Tunneling
Dead by Daylight needs to do something about the tunneling. This is making me not want to play as much as i used to anymore. I do stream this game and i have some many videos of killers just not going for anyone but me in 2v8, and normal game modes. These type of killers need to be punished somehow.

If the killer tunnels you, it's because they saw that you're the team's weak point. Killers who tunnel good players lose the match, and good players love being tunneled because that's part of the fun of the game. I suggest starting to use DS and DH and improving your chase skills.
In 2v8 killers wait around 30 minutes for a match. They will not show mercy! "Some do". Yes they will go for the injured and easy prey. Depending on a good loop or not.
In 1v4 the tunneling is a strategic play. And is a part of dbd. Some killers try not to tunnel and camp. And some do this if they really have to. To put pressure.
My suggestion to you: focus on a different mindset, it is just a game, and you can easily go next round(yes it is exhausting/frustrating to be tunneled many rounds in a row). You can also change your playstyle. Or go for anti tunneling perks just in case.
The only punishment you can do to tunneling killers. When you stand in the exit gate and T-bag because they didn't get you xD
I would like to add that your suggestion to change mindset and understand that its just a game can be said to killers also, not every killer has to 4k not every killer (70%) has to use the best "strategy". The problem comes from comp play, since the killers there tunnel, its copied against people who want to play a game for fun, and don't have money on the line.
The number of times that killers will the next day or later that night go to my steam profile outside of the game to taunt me for crying or whatever the regular rhetoric is as an insult is shocking.
Are you saying it is the killers gameplays fault that you can't control your emotions and work with it?
Many killers wants to for fun to kill everyone as fast as possible, or reach red rank 1 for the 2mill reward. And other personal challenges. Do you know how satisfying it is to kill all survivors.
Just understand, killers who only tunnel, it gives an advantige for survivors to work on gens (depending how good to loop whith whats left to use)

Tunneling is needed as a strategy in dbd. Sometimes it dosen't happen. But as a survivor bding tunneled, try to waste as much time for the killer.
Killers who want to have fun by the misery of the other side are just terrible people, reaching rank 1 red is a matter of play time not skill, and personal challenges ? XD Most killers have one objective how can i make the most fun out of my game while making sure the surv don't have fun. BTW before you get angry at that statement the DBD discord is full of killers that talk about how they try to achive this.
The advantage of it lets other survs just do gens is correct with high MMR/comp games however in casual games I don't want a friend to sit on a hook and press space bar every now and then for the sake of winning I want them to have fun too, If I was ok with that I would just play killer solo and tell my friends to play the offline chrome game, its the same thing you press one button every 5 seconds to play that, its very fun and mind numbing.
The thing is tunneling will always be a thing.
Its not going away, bhvr can try to discourage it but there is a balance in doing that.
I mean what do you want bhvr to do? They are trying to discourage it but the last anti tunnel ptb has shown that it's not easy to find ways to discourage tunneling.
Survivor have proven that they will use every defensive tool they get as a weapon if they can. I personally don't tunnel with the sole exception that the unhooked survivor uses the basekit BT to block me from going for the unhooker and by god this happens almost every game.
And working with incentives for the killer doesn't work great either. Turning the game into a 1v3 is the strongest thing that can happen so any buff you can offer the killer would need to be quite strong to compair. And let's not even start with the fact you would need to adjust whatever incentives for every killer cause a trapper does need significantly more then a Billy
Haven't seen the discord chat. Do you have pictures proof? No need to ahow them here. It's not about what a few people say that is the whole fact for all killers.
But I guess we need a game mode that isn't about doing gens to escape. Change the gamestyle.
I know some killers play just to slug everyone and then gg. And it's fine that too. Tunneling, slugging camping is a part of dbd. And we as survivors gotta be better to loop and learn right mindgames, because dbd is 90% just mindgames and I love it.
