Fruits of your labor needs a buff.

Fruits of your labor is in need of a minor buff. Currently it only activates when YOU finish a generator, not whenever a survivor finishes a generator. This makes it so you get perk value maybe 1-2 times per game? The perk just isn't strong enough to justify that few of uses.

My suggestion is just a minor wording change to make this perk more valuable and worth bringing to a match. (As I currently only see this being brought for adepts) Instead of making it when you finish a generator it should be whenever any survivor finishes a generator.

(Could be made so it doesn't work on the final generator or revert to version where you finish a generator to activate in order to prevent it from out shining adrenaline.)

Edit: apparently this is pretty broken, maybe some number buffs or auras of more generators would help it.

  • if it worked anytine a gen is finished by anyone this perk would just powercreep adrenaline to oblivion

  • Even if it didn't work on the last generator to avoid powercreeping Adrenaline, this would still allow survivors mid-chase to gain instant heals and random bursts of haste especially on the later gens, I don't think this would be healthy at all

  • I agree with the other two that this buff would make the perk more unhealthy.

However, I agree that a little buff would be helpful for Fruits of Your Labour. Maybe that whenever a generator gets finished, you see your teammates aura for the next 30seconds or whenever you finish a generator, you see the generator with the most progress for the next 10 seconds. Giving this perk a buff for SoloQ would be helpful.

  • Why not just make it proc if you have assisted in the gen repair?

Kind of like red herring/help wanted/Machine learning

I think this idea has merit, maybe once you have done 30% worth of a gen then it's like a compromised gen (like how you referenced Help Wanted and Machine Learning), where whenever that gen pops you get the bonus? It could still obviously activate off of finishing the gen, I think it would be dumb if it didn't. Because as it is, even if the idea of it activating off any generator popping is overpowered, OP is right that the perk is pretty weak. I ran it for I think 6 games or so with an entire build around it, I think I only got value once even when I was trying my best to force it, and even then it was only the 3rd generator so it didn't make a huge difference.

I think 40% of a generator should be good enough.

  • Though it might be strong it could be permanent. Though the numbers would need to go down to 4 or 5%. So each time your injured, you'll have reduced charges to heal to full.

  • it wouldnt be fruits of YOUR labor if it happened when other people finish a gen though

  • have you heard of adrenaline?

but nah the whole point of the perk is to be the one to finish the last gen injured and you get a mini adrenaline essentially. i think it encourages to sticking to gens when the killer is near by, take a hit, finish the gen and have a mini speed boost to get away. and since you have SOME healing progress, healing doesn't take as long.

i think the perk is fine as is.

  • I've been using this perk a lot, it's one of my favorite perks now. I feel like it's perfect the way it is right now. It involves strategizing, bearing in mind which gens (and where) are close to being done, and hopping on to get that heal progress. It sucks when you don't manage to get to a nearly done gen before it pops, but that's a good balance for the perk, in my opinion.
