How Do You Protect Yourself From Killers Targetting You?
I just played a match where the killer wouldn't go for anyone else, despite finding other survivors multiple times. They camped me out and let everyone else go. I saw they had a stream and asked why they did that and they said "because I pissed them off". I didn't do anything wrong. I managed to loop a very weak pallet for an extended period of time through good mind games. It was either that or it was possibily due to me using Claud (she was the only black survivor in the game).
What can I do to avoid being targetted again? I know the killer can see my name before the match starts, but I can't see it's them. So how do I protect myself from being targetted? I don't want to load into a match, wondering if the same nasty person is waiting to grief me again.

It was probably the looping thing
usually looping someone for more than 30 seconds triggers people
But now they know who I am they can target me for harassment. What can I do to stop that?
Not much you can do, but I wouldn't count it as a loss.
For me personally if a killer sticks chase and I manage to hold them out long enough that my team is able to escape, I dont care whether I live or die. I had a fun chase, and my actions were the reason that my team was able to make it out.
you can like, loop more, to survive more time, so your teammates can maybe maybe do all the generators, but there´s nothing you can do to stop it
So I have to keep playing knowing that the killer can just see me in the lobby and choose to grief me? Is that meant to be a fun experience? I'm autistic. Knowing that a killer can find me and bully me is not fun. It's stressful. Why can't I see the killer's name before the match, that way I can simply leave to avoid them?
You use anonymous mode, that way the killer/other players won’t see your name and can’t open your profile even when they are on same platform.
Does it work on console?
Yup, I'm on PS5 and play in anonymous mode sometimes :)

it was introduced as pc only but there was demand for it on consoles as well.. but I play on pc and haven’t followed it
Thanks, I'll do that. I don't want to spend money changing my ID and get rid of my favourite Claud outfit to avoid receiving more hate from that scumbag.

People tend to have pretty short memories in this game. Like people above stated anonymous mode is your best bet for avoiding people recognizing you, but just know (and I’m not trying to make you feel worse or anything) that there are a lot of people in this game who will do things similar to as you described.
A lot of people take their anger out from real life into this game and sometimes focusing a single person in game because of a perceived (slight), in this case good gameplay, can cause them to have tunnel vision and go strictly for an individual. It’s usually never anything personal, just people being people.
I appreciate the advice. I know most killers are really nice. They don't do stuff like that nasty person did. I am going to use anonymous mode for a while though. As the stress of knowing that they will find me again will make playing this game miserable.

The chances you go up against some one who actually has an issue with you (for what ever reason) multiple times in a row is VERY low even if they tried.
And even then if you're really worried about it, you can put yourself in anon mode
