Thank you everyone for your answers so far. I can definitely understand what everyone here is saying. I play solo queue a lot so that probably adds to the whole issue as well.
I want to say it would be good to add something to block hard tunneling but I know it would just cause SWFs to abuse it and killers to have really bad matches with the people who abuse anything like this. I guess I need to study survivor more and run a million anti tunnel perks in the meantime haha
It feels kind of ironic because I used to wonder why so many people ran DS as well lol -
@zonkednb said:
Prefacing this to say I play like you, preferring to spread hooks.
There are two things that cause people to fall back on tunneling:
- It's just effective. Most individual survivor players are not able to handle that kind of constant pressure for long enough to allow their team the victory. I'm certainly not.
- Highly efficient teams that split gens well and have perks to make them fly past punish 'kindness' from the killer massively, and because you don't necessarily know if you're up against a team like that or not, the safe bet is to take one out ASAP for some breathing room.
That isn't to say tunnelling is required to beat a genrushing team. In fact, if you try to tunnel a good looper, genrush will crush you, but the fact that you do not know how much the other team is going to sweat means that not presuming the worst can result in a loss.
I don't think every killer that is tunneling is doing it out of malice. They're not trying to ruin the game for that survivor, they're just not concerned whether that's a by-product of it. Which, while tunneling remains a solid strategy, is a game design issue and not a personal failing.
I still think it's cheap, but I don't blame people for saving themselves a headache. It is just a game after all.
Definitely can understand and thank you for your respectful answer! I just hope one day that people won’t feel like they need to tunnel to have fun

Well isn’t SUPPOSED to be a counter for aura seeing perks? like I get what your saying about how they should get tokens but once they have them it’s still going to counter your aura seeing perks almost the whole game which is what it was made to do
just like perks like light born are meant to counter survivors and make them bringing flashlights completely useless
like most perks have counter so I don’t see the issue
That’s the whole point 😂
It will still counter Aura perks but just regenerates tokens slower. It’s fine if it counters the perks for the most part but not if there is absolutely no effort on the survivor’s side.

I'm guessing the OP doesn't play as a survivor much, if at all. There are few things more frustrating than having a killer hook another survivor/kick a generator/etc. and then having the killer beeline straight towards you.
Speaking as one who plays both sides of the proverbial fence, I can tell you that, as a killer, I rarely see it used. Why? because it only counters one or two of your perks for ONE survivor. If you're using three or four aura perks, it's ridiculously easy to overcome Distortion -- if you know what you're doing. And those supposed two perks are still useful against the other three survivors. IMO, there are far more reliable ways to find a survivor while simultaneously still giving them a chance to hide.
When playing as survivor, I feel as if I NEED to run Distortion just so I can have a chance at hiding from the killer....but even then, it's useless for most matches as most killers don't even run with aura perks. IMO, if you're using an aura perk, it totally destroys one of the survivors' few defenses...being able to hide. And even with only two aura perks, there have been multiple times where I've run out of charges. Other players are right in pointing out that, against the more silent killers, Distortion is heavily crippled. The only time you CAN effectively recharge them would be during a chase...and if you nerf it with a longer refill time, it will effectively make the perk little more useful than when it didn't refill at all, back when there were far fewer aura reading perks. After the first few minutes of the game, it became completely useless.
As a killer, I never run with an aura-reading perk unless absolutely necessary (such as for quests). I personally consider them to be "noob" perks used to counter a lack of skill. I DO, however, run with two perks that allow me to track survivors via other means...each of which can be countered by another perk, which (surprisingly) is very rarely used, and each of which only work in certain scenarios. Given how many other ways there are to track survivors (via other perks or just by paying attention in a game), I am incredulous that you feel the need to nerf such a perk. If the survivor you're chasing takes so long to catch that they're refilling their Distortion, then you're taking way too much time on one survivor.
I think the real problem here is that it counters your specific build. There's a reason why perks like BBQ, Lethal Pursuer, and other aura-reading perks are considered meta.
You keep reiterating that you only want the refill rate to be extended by 20 seconds or not apply while in chases. That is far more damaging to the perk than I think you realize.
As a side note, I often see survivor mains decrying all the nerfs to survivor perks and buffs to killer perks. I see the opposite with killer mains. This is what I can tell you: I find it far easier to play as a killer than as a survivor unless I'm up against a strong swf group....and I'm better at playing survivor than killer, assuming the killer isn't tunneling or camping (which I also consider to be noob tactics and try to avoid as much as possible).
Storm
Oh, and for all you survivors who like to play Bill Overbeck...I can hear you coughing. 😈
Hi Stormy, OP here to get a few things straight.
- I play survivor 25% of the time, usually based on the bloodpoint bonuses but as well as for filling out archives. I'm a P11 Yui main who is working on collecting all of the survivor perks.
- Aura perks are not noob perks. I know it is a common misconception but they remove the RNG from finding survivors which is really valuable for keeping pressure on survivors, especially in lobbies where every survivor in their right mind is rushing a gen these days.
- I changed the description at the top for the nerf. I realized through discussion that just making the perk like stakeout would suffice. The reason being that regenerating the perk at all times when in a killer's terror radius makes it less like a token perk and more like lightborn where the perk just stays there. Survivors should be able to have the perk up 100% of the time if they really want to, but they should have to do some extra work to keep those tokens stockpiled.
- For the stealth killers, I talked with another person in this discussion about it and we agreed that it would be good to have hidden token progression within a certain range for stealth killers so that it doesn't notify the survivor but gives them progress while they are hiding.
I'm really trying to respectfully state my opinion on this forum but so many people just lash out instead of trying to have a conversation. Let me ask you a question now. Including the change for stealth killers, why would this nerf ruin distortion?

