My guess, is that survivors can fill the thing, create a crystal that they can either take, or leave for the next person. Killers don't have anyone to leave stuff there for so they take it automatically, and their time is more valuable than 1 of 4 survivors.

Another reason is the crystal counts as an expendable item which you cannot carry a flashbang/ singularity glowstick/ pinhead box/ sadako tape etc at the same time as the crystal, so instead of auto replacing that item it keeps it there as a choice while letting you still spend ur void points

I'd guess it's the latter, but probably just because they didn't know how to code that exception for when you have a different special item.

  • I am glad that the new and extremely basic loadout feature made only for beginner players didn't come out with no bugs.

I play DBD for its amazing spaghetti code and incompetent dev team, not to have a 'fun' or 'polished' experience.

No, you have the OPTION to do that. If it is in your best interests. If you feel like it's better to spread pressure, or try to find the guy on death hook, or to go chase a survivor off a necessary gen, you can do that, too. Sometimes, it's better to tunnel. Sometimes it's downright necessary to not get absolutely curb stomped.

The point is, the killer has the autonomy to choose. Now? They either play like a bot and lose, or they try to tunnel and still lose. There are no real options. See survivor, chase survivor. No strategy, no macro gaming.

The OPTION would be deciding if the game would be won by tunneling the survivor and taking the penalty, or going for a unique hook to get the benefits that those give.

It just sounds like you have the preconceived that not tunneling = loss, so what macro would these changes be removing? If it didn't matter anyways and you'd still get the loss, that doesn't sound like macro gaming to me.

They're probably just going to add killer bots eventually and remove killer players from the game entirely.

    Victim mentality is unhealthy.

Regression limit. You can't hold a 3 gen. Trying to do so is just delaying the inevitable.

BBQ is only used by high mobility killers because they're the only ones that can profit from the info. Legion can't do jack about the survivor sitting on a gen all the way across the map.

What will make the killers play like bots is the tunneling/slugging changes on top of the regression limit.

    And it isn't botlike to:

    1. Hear noise notification
    2. "Ooh survivor unhook. Mmm, fresh tunnel."
    3. Walk back to hook
    4. Chase same survivor and hook
    5. Repeat

    ???

  • The only things I'd ask for about the Kaneki changes is that I wish they fixed more than just one thing about his kit. Now at least when I go against a Kaneki they can't do the brainless action at vaults, but they're still able to insta-cancel a dash to m1.

They want the killers to basically be bots. Strategy? What's that? Just mindlessly chase the first survivor you see, eventually get a hook, and use your BBQ basekit to mindlessly chase the next survivor. Repeat a couple more times, and by then the gens will all be done. Then you get to watch a fun little dance party at the exit gates!

Don't protect gens. Don't generate pressure. Just mindlessly chase survivors until they finish gens.

Honestly… at this point they should just get rid of the killer role entirely and replace it with mildly competent bots so the survivors are never, ever, more than mildly inconvenienced.

Why not protect gens? What changes in this update affect gen protecting? Unless you mean the punishment for tunneling that you get, they literally give a bonus to gen kicks when you get a unique hook.

Sounds like you forgot that BBQ already exists, and the killers using it don't just suddenly turn into mindless bots, and actually still protect gens.

  • Still happens. Each time I boot up the game, it's like I would have to play a test run against each killer so that their power doesn't cause stutters when they use it for the first time.

Dracula seems to be the worst for me though, as every time they use one of their many abilities, it will stutter.

Not to mention the maps shaders seem to be not loaded before going into the match, causing horrible stutters in random areas when you go to them. It is horrible, and I would think it is also very easy to fix, as basically all maps are technically static.

  • Both blinks are buggy still, this hasn't been fixed after months of bug reports?

  • It is very nice to know that this is still prevalent and I have this happen every time I play. Yay!

There's a reason why every single survivor use this perk. You can't deny a perk is overpowered when it's part of every single build. When I play killer I automatically know they use it when they run me from pallet to pallet, which is almost all the time, and I assume people who don't have it didn't buy the survivor yet.

A simple range nerf would be enough, IMO this perk should help you find a path when you're being chased, not plan the chase for the 3 next minute with every obstacle of the map. Sure, you can argue "then give up the chase and go find someone else". But maybe you didn't read that every survivor use this perk.

I remember playing a round as skull merchant pre-rework. And this swf brought me to the pallet factory(saw map). They all had windows of opportunity and complained that I made the round take too long meanwhile i had to break literaly every single pallet in the entire pallet factory to start getting hooks because they first thing theyd do is go straight for all the available pallets lol (i still won cuz she was broken at the time) but yea windows of opportunity on a swf abusing a pallet heavy map is something that could use a nerf

but the swf would already know which pallets are broken because they're in a swf? Sounds like you just got a group of survs w/ friends that wanted to own a killer, because if they were good, they wouldn't have windows as a swf
