The sudden rise of Cenobites?
For the past few days I see Pinhead daily, sometimes even 2x per day and before he was pretty rare to see. Maybe it is just my luck suddenly, but he is pretty bad to play againts in soloQ or not cordinated groups because of the cube and if the Pinhead gets to roll the cube (down the person who pick it up to then down the person again who pick it up), it's pretty much gg.

Yeah, I also encounter Pinhead almost once per day. I did not check their Prestige Level, but maybe those are players who want to have Deadlock and Gift of Pain on their other Killers, so they are prestiging Pinhead.
I was thinking maybe it is also because of gen kicking meta being dead, so they play him for extra slowdown with the box.
He's a very good Killer.

I dont know, I would play Wesker for this who is stronger and also has passive Slowdown.
Wesker's slowdown isn't passive, he has to actively attack players with his power to apply the slowdown effect. Pinhead's slowdown is just a timer in the background that the survivors have to reset occasionally.
It is passive. Because they search for the Cases and spray themselves. That you have to use your power should not be any problem at all, unless you want to play Wesker as an M1-Killer. And if you want to do this...well.