The killers took our sabotaging, our flashlight, our solo gameplay, our hatch...our generator and our medkits and toolboxes.
And ofc,it's not enough, they also need to take anything stealth related.
I wouldn't be surprised this guy puts a forum post with the "Are pallets really necessary?".
How about you try this...GET GOOD at the game and stop asking for nerfs for the most "meh" perks ever!
Uh huh, that's why I still get flashlight blinded 10 times a game by some random smuck and people manage to sabotage hooks to cancel my progress. Please stop overreacting and listen for a minute. I play both survivor and killer for one thing so why would I want survivor nerfed to the ground. (75% killer, 25% survivor) You are acting like I am making the perk useless when in all reality the one (used to be 2 but I updated my post based on discussions) change that I am asking for would still leave distortion pretty viable in games.
I'm more casual because I have a full time job so I don't have hours on hours to perfect every loop or learn every nook and cranny of a map to find survivors just because their perk recharges without them having to use their brain cells. If this is your response, try playing killer for a while to see what I mean. It's kind of miserable right now unless you know how to play Nurse, Spirit, or Blight.

William SN was saying that if a killer only had 4 aura perks that Distortion would shut them down and make the killer perkless.
I was pointing out that the killer would not be perkless, as that many aura perks would likely chew through tokens faster than they're regained.
Disregarding William’s argument. I run 2 Aura perks per build usually (Lethal and No Where to Hide are my main go to Aura perks)
When I run these perks against a distortion user, they tend not to proc for the entire game. The main reason probably being that when I find and chase the distortion user, they get all of their tokens back.
I really just want them to remove the token regen from chases. That isn’t that much of a nerf and it would make it impossible to keep tokens for the entire game. The best state of the perk would be where it is up around 60 to 80% of the time naturally and 100% when survivors go out of their way to regain tokens.

Lethal Pursuer Nurse. Address that, by maybe making Nurse unable to use aura perks, and yes, Distortion can be nerfed safely.
Distortion would still work against Lethal Pursuer nurse. We want to nerf the recharge time, not the tokens handed out at the beginning of the game.
If it were like stakeout, it would still counter Aura perks but just wouldn’t recharge during chase. The fact that it recharges during chase right now makes it a general 100% counter to most builds using Aura which stays up for pretty much the entire game.

Perkless?
If the killer has 4 aura reading perks then the survivors will likely run out of Distortion tokens faster than they can regain them.
Bad enough that Hex: Undying eats Distortion tokens for breakfast and Eruption consumes TWO of them.
Realistically though, it is kind of bad to force killers to run 4 Aura reading perks to get value out of the Aura reading perks they really want to use.
If distortion were like stakeout, it would still be up for most of the game but would not recharge tokens as fast. I don’t think that would be killing the perk, it would just make it more geared towards stealth like it was always meant to be.

