Babysitter buff could lessen the efficiency of tunneling.

These are the current effects:

While you have a reputation for being self-centred, you risk it all to help those in need.

When you unhook a Survivor, the Aura of the Killer is revealed to you for 8 seconds and the unhooked Survivor benefits from the following effects for 4/6/8 seconds:

Boasting a 0.75% usage rate (via NightLight), it is evident that this perk doesn't affect much when it comes to tunneling - the only way to get value out of it. This comes down to many reasons, such as killers being in close proximity to the hook and seeing the survivor or simply hearing them. I mean what's the point of the extra haste if the killer isn't tunneling? I believe that if you made it reduce the grunts of pain in addition to the other effects, the perk would become a more viable option to prevent efficient tunneling and allow survivors to get away from the area; leaving the killer searching for you for longer or going for the unhooker. Even when in chase, the reduced grunts of pain help against killers that rely even a tiny bit on hearing in order to get the most loops in. With how prevalent tunneling is, this perk would see an increase in usage for sure with these changes whilst having no effect on killers that don't tunnel. The aura effect itself doesn't really help in solo queue if you can't tell the survivor to get out of there also which makes it only useful in a SWF, this aura effect could be transferred to the person just unhooked to allow them to decide if they want to get healed or get out of there.

Small buff would be nice. I run it with borrowed time, reassurance, off the record and a medkit

  • We just need a perk that delays the notification that someone has been unhooked. I don't know why BHVR hasn't made a perk like this already.

Who knows. Would be a cool perk for sure, unless they have sight of the hook the entire time...

Yeah nothing crazy, just want another perk to be viable excluding the meta.

I'd still take it over the mountain of garbage perks we've had in the last few months.

I agree 💯! I love my anti camp/tunnel build. It helps give survivors lots of second chances.

They are designed to saturate the oversaturated Shrine of Secrets lmao. Literally half of them are a waste of a perk slot...

I really hope the Decisive Strike rework will make us less reliant on anti-tunneling perks to counter the most tedious strategy to exist in the game. Reassurance is a must have with how games are these days and I get more value than I anticipate usually!
