The Anti Camp in Lights out is ridiculous as hell.

What the actual ######### were you guys thinking? Okay yeah I understand that it had to be a bit adjusted so people don't camp in the dark but why the hell is the range like 2-3 times bigger?!?! When someone get's downed in the middle of the map and you hook them no matter where you go they get the meter for free. Why are we turning a perfectly fine mode again into a brainless survivor sided mess?

"Oh poor babi do you have to use your eyes in the dark to find generators? Don't worry they all start with progress so you hear them and you repair faster"

"Oh poor babi you got downed even with your free Windows of Opportunity? Don't worry you can unhook yourself when the killer is not on the complete opposite side of the map and then you get 60 seconds of extra protection with no sounds"

  • it’s a necessary evil. the devs said themselves on the recent AMA that proxy camping and tunneling were way too effective in the earlier iterations of Lights Out. now we have increased anti-camp and extended unhook Endurance duration to counteract the mass camping and tunneling. sure it sucks if you don’t intend to camp, but it needs to be there for those who do want to camp in the dark by a hooked survivor all game.

Exactly how large was the area made? Is this punishing killers being on the wrong side of the map if they dont immediately find a new survivor to chase in the dark?

on the wiki it says 32 meters. which is double the current area at 16 meters.

Thats a screenshot of a video I just watched on the topic. Apparently the anticamp is going up even if the killer is chasing other survivors too.

Looks like 1/5 of map tbh especialy works when someone is around that survivor

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynvgk3Grug8%C2%A8

Idk when they stop all modes to bring closer to 2v8 where survivors are heavily favored because thats not great thing in all modes but devs well (dont care).

That youtuber is constantly badmouthing survivors, well I don't expect anything else from Sadako mains they all play dirty, most I go up against is like that, they even hump you on the ground for no reason as if they’ve actually accomplished something. Overall I wouldn't trust him he exaggerates a lot, pretty sure it’s not a 42-meter anti-camp range, it’s closer to 30-32 meters

Even 30 is overkill especialy when it works when survivor is in that range and even more if he is chased which is caught even in his video and I had it happen in many of my games just broken stuf made by madman.

Plus that anticamp of 60 seconds damm only 80 second OTR beats it.

Another hidden buff so as survivor you get in lights out (ON):

    • 20% faster gen speed (1 survivor takes 72-75 seconds to do a single gen and two do it in something like 45 seconds thats geat)
    • gen start with small progress to be better located
    • 60 seconds of endurence after unhook
    • all start with lantern which shows gens and gives WOO which is one in top 10 perks
    • hidden buff of unticamp meter being larger by double it seems which with it latest changes making it stronger the longer killers in makes it super strong

    Killers got:

    • no terror radius and darkness (darkness is bit nerfed by lantern :)
    • franklins that should probably work against lanters which are super common there ???? no because it doesnt count as item :)

So thats great overkill again like we didnt want that mode raw so we said medium rare and devs cooked so high that they overcooked it again as always with astronomical number of buffs to one side which no one asked for especialy didnt they called 15 seconds being to abuseable so thats why they make it 10 and then slapping 60 seconds in this mode because it makes sence, classic.

  • Its same thats above it, you posted it I think.

he criticizes bhvr and their poor decisions and lack of foresight

So Yeah people don’t like him

especially now with this year being rough everyone who’s been criticizing bhvr are all apparently doomer X main who just hate on the game for views now

please I encourage you to play sadako in the current state of the game without ‘playing dirty’ and see how much fun you have losing probably most of your games. You don’t understand the struggle of player her right now.

The only reprieve you get on her is if you get lucky and the survivors don’t pick up tapes and maybe the weak link tunnels himself via condemning.

Complaining about a sadako ‘playing dirty’ is on the same level as complaining that a twins slugs it’s kinda ridiculous.

it doesn’t help that the current meta of pre run, pre drop absolutely guts her, unless you don’t have a tape then playing the loop is safer.

I do agree the humping is loser behavior, even if the survivors tbagged first, it’s lame and I don’t condone it.

and if you watched any of his videos you know he never attacks survivors players directly only bhvr and their poor decisions that cater towards one side or the other in an unfair way.

very true, honestly I just ignore the up/down votes altogether.

The real sauce comes from the reply’s and people who actually wanna engage with the conversation.

Reading the title, downvoting and scrolling by is on the same level of just saying ‘nuh uh’ or ‘bad argument’ without any context or elaboration

  • The state of these discussions is telling when there's so many downvotes pointing out a blatantly one-sided change.

You can make the argument that making it wider helps stops camping, sure, but why does it increase when chasing another survivor? What's the point in hooking and chases then? And god forbid you hook center of the map and patrol the gens.

I am losing my will to check the forums due to this stuff.

  • I'll be honest, i didn't even realize it was that big now. It doesn't seem to have impacted my games from what i can tell, i just assumed they got unhooked by a team mate. I think 24m would have been a better compromise. If what Mozo said is true then place the blame where it lies - the people hanging around hook in the dark last iteration.

With this gamemode its kinda hard to be able to tell if a survivor unhooked themselves or were unhooked by a teammate since there's no way to track the survivors. You can ASSUME its not impacting you, but your also just assuming a teammate got the unhook unless your returning to hook and seeing 2 survivors.

Oh, lol. I got 4 downvotes for pointing out where the screenshot came from so im guessing that guy isn't well liked.

Nah thats current narrative all that matters is what people read it.

Now forum is more survivor sided with opinions so you will not get liked making statements about things being survivor sided (which in events like lights out they are).

Thats just it even more new profiles trnd to have more survivor sided opinions.

Mostly dont take it seriously because devs still font listen and dont care even people from fog whisperer program where they add odd people that are super toxic, proved liars and bullyes there are videos for it too proving this but even with that nothing changes because devs do what they want.

Like that dev in stream that 15 seconds of unhook protection is too much abuseable so they refuce it for 10 and then make it 60 in lights out you just cant make this up thats why memes like “nerf pig” or “think we did pretty good job so far” are still not thing from past, its big better but some changes are still random and even mostly no one asked for them like two versions of pallet density updates (first and second version) which made maps super survivor sided unless killer was high tier and second made maps super killer sided but pallets are still clustered till today so m1 killers arent much viable only few exeptions.

  • All the people crying it's needless changes where the queues for the mode are really healthy and lots of people I've seen having fun with it on both sides.

I just think the ones here who do nothing but play the game need to realise DBD event queue doesn't need to be for them. Survivor queues were still incredibly short this iteration despite "Survivor sided" changes. I wanna also point out lanterns flat out give away the survivors positions through walls coz of Screen Space Reflections, and are a double edged sword that make it easier for the killer in chase too.

Honestly it's all the usual content creators too, I wish they'd stop talking sometimes coz it's like crying everything isn't normal DBD at this point, when normal queue is right there. lmfao

Also I think Anti-Camp works just fine in this mode, I've only seen people get off the hook if the killer lurks too much or it's dead dawg which can also backfire as 2 survivors in the radius halts it. Just over reactions. The one I find bs if anything is the 40 seconds of endurance in endgame.