For me thats a perk i almost always use, i have some work related mussle damage that prevents me from playing as much as i would like, the result of that is that
1. I need to play dbd with a controller, even when im a mouse+keyboard from since that was introduced into pc gaming. (that means for me, that i fail some moves where im sure i would have succeded if playing with M+K)
2. I cant play as much as i would like to, so that means that i suck more at looping.
That is 2x minus on my looping, if you also take away Distortion, i might aswell stop playing dbd. Because thats how i survive, by not being detected.
I do go and take hooks to "protect" my team, but i try to make it at my choosing when its "my turn".
Distortion is essential for me to be able play dbd with my handicap.
Hi Unknown. I’m really sorry to hear about your situation and I hope everything is okay.
I don’t want distortion to be useless and I think it should still be viable for stealth. It just regenerates tokens regardless of effort on the survivor’s side right now because survivors can play normally and still keep their tokens up with little to no worries for the entire game.
I changed my mind on increasing the recharge time or decreasing tokens, I just really want to see distortion being like stakeout where you can’t regen during chase.

Ah right. Because distortion removes visions for all 4 players. Oh wait. It doesn't. It's as if distortion has 1/4th of the strength of killer's perk. Who would have thought. Still I am sure you won't see this because of bias
It does depend on how many survivors are using distortion. However, the survivors using distortion in its current state tend to have tokens for the entire game which is too much. Making token regen slightly slower would still make it possible to have tokens the entire game, just with more effort on the survivor’s side.
-
@Nos37 said:
What about the downside of Distortion not lasting long against killers with suppressed terror radii or stealth killers? If it's to be nerfed against regular killers with standard terror radii, then it should be buffed against the stealthy killers/perks.
Maybe have the perk still regain tokens from killer proximity regardless of their terror radius. However, this would make it easy to detect a nearby stealthy killer, so Distortion's progress bar should not show its progress during. Instead, show the progress jump to the new correct value afterwards. Just like how Solidarity (Renewal?) works, where healing another survivor does not show the perk gaining progress, but it jumps up a big chunk after stopping or completing the heal.
This sounds like a good suggestion! Honestly think that would be perfectly fine as long as the survivor isn’t in chase with the stealth killer. The issue is that some stealth killer chases don’t count so it would also need to be adjusted so that the tokens don’t regen while in chase with the stealth killer power active.

So, i dont think the 1-1 fixes are a good thing, as the game should be asymetrical, and staying in the killers terror radius can be really hard against killers like Blight, Nurse, Billy ect.
I will come with a counter suggestion.
How about giving slow moving killers a 2% speed buff instead? this might make it harder to just loop the killer and gain Distortion, it would also balance the game more as those killers can really have a struggle to get a draw unless they camp and tunnel.
I appreciate the counter suggestion but I feel like all of the survivor mains would hate it because it would nerf MFT by proxy lol
Even it the token regen got nerfed as written in the description, it would still be a really good perk. The fact that it has recharge at all it much better than it was originally. Survivors would just have to use a few more braincells to get it to recharge.

As for lightborn vs distortion perk argument - Blast mine, residual manifest, flashbang are not perks?
As for reason for tokens - it forces survivor to be close to killer to recharge them. Otherwise you could be hidden in a corner of a map and hold the game hostage for an hour without a chance to counter that.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3526692#Comment_3526692
NWO is a clutch of an aura perk. I know, because I used it a lot too. IMO it's the main reason why so many distortions are in game now (disregarding overall perk nerf that happened over several patches now).
Didn’t know that lightborn countered those but I’m running lightborn from now on lol
I changed my nerf for distortion at the top just if you want to check. The only thing I really think it needs is to build tokens only in chase or while hidden. Honestly if it were more like stakeout it would be more balanced.
Tokens for just existing while in the killer’s terror radius is overdoing it. People should at least have to be consciously going for the tokens for the regen.

Regarding the why the perk has tokens.
Those who run Distortion usually also pay close attention to their tokens and know when and how to recharge them. (Kinda how killers who have a Scourge Hook will go to great lengths to make sure they get one when they want to.) If they don't run out of tokens that is because they are close to you a lot. There are plenty killers/perks where you run out of tokens regularly if you don't pay very close attention - and some where you always run out of tokens.
If you don't mind my asking; which killer(s) and/or build(s) are you using that gives you so much trouble with Distortion?
I’m using Nemisis with Lethal and No where to hide. I usually tend to find survivors with distortion on a gen so I kick the gen (Removing one stack) and start chase. Throughout the chase, they rebuild their tokens so that they cannot be found again. This means no matter what I do, distortion is constantly up making 2 of my perks useless.
Tokens are easy to come by because there is no requirement other than being in the killer’s terror radius which happens naturally. Having it be like stakeout or making it so it only builds tokens based on chase would make it require more effort, which would be a good thing. It would still allow for regen though and give people distortion for most of the game.

