Hide your name?
I turned this on to share clips without putting my name on stuff.
I thought the whole main point of this was so people couldn't message you or see your name?
So how come a guy was able to message me just now? He said my name was visible the whole game. But on my end it shows me as the character I am playing. I know it works for other people since I see them listed this way all the time.

Anonymous mode is not active on Xbox platforms, so the hide your name, is just hidden for yourself - if you're streaming or recording for example.
It doesn't work on Xbox.
It's only for PS and PC, I think.
Is Xbox the only excluded platform or is it all consoles?
All platforms. Anonymous mode doesn't exactly do wonders for us outside of streaming
Can confirm it works on Playstation 5, likely ps4 as well.
