Why can't we all just get along and have some fun for a change?
Was playing a few games as killer today and was met with some, lets say, unhappy survivors post game. Now i played the games fairly casual. Didn't sweat for the 4k or hard tunnel anyone yet still they arn't happy (Even had the ole Instant DC because they got sniped thru a wall by vecna).
Why can't we just play DBD for fun anymore. Everything has to be about being top mmr or win streak or going in all guns blazing 4 man sweat squad/killer bring the 4 most busted perks with busted killer.
Honestly the most fun i have in DBD is when i just say screw it and just chill in the game. Stick some fun up beat music on and just play the game. If you lose then so what, you just go onto the next game.
If your incapable of having fun in the game or if your triggered that much by losing then why do you even play video games.
So I ask that next time you boot up DBD grab some goofy perks and roll with. Don't go for the kill or escape but instead make the game your own, have your win condition something else and the escape/kills are just a bonus.
And if you really wanna have fun go play ghostface with Benny hill playing in the background. Trust me it will make your day :)

while i appreciate the sentiment, dbd has its own blood and its not going to change
I found it also helps tremendously if you have other hobbies.

I have been spending my extra time writing stories and making a small guide to a certain killer. it entertains me
Same can be said about humanity itself. You can't change everyone's minds and just have world peace. Same thing with this game. Some enjoy and promote the toxicity and will never stop.
Ngl that's a fantastic bird 🐦
lowkey i want to do a fan and random thing where i make a post weekly and
select a random killer, with a random build and add ons. and make it like a forum challange for people to do it and see what happens.
it really is a nice bird
Unfortunately the people who play DBD are in fact, people. Which means they’re messy and passionate and complicated. Everyone is just trying their best, in their own ways, and in their own minds. But I agree with the overall sentiment. Just have fun. :)
i don't like losing also unless i dominate survivors then give mercy if i start winning too much survivors will just be toxic and nof show merct to me
It sure would be nice if everyone could just not take video games seriously, but unfortunately that’s not the case and never will be. There are just a lot of very toxic people in the gaming world - always has been and always will be. And it’s not just in DbD - they’re in every PVP game.

Some times the complainer has a point. They are not always saying it because they are mad just frustrated that they might be left on the hook to die from first hook of the first hook of the whole match or survivor with no hook stages runs to the hook but decides to not save because killer comes when they could have done it easily even if it would have resulted into a trade. That leading to the other survivor dying on hook. In both of those cases I feel like the person in question has the right to be a little bit upset and would say its little bit hard to have fun with the game when that happens would you not agree?
Its another matter if they are complaing about normal gameplay or perks.
Fun is subjective.

Dbd is a pretty intense game. Ppl's blood gets up very quick on it. A relaxed game for you can be mad stressful for the other team. Particularly when you play killer.
I honestly get the most frustrated in this game when I play Survivor. When I play Killer I kinda just put myself in the mindset of I'm most likely going to lose so just chill and do your best. If you lose, so be it. Say ggs and go next. However, when I play Survivor I usually get upset at my teammates. Either enabling a tunnel out or not saving off hook when it's safe. Never touching a gen because they want to do flashlights saves or baiting chase with 4 chase perks and then going down 10 seconds later. I honestly never mind a tunnel out. It helps me get better at looping and is just the most efficient way to play Killer. I do get annoyed when my teammates enable the tunnel out tho. Like if you unhook me and see the Killer tunnel me and then next hook you unhook me in front of the Killer again after knowing they will tunnel, why? Why would you enable the tunnel out? I think I'm just a competitive person at heart and enjoy winning and playing optimally.
I understand that at the end of the day people wanna play their own way but most people play very selfish and care little to none how their playstyle or what actions they take in game effect their team and the others they're playing with when, in the end, this is a team based game. Will people make mistakes? Sure, everybody does. But purposefully giving up or enabling plays that are harmful to the rest of the team is something that personally just eerks me.