yes, it works just as well as lightborn. You don't want to weaken the lightborn so that the survs can use their lanterns at least once in a while, do you? that's the point, the distortion works as intended.
I honestly think lightborn should be nerfed to just giving a longer duration before flashlight blinds can happen. The fact is though that lightborn counters an item, not perks. Survivors can pick up another item during the trial, Killers can’t switch perks mid trial.
Please tell me why distortion is a perk with tokens? Is it because the devs intended it to be up for the entire game? Or is it because it was meant to run out of tokens after a lot of use. The original distortion didn’t even have token regen, it just had 4 tokens and you were done.
I’m really not asking for much here, just make the token regeneration slower. Aura perks should be countered to an extent by this perk, not completely blocked.

Yeah, I'd still use Distortion even if its recharge was nerfed a little bit. But a lot of people are oversensitive so if you suggest even small tweaks, they freak out like you're asking to eat their children.
Yeah, I don’t think many people remember when it only came with 4 tokens and didn’t recharge. The fact that it comes with 3 tokens now and you can recharge them is pretty powerful for a perk that completely nullifies a killer’s perks. Especially in its current state where you don’t really have to go out of your way to recharge tokens.

Distortion and your buffed hex 3rd seal are definitely not equivalent to each other. And the devs would never make a permanent blindness effect. It happened once with a bug with fearmonger and legions add on blindness and they quickly fixed that.
And if you fear distortion so much, use an undetectable killer so they dont gain it as often. Use gearhead to make them deplete it faster. Not difficult at all.
In Distortion’s current state, it pretty much is like infinite blindness towards survivors. I’m not asking the devs to nerf it to the ground, I just want them to make the tokens build up slightly slower so I can use Aura perks on non-stealth killers.
I don’t know my exact MMR right now, but almost every match I play has 2 to 3 distortion users and it almost completely nullifies aura reading perks.

I understand where you are coming from but respectfully disagree. Distortion is pretty close to being in a good state but just needs to build its tokens slower. The fact that survivors running it are immune from aura perks for the entire game makes it an issue.
It would be healthier if it was up 80% of the time or needed extra effort to be up 100% of the time.

Nerf Lethal and I promise you'll see less people using Distortion. People run Distortion because they don't want to be found within 5 seconds of starting a match.
Lethal is perfectly fine as a perk, distortion is perfectly fine as a counter. Distortion just needs to build tokens more slowly so it isn’t up for the whole game.
The reason I say Lethal is fine is because it really only allows killers to initiate one chase in the beginning of the match, saving probably between 10 and 30 seconds of searching. It doesn’t really do much other than that and buffing the duration of other Aura perks within a killer’s build.

Like why killers are so bent over survivors using stealth perks. But oh its ok when ur using undetectable perks, oblivious perks, stealth killers where we cant see you and get free hits. Oh ok. Yea yea.
Just to give a concrete example of what distortion feels like right now. Imagine that a killer has Hex 3rd seal but the Devs buffed it so it’s no longer a Hex perk. Now survivors cannot see Auras for the entire game with no way to really counter it. That would suck right?
Distortion is kind of like that right now on an individual basis. Since it has tokens, it is obviously not supposed to work for the entire game. The fact that it is so easy to get tokens back means it is up 100% of the time which is bad. It would be better if it were only up 80% of the time or survivors had to work harder to make sure it is up 100% of the time.

The point of this nerf isn’t to make it non-viable. It is to make it so it isn’t up for the whole game.
Tokens just need to regenerate slower. The functionality of the perk is completely fine otherwise.

