Killer: Nemesis
Stage: RPD with some small surround bits of Raccoon City streets.
They'll sell Leon and Claire DLC skins for the survivors and Mr.X skin for Nemesis.

Two patches since I posted this and they won't even acknowledge this bug in this or any other thread about it. Getting really frustrating when I paid money for this and it's been bugged almost the entire time.

It would change absolutely NOTHING for someone's backstory to mention they were LGBT. Would not change the gameplay, would not change the character. And yet it would make a lot of people happy because they want to see it. There is no good reason to be against it. People need to stop pretending they have a deeper reason beyond disliking gay people.

It's legitimately hilarious to me that people actually think people who gravitate towards one specific system have different ways of thinking and will be inherently better or worse. You thinking that "console players" are any different from "pc players" is why people are writing off this thread. People are just people, the choice to buy a PS4 over a PC doesn't indicate a different way of thinking or behavior. The only one who's maturity is being revealed here is you.
To help you out, the reason you may be seeing more bad players is because consoles have more players than pc overall, so with a larger pool of people come more bad players than you had before. Bad players will always be a thing in any online game, deal with it.

Before it I was getting consistently matched with Ranks 1-4 as a Rank 14 Killer. After it I was matched with Ranks 15-8, seemed way more fair. I don't know why it was working for me but not others. If it had worked as promised then I think it would have been great but a Rank 1 Killer against Ranks 20s... what happened?

They're removing/reworking the rank system into something else in the future, so why does it matter?

Camping to me is a killer never leaving the hook. Like in a way that's not even viable for points and just annoying. This "type" of camping you do is fine, it's just a killer winning the game because the survivors aren't as good.
That being said, you messaged them asking them why they DC'd, you equally accused them of dumb things "swf with a key!" and then come and post this here. You're the one pursing drama here. It was a match, it happened, take the points from the dc and consider it a win. Trying to talk to them afterwards is pointless and you knew what was going to happen when you did.

If you’re learning a killer, the best way is to compete against people above your skill level. Does this mean people ranked higher than you are more skillful? Absolutely not. In my experience, about 75% of red rank survivors play like they should be rank 15.
Keep facing decent teams. When you can consistently win or draw more matches than you lose, you have learned the killer.
I dunno. When I'm trying to figure out how a power works and I'm down to one gen left within three minutes after one hook and I don't have any good perks yet... I dunno, I feel like there's not much I can learn about the Killer this way. I'm sure some would be able to, but I'd rather Survivors on my own skill level so I can get into more situations.

My Legion has Nurse's Calling, Discordance, BBQ & Chili, and Corrupt Intervention.
Pretty standard "good perks", but they work well enough for me. I use the Feral Frenzy to just get the first hit, then cancel it and do a normal chase. It basically just makes Legion a basic killer that cuts chase time down by half because the first hit is very easy to get. I also find that people often underestimate Legion. They don't have a lot of special unique mechanics, but they are the most fun out of the "basic" killers to me.

Is it really a need for the MMR system or do we just need the game to keep a mid-tier playerbase to fill in the gaps? Is there something that's keeping new players from sticking around so we're left with just newbies and veterans?

I recently made a post about how once I got to Rank 14 all I saw were 1-3s and I could no longer play a match without getting walked all over. I've played the game for about a month. Seeing this, I'm beginning to realize maybe the problem is necessarily what I thought it was, but a much deeper issue.

Yeah, even on systems without chat you'll find players taunting whoever loses. It's a little silly but at the end of the day it's not that big of a deal. If they want to feel like they are super cool because they won a match in a video game, let them.

Edit: Also, the grind is real in DBD. I have all perks on exactly 1 killer, and more than 50% of perks on about four more, as well as on 2 survivors.
A little bummed to hear it isn't any better on other platforms. I was really hoping it would be. I just don't see why I'm grouped with Rank 1s and not 20s when I'm 14. Can you elaborate on what the "MMR system" they are adding is?

I'm curious if crossplay is going to impact this problem. Like if people on PS4 are sending messages on PSN, once they start playing with people on PC and other console they won't be able to do that, so the trend of it might go away. I doubt many will check every match if someone else was on PS4 to send hate (of course, there will always be the one that does).

I play on PS4 and I had already turned my messages off from non-friends years ago because of spambots. I assume other platforms have the same thing? Just turn the messages off if you can (I know PC has a chatbox in-game that may be harder to ignore). I guess if your problem is other survivors when you're survivor, it might be worthwhile trying to find a group of people you like, either online or from irl friends, that will play with you to reduce the amount of time you have to play with randos?
