus it really doesn't affect sprint burst all too much. Hell it only serves to widen the gap between sprint burst and the other exhaustion perks as you have less incentive to use them.
Hardly. Now a survivor has to make a choice of do they want to use their sprint burst at the beginning of the chase only, or take Lithe and get their sprint burst midway through a chase. It will bring the exhaustion perks closer in line with each other, but will have to see in practice which comes out on top, if the change goes through as is.

Hitboxes in this game are about as great as a football game from 1995. I dont know how many times I was around the corner of a pallet and still get stunned.
-
I don't mind the hatch escape tbh. If I catch them before i get there, then awesome. But typically if I get them to have to get to the hatch, I had a good game and that's more than enough for me. Missing that last kill doesn't ruin it for me by any means.
The hatch change was just as much killer sided as the hatch is now survivor sided. I really don't think there is a good fix for the hatch to make it balanced for both sides, and once again, if it comes to a survivor getting out with the hatch, I had a good game. -
I think the issue is that people play for different reasons. I've balanced my hours between killer and survivor. As a killer, I dont have to 4k to have fun. I could even get no kills, but 2 hook everybody, and if it felt like a decent challenge, I'll have fun so long as the survivors are good sports. As survivor, it is nice to survive, but I have no problem being altruistic and letting somebody else escape with myself dying in their place. But plenty of killers do not enjoy chases. Several killers, if they don't 4k, feel the game is not fun. And it is their right to feel this way, even if others don't agree with it. Just like survivors don't have fun unless they survive. I understand the desire to tunnel if your goal is to 4k every match. But as a survivor, I don't enjoy being tunneled. It is not fun for me at all. It isn't fun for either side. In terms of killers thinking survivors should just "git gud" and escape or play stealthy to evade the killer and that looping shouldn't exist, the game isn't designed for this. If you go in the corn field and don't use any windows or pallets, every killer in this game can catch the survivor easily. The loops are needed for survivor to put a challenge to the killer. If you don't want the challenge of chasing a survivor, then simply say so. But this game does not encourage survivors to play stealthy, and it certainly isn't designed for survivors to outrun the killer and get away without using obstacles. I fully agree that tunneling is annoying, and although isn't lacking of skill, certainly takes less skill than chasing a healthy survivor and downing before all 4 gens are done. This is the spark of the hunt. If I as killer wanted lambs for the slaughter, I would turn on my xbox and play destroy all humans. But I want a challenge, so I play this game instead. But for those killers who do defend the tunnel, I would hope you do your best to set yourself in the survivor's shoes and see how fun it is when you get unhooked, and the killer runs right by the person who saved you, who would be an easy hit, and instead go right for you, not allowing you to even play the match.

Dedicated Servers, btw

Yeah people hack because of how bad this company is about dealing with hackers. The community manager(s) don't ever even at least give us the satisfaction of looking into better ways of dealing with hackers. In game reporting cheating is about as useful as sending a carrier pigeon to the BHVR mailing address.