Aura = lack of skill. If it was just to ‘save time’ people wouldn’t load up with 3/4 of them. And tunnell and camp.
Let me give you an example. Say you are in an indoor map and you run nowhere to hide. You kick a gen and boom, you see the Aura of someone in another room who is hidden really well. You instantly start chase with them rather than searching for other survivors. I don’t know what you call that, but I call it saving time.
In the other case where you don’t have Aura perks, you have to spend a lot more time searching for survivors. It only takes 1 to 2 minutes without pressure for a killer to lose in this meta so the instant tracking from Aura is priceless.
Now, try explaining why Aura perks make a killer lack skill. If they do, does that mean that all of the survivors running windows of opportunity suck?

there' is absolutely no way you can twist the definition of tunnelling to make BBQ a tunnel perk, it is by design and execution in every sense an anti-tunnel perk.
i think your confusing difference between tunneling and camping. i would say bbq is maybe anti-camping but it is very much tunnel heavy perk. you can use the information to not tunnel but that is just make game a lot harder for you as killer. Just like you stated, it is not even good anti-camp perk because... you can return the hook using info.

Sole survivor and shadowstep are examples of perks that are for the most part properly balanced.
you have to be joking. that is some crazy killer bias to tell survivor mains that these are good perks.
I respect your opinion in thinking that I rely on these perks too much but that is not the issue. Aura perks are not inherently a crutch, they are a way to find survivors faster.
Aura perks are pretty fair and balanced so having a perk which nukes them for the duration of the game because of easily acquired tokens sucks.
The nerfs I’m asking for are not going to kill the perk, they would just make it slightly harder to regain tokens. (Meaning that Aura perks may work once or twice a game)

The perk is just like stakeout. You have to be in the killer's terror radius and not be in chase to gain a token, which takes 30 seconds. I think the only reason it is coming back is because the killer is (according to the game) losing chase during chase. The tokens will regenerate briefly in those moments, but will stop again when the game detects you are back in chase.
It's a good perk, but I don't think it's good enough to make an entire aura reading loadout useless. I'm sure there are times when the perk does more heavy lifting than other times, but sometimes you can eat two tokens in about 10 seconds. If a killer can burn through all tokens very fast, it feels too punishing to make the survivor spend 2:30 hiding in their terror radius, just to get them back.
No need to worry about how you are coming across. This seems like a perfectly acceptable discussion to me. There's nothing inherently wrong in asking for nerfs.
No, the Billy was obviously in chase with the survivor and the token was still building. The perk also doesn’t have anything in its description about being out of chase like stakeout. It just says within the killer’s terror radius for 30 seconds. Read the description in the link if you don’t believe me. (https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Distortion#:~:text=with%203%20Tokens.-,Whenever%20the%20Killer%20attempts%20to%20read%20your%20Aura%2C%20Distortion%20activates,6%2F8%2F10%20seconds.)
As a killer who uses Aura perks, it really can make an Aura perk loadout useless against the survivors who use distortion. Honestly, I don’t care if it makes my Aura perks hard to use, so be it. I just want to be able to see distortion users with my Aura perks once or twice a game. That’s it.

Sounds like a killer skill issue.
If you always need aura, you need to amend your play style.
Aura perks do not compensate for skill.
Aura perks are in the game to allow killers to find the survivor faster based on a certain criteria. Using Aura perks just saves the killer time which is really important for preventing all the gens from popping. Spending 20 seconds sniffing out a hiding survivor vs 2 seconds running over to a survivor you already found is a big difference.

Tokens don't build during chase. It's already like Stakeout. Did you have a look at the perk before you came to ask for nerfs for it?
It already takes 30 seconds whilst not in chase to gain a token back. So with another 20 seconds that's 50 seconds to get one token back. With the right aura loadout you can chomp through 3 tokens in about 30 seconds or so. Does that seems balanced?
I had a look at the perk beforehand and it seemed like it still gained tokens during chase. If you want an example, watch this video and go to the 2 minute mark.
https://youtu.be/tvwxaoyBm_s?feature=sharedI’m not trying to be one of those killer mains that needs everything nerfed to the ground. Distortion in its current state just counters Auras a bit too much so I want the token build to be slightly harder.

if distortion does not protect you vs bbq/nowhere to hide tunnelling then the perk is legit useless. it does exactly what it is designed to do.
I agree with you that distortion should protect survivors against auras, that is what the perk is for and that’s what it should do.
It is just an issue when it is really easy for survivors to build tokens and distortion 100% blocks all Aura perks. The token number could even stay the same, it really just needs to only build tokens when in chase or when hiding. With both, I still haven’t been able to use an Aura perk versus a distortion user yet.

