Never Been This Disinterested to Play DBD
New anniversary, its the 10th, huge milestone. One new killer, its dollar tree Jason, not even Friday the 13th license. Okay, could be worse, at least his power is cool! Nevermind, his power is so overtuned I haven't won a single survivor game against him. That's fine, maybe his perks are good? Nope. New survivor cool? Kinda, a couple of gimmicky perks that just help bully weak killers. Alright alright alright, at least, the anniversary event should have some cool new features to play around with and learn. Wait, where are the anniversary cakes? I saved up 20 million bloodpoints, for 3 cakes per prestige? I'm getting them as frequently as bloody party streamers!
Bloodpoints are a virtual currency that can't even buy anything even close to a real-world money equivalent, unlike iridescent shards. All of the anniversary items, including the bloodpoint offerings, are simply a sign of dedication and only really contribute to prestige progress. They took our feedback and added shards to the rift a year or two ago. It was probably most enjoyed and positively responded to feature they've done. Save them up, buy cosmetics and characters that would otherwise require your cold hard cash. So why on God's green earth does BHVR think making anniversary items, which some would argue are the entire draw of playing the event, so rare that people won't even be able to bring them every match DURING THE EVENT???
Legitimately, you have what on paper looks like the most survivor sided event maybe even surpassing 2v8, alongside current pallet density. So killers will likely feel miserable. Survivors have to deal with a character that is basically spirit and huntress wrapped together with basically zero nerf to either's abilities being the most played killer right now. So survivors will feel miserable playing Jason every match. And both sides have to suffer from there being zero balance changes or reworks to any perks, killer powers, or addons, meaning its the same exact meta its been for months now.
Genuinely what reason is there to play the event now?

ive played 3 ghoul matches today, got 2 cakes. and decided to spend the rest of the time in customs helping my friend learn how to play Cenobite
Forgot to mention in the post, but the event being only 20 days is also hilarious. I could spend all 20 mil bloodpoints I have on Cenobite, get him from prestige 65 to prestige 80 just about, and still have less anniversary offerings from this year than the last two years individually, and I only prestiged him 5 times in year 8, and maybe 8 times in year 9. Genuinely soul crushing
im just uninterested. i really wanted to start my first P100 grind but theres no reward to it currently
i was playing Ghoul because i was concerned on what was happening and played someone who gave a good bp intake.

Jason isn't really that hard to win against, he's just another A tier. All of the survivors perks are above average in how useful they are imo.
maybe its my MMR? But I legitimately, no exaggeration, have not won a single game against him. I've had Nurse games and Ghoul games inbetween (its all i get it feels like) and I win some of them, maybe about 30-40% of them. Jason? Not a single match. He just gets zero downside from zoning people, even less than Springtrap does, and his teleport is braindead easy to spam. Putting him lower than the bottom of S tier is seriously questionable. The state he's currently in, with the badge addon and how he can just see people doing totems in omnipresent evil, he's pretty OP
I think this entire game is in a bad state, and i cant see any viable redemption for it
Might just be MMR I've started consistently playing survivor again after a while and haven't had that happen to me much.
Played the event about ten times now, and honestly, it’s just not good. This is the first time in a while I’ve walked away actually disappointed. Most of my matches end up being Jason or Ghoul, and the game expects you to juggle this awkward morsel mini‑game while the killer is free to go full rampage mode.
Events are supposed to shake things up, not make solo queue feel even more hopeless. And this is exactly why they can’t slow gens down any further in solo, killers would be 4k’ing nearly 100% of the time under conditions like this.

i would try out the new event but after getting the game on Steam and syncing my profile, almost all of my characters prestiges and inventories have been erased, yet i still have all perks tier 3 and any unlocked cosmetics. I have reported it to support and also put it up on BetaHub but man has losing all of that progress just demoralised me from even trying to play. 2 years of cross progression and it still somehow breaks, it didn't on my first sync so im not sure what changed
