Why are Jason's perks so bad?

Silent Shadow has some niche uses for some killers, and that's fine I guess, but Rampage and Hex: Scared to Death are just plain awful. Rampage requires you to break a majority of pallets to max it out, requires a basic-break, AND is subject to diminishing returns. There's just much better haste perks than that.

Hex Scared to Death is giving Hex: Hivemind and Hex: Overture of Doom a run for their money as the worst hex in the game. These perks are absolute garbage, and they'd STILL be garbage if they weren't even hexes. Why are the most recent Hex perks so weak?

When I think of a decent Hex perk, I think of perks like Devour Hope, NOED, Blood Favor, Crowd Control. Perks that while their totems persist and a very real and oppressive threat to the survivors, and as such should be a priority to cleanse, while killers would have alot of incentive to protect. These new perks just don't hold the weight of a proper hex perk.

I really hope we get a mid-chapter patch, and atleast some of these perks are looked at.

  • b/c the game is survivor sided - so the newer killer perks are generally not going to be as strong as the perks survivors get

Why is Jason so strong as a 115% ranged killer? Clearly the game is killer sided!

Why is Cross Examination so powerful despite being free in loop? Clearly the game is survivor sided!

Wait they nerfed Cross Examination and now it sucks? The game was actually killer sided the whole time!!

Hold the phone, Jason's perks also suck? Well the devs must've really been survivor sided and throwing us off the scent!

Totem builds are in and Jason is great at defending them? The devs must have timed this to torment survivors! The event gives many powerful effects to survivors whilst hardly giving the killer anything? You just know this was the devs sending us killer mains a message.

Everything is evidence of a vendetta. Every change is made with malicious intent. The devs are nefariously scheming about how to make your matches worse this very second. This legitimately feels like the attitude of half the people here.

  • Jason didn't need a good perk for people to buy him.

  • Not every perk can be gas. The game is full of dead and unusable perks. With the sheer number of perks that we have it's hard to come up with something new AND balanced. Id rather see niche perks or even ones noone will use than another perk that's going to unbalance the game.

Just look at how perks have to be nerfed a week or two after they go live. The fast track rework had to be changed pretty quick.

Jason's hex definitely isn't anything to write home about. Just a hex, juiced up version of thwack. But the hindered is pretty handy. Not quite as useless as hivemind or overture. And rampage is super niche but has some good synergies. I've been thinking of trying it with the hubris spirit fury build.

  • A perk buff patch for all the recent perks on both sides which are kind of mid would be lovely, some of them have really fun concepts

This was so gratifying to read.

also because his basekit is ridiculously over stuffed.

  • I'd say Scared to Death is the only bad perk, remove the basic-break requirement and it'd be honestly pretty good. Personally I like using Rampge with Endurance on Freddy, forcing survivors to drop dream pallets on you can be pretty sweet.