Yeap, distortion indirectly helps with tunneling you are 10000% correct on that
Agreed. The Distortion survivors are the real killers in the match 😂

what is the point of the perk if the perk does not protect you vs 1 aura reading perk? if you run 4 aura perks, the perk does not protect you. it only protects you if you use 1 or 2 of them.
there are some perks that work based off screams like thwack and face the darkness. those go through distortion unless stealth player also equips calm spirit.
Protecting someone from an Aura reading perk is fine. It’s just an issue if the perk is strong enough to 100% protect a survivor from Auras for the entire game. I really like running Lethal Pursuer and other Aura perks alongside it and it seems that distortion survivors just never run out of tokens.
I don’t care if it is the changes I suggested or something else, I just want to be able to find distortion survivors once or twice a game.

Exactly, I actually wanted to try this build to (I dont really play huntress but it seemed like a fun one to try)
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3526182#Comment_3526182
You could still do this with current distortion.
Honestly Kudos to your for your bravery. If I tried Huntress I would probably never be able to hit my shots lol

distortion works fine. if there were half as many perks for auras and addons, then we could talk about it, but not now.
I think Distortion is fine to an extent, but in it’s current state it completely nullifies Aura perks for the entire game. I don’t want distortion to be a weak perk, I just want my Aura perks to work a few times during the game.

i wish i had screenshots of the random solo q people playing stealth were everyone is death hook and they don't have a single hook stage on them,,, insane
Same, playing as either killer or survivor, there is always that one survivor who kills their team by deciding to hide all game. I feel like Aura perks really allowed killers to start chases with fresh survivors rather than tunneling so it distortion may even encourage tunneling to an extent.

Both nerfs seem reasonable and a dealbreaker,,nothing worse than imemerse team mates runnign stealth builds , never picking chase and generally being close to useless
I agree. I hardly see any of the survivors running distortion until the end of the game and I try really hard to apply pressure equally. I played one match with a distortion Dwight that I didn’t see until he was in the exit gates 😂

try playing some survivor if killer starts to frustrate you
Yeah, I play some survivor as well as killer but I don’t have friends who like playing dbd so I’m always stuck in solo queue 😂
Gotta say though, my escape rate has skyrocketed in the current meta lol

I actually would like this too. Even if your suggestion is not the exact one it needs I do think something could happen. It does suck to have 2-4 distortions in a match when you have consistent aura reading perks. And the sad part is aura reading is not really meta, like someone who wants to play a fun build like aura read huntress you especially on some maps will have a useless build if there are too many distortions.
I hadn’t even thought about Aura reading Huntress. That must be pretty miserable in the current Meta with at least 2 distortions per game 😱

Woah. Why were you looping one survivor for 2 minutes? That seems like throwing the match???
I had already tried 4 or 5 chases and most of them weren’t going my way. I saw a previously injured survivor and though it would be my only way to generate some slight pressure.
Either way it was a pretty cracked SWF so I probably would have been gen rushed anyways lol

i think mft is fine as a killer
I think MFT is fine if you are playing as a stronger killer with chase powers. For example, I play as Demogorgen and Nemi on a regular basis and have no issues but when I try out M1 killers, those extra seconds of distance are really painful, especially in strong loops.

"I loopped for two minutes".
Did the "gens pop/fly" too? With all due respect this is a mistake I see a lot of killers make and then blame the game for it. Never commit even half of this long to a chase. It's an instant downfall. Don't chase survivors who are better are looping you than you are at catching them unless you HAVE to (I.e. they're the only one left) and don't chase survivors who want to be chased. They're trying to waste your time.
This was probably the 4th or 5th chase I commuted to. I usually go for about 30 to 40 seconds and give up if I’m making no progress.
This whole team was pretty cracked though so I wasn’t really able to down anyone without committing a bit more than usual. Had an injured survivor with MFT and Windows of Opportunity who I thought I could down so I tried and tried until the body block.
Probably a skill issue if I’m being really honest lol

And then you get lobbies where all 4 survivor can you loop you for that long aka "matchmaking" royally screwed you and then this kind of advice is less than helpful when burned out.
@CarbonaraCharlie better take a longer break from DBD (a week+) if such a play frustrates you this much. I know the feeling from experience. Its part of what made me leave the game years ago.
I know the gameplay and premise is still rather unique but at the same time it lost its fun and became stressful and repetitive.
I really appreciate the advice. I probably should take a break but I’m kinda burnt out on all of the other games in my library. After that body block, I started going into lobbies with a more I’m going to lose and have fun doing it mentality and it has really helped.
