I think I know what you're saying...
You, being 1 person can usually carry 75% of the objectives, along with also, unhooking, healing, and totem cleansing, all while teammates are losing chases and dying, until your alone... most often making it a rarity that you successfully escape.
Which in turn leads you to assume that a team with 3 to 4 survivors with your same simi-decent abilities would accomplish 100% objectives, aslong with 3 to 4 escapes...
but in reality, you're stuck in a " teeter-totting" mmr hole...
You have good objective and asymmetry skill sets, but due to your ability to be stealthy... you end up HINDERING your mmr.
Also, your escape rate is low (sux being the last survivor sometimes) but those two things are what's causing you to feel like your carrying your team... because you are carrying your team lol.
So, enhance your chase time and your escape rates and I promise... your opinion will change completely.
I play both sides and I honestly think "soloq" is the hardest but most rewarding part of dead by daylight.

Many situational factors in dbd are absolutely annoying... face camping is definitely one of those factors
(When I'm the killer, face c1amping makes my gameing experience tediously boring & feels like I'm just cheating myself out of adequate skillful gaming... Its just not my gaming style BUT for those who feel it's necessary... do you boo boo.
Anyway, ****MY go to TIP for successfully unhooked a face camped survivor:
(ONLY if killer is hitting the hooked survivor) is to time the unhook directly after killer swings on the hooked survivor...
gives just enough time to not get hit. (If timed correctly, usually allows for both survivors to run without taking damage)
Hope this helps you with a majority of the camping issue... works 99.9% for me personally
I can upload a "tutorial" of how to easily time the hit so all survivors don't take damage.

It's a perk. Vittorio Toscano's perk Potential Energy.
Ah I see... I can't believe I didn't figure that out or think "duh check the new perks". Awesome thank you for answering. Bothering me

I win more than I lose, though that would be higher if I ignored every game that had a DC or someone give up early for a stupid reason.
Matchmaking also just sucks, I'm sorry but I still get players that have no idea how to play in the slightest yet I'm a vet and highly skilled (even win alot so my mmr should be high) but its impossible to carry a team of very bad players (as it should be but definitely ruins the amount of wins)
It's also worth noting EVEN IF YOU DIE other may escape, it's a team game afterall so you may die but that dont mean others didnt "win" for you so to speak. Best way to view tunneling, you may die but you're doing it for your teams win
This isspot on, how I feel!
I'm an avid gamer and was surprised how Tricky dead by daylight can be, it's what still keep me interested.
Only ever played SWF A handful of times it's way easier but I tend to like the Solo Q better.
6 of 10 matches, I have the highest or 2nd highest score, depending on if the killer scores higher. I feel like some time I can stay alive but most often I'll get study worth either a horrid team or even worse, a baby killer.
( I say "baby killer feel worse" because I'd rather diffic

In the past, I assumed the reason why toxicity is so common is because this game attracts the "terminally online" crowd, but now I'm starting to think it's because this game gives you so many tools to screw with the other side.
- Quad meta SWF's playing in the most optimal(boring) way possible.
- Strong Killers with really strong add-ons that can abused for easy wins.
- Playing in ways that are unfun for the other side are encouraged, and "playing nice" is often heavily punished.
The way the game is set up is to make you into a meta slave, and before you say "I only play curve Billy and go for 12 hooks, you just need to stop tryharding." No one is a perfectly stoic machine who can just ignore losing hard and getting it rubbed in your face, and everyone will get upset at this game given enough time.
Been playing for 6 months and it blew my mind how toxic the community was against one another... & even more on how the blame was extremely biased and inaccurately placed, time after time.
1st majority lesson I learned... PLAY BOTH SIDES! Its a MUST if wanting to gain adequately skillful advantage on opponent's.
Love that you posted this!

This is exceptionally Bad ass!!
I'm quite new to this forum, so I'm unsure if this kind of artwork is fairly common but this impressed the hell out of me!

This is the a perk I would want to see in this game. When it's down to the last 2 survivors, and one is slugged, the remaining survivor should have a perk to finish off the slug.
This would solve the age-old problem of the killer slugging for the 4k with no information; and remove alot of the working with the killer sandbagging (cheating) that happens in those situations
Thoughts?

I imagined from the title this discussion was going waAy differently.... "SURVIVORS SHOULD GET A PERK TO KILL SLUGS" had me assume you we're suggesting a "counteracting to slugging", perk...
not a
"willing to kill to survive" perk ๐ (not a hUge fan of your perk suggestion BUT "Willing 2 kill 4 survival", be a badass name lol)
I do love the idea that came from your titlethough...
The "Anti-Slug Me", perk: Perk "Automatic grants a health state, for 1 of the 3 survivors. which survivor is granted a health state is random... idk (I'd purpose a better ideas once I'm one Behavior's payroll)
Lol but it was fun to imagine

I don't have a picture, but it looks just like the Wifi bars over survivor, but has a little Knife above it.
Lol I Crack myself up... I thought it was telling me the killers bloodlust increasing/decreasing....

I like the polls section myself - really want to do more with that in the future.
I've been a gamer my whole life but, I am fairly new to dbd & love how challenging, it is.
(came into dbd trying to go straight for killer, [Nurse to boot] & dbd put me in my place, fast lol)
So the attraction to this forum comes from loving to hear others opinions, struggles, & tips. Really helpful.

Can confirm this has happened to me too, just started this patch. Was able to sabotage hooks with toolbox but not repair gens with it. Works some games but not others, on variety of maps. Conirmed key bindings for item use & interact are different. Very inconsistent, didn't work one game then worked the next. Playing on Switch.
Same exact senerio keeps happening to me... This last incident today, I used the "Engineering toolbox" with "brand new part" and an "increased sabotage by 15%", would NOT work in game but was able to sabotage

Level 72 (0 devotions) playing total 34 days :) So I assume with each devotion level increase, the players/Killers you're matched against are also around the same devotion level? Idk but I do know, I'm highly impressed with this game & have became addicted fast.
