What in the MMR?????

What is going on w/ the MMR setups for this game? These 3 games were all within the past 24 hrs and the que times were like only 2 mins long.

Now to be upfront (as I will post a photo proving in the bottom) I have not been playing this particular killer for that long. Furthermore this is after coming back from a 8 month break (I have racked up about 100 hrs in the last 2 months, about 80ish in killer, 20ish in survivor). I have about 20 hrs flat in the killer I am playing - so WHY am i going against groups of survivors with tens of thousands of hrs?

These are just the ones that I was able to look up their playtime for -this does not include the other games I've had where 3+ of them were console but I suspect also had a TREMEMDOUS amount of hrs in game.

Even more - these are the only 1's I took a photo of during the EGC (if needed I can pull up the dbd stat tracker to show other rounds where I went against teams w/ 20k+hrs).

My issue is not whether I am winning or not - it is more so WHY IN THE FRIGGIN WORLD am I facing teams w/ 777.45X more time experience than me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!? (yes I used a calculator for the LESS egregious of the 3 cases I showed photos of). If we look at the little over 30k hr team in photo 2 - that is a minimum 1500x more "experience" as me(is slightly higher than 30k but you get my point).

In the 1st photo, (I posted about this in the Asuno discord so if youre there you can fact check me) - that was a "15,549 hr p400 against my p17"

image 1.jpg

In this 2nd photo - this was a 30k hr survivor team

image2.jpg

In this 1 it was also… a lot

And here is me w/ 21 hrs …. like breh. My other killer main (doc) I have 35 hrs into (can provide proof if needed) and I also see 10k+ hr teams of survivors.

Furthermore- to validate all of my claims that X teams truly had Y amounts of hrs as I mentioned - I can pull of photos of their steams (but I chose not to do so initially b/c I am not trying to dox anyone for obvious reasons).

  • What is your Killrate? MMR is based on killrate so if you have a high killrate your MMR will be higher regardless of hours.

All the matches you posted have you 4k which means your MMR would be going up after versing them.

  • I mean, given that you 4Ked all of the games, it does not seem like you got outclassed, so I doubt it is backfilling. Even if you did not play Ghoul for a long time, the MMR is taken from your general Killer MMR. If that is high, you go against good players, even if you are new to a Killer.

And well, it is Ghoul… One of the easiest Killers in the game and one of the strongest. Plus you use extremely strong Add Ons. If you go against people with a huge amount of hours, I think you are right exactly where you want to be, because I highly assume you dont want to stomp some Newbies with your Build.

As of RN - I am standing at a 72.88% KR. (but that is mostly from earlier this month when I was stomping the newbies). If we look at the past 7 days … 😥 its low…. very low

I have 148 hrs in total as killer since I bought the game - w/ 80ish being in the past 2 months (most of that being doctor and getting curbstomped)

72% is on higher end, the goal for killrate is meant to be around 60% according to devs.

Regardless the if you get 0-1k your MMR will get down, it will take way more matches for it to go down so it might take awhile for it to adjust if you are loosing more. 2 will do no change. 3-4 k makes it go up.

Did you ever ask yourself "what even is MMR in DbD?" This guide will provide you the answers you need...

here is a steam page that breaks down MMR more if interested. these longer ques times will also broaden the bracket for matchmaking,

  • This post really just proves how busted Ghoul is 😂. I am usually very sympathetic to the killer side, but I would be very happy if Ghoul was simply deleted from the game.

even w/ the MMR guide this feels like a stretch at best

bro really wants to give him the Michael Myers/Pinhead treatment🙃

  • If you win consistently your MMR goes up. You gain more MMR from players who have more, so if you beat good, experienced players your MMR skyrockets. This is why cheese tactics and easy mode killers are so bad for the game. There's no slow progression and learning period like there should be. There's just immediate sweaty matches.

  • the main take away should be with a 72% kill rate that's just under a average of 3k per match which means your MMR is still going up more then down. even if it is going down it will be slower then going up / potentially just swing up and down.

you need a majority 0-1k matches for it to go down

  • You win a lot, your MMR goes up a lot, game gives you more experienced opponents. I criticise the SBMM a lot, but in this case your situation is literally the game working as designed. And honestly, this is probably not a rare occurrence when playing Ghoul. He gets great results for far little effort (in comparison to other killers). It's something this playerbase has consistently tried pointing out the developers re power creep.

  • I feel the fact that every survivor pictured is dead undermines your point a little.

Clearly you're doing just fine. So what's the worry?
