BIG BRAIN Idea, Reworking the Timer

Instead of a timer only for the end game, there should be a timer since the start of the match, here is how it would work...

As soon as the match starts the timer would appear on the top of the screen, it would be a 5 minutes countdown with the same rules that this end game collapse has.

Every match now starts with 4 survivors (guaranteed), meaning that the average match time is 3 minutes from start to end.

It would be a constant pressure for survivors, if they didnt do gens and decided to walk around the match they would die, if nobody gets downed or hooked (so the timer could go slower), the chances of getting killed by the entity would be greater.

This would make most of the matches fun for killers and survivors since they would want to go down in order to slow down the game and if they didnt, there would be that constant pressure.

The countdown wouldnt stop for nothing and they would need to repair 5 gens, open the gates (which are 15 seconds now) and escape before its too late.

No longer we would have to face boring matches where you dont get points because of stealthness and matches takes ages to finish, this would also completely remove the possibility of holding the game hostage on both sides!

  • I have 3 words for you: Three. Generator. Strategy.

Killers like Doctor would become top-tier because they can slow the game down tremendously, without even striking a single Survivor, and that powerful gameslow becomes even more apparent if they can set up a 3-gen strategy early on which this change would encourage. Pig's traps also take valuable time away from the Survivors in this scenario, and could prove to be a bit much.

On top of those difficulties there's the fact that sometimes you have matches where the Survivors aren't super gen-efficient, and those matches can be quite fun because they give you time to play with your food. With these changes you're just encouraging/forcing the absurd speed that game go.

tl;dr: No, it'd be too easy to abuse and encourages the current meta of doing Gens at lightning speeds.

Gens spawning together are extremely rare and if the end game results on only those 3 being together it is a survivors fault ONLY, also, whats the problem of indirectly buffing mid tier killers?

  • Did you call??.. Wait... Let me think on this...

Yeah no.... Killers can set it up to end like that... But it doesn't seem u know how to so you instantly deny it. Gr8

  • Do you report bugs as your name suggests?

Killers can set up it, however its very rare to see them spawning near each other, also, if a survivor is not brain dead, they will gen rush or lure the killer away from those gens at any cost, sooner of later, one of those gens will get done.

I used to report them, but since i started to notice a HUGE delay on simple fixes or the report being ignored, i just gave up on collecting info and wasting my time reporting them.

I agree with @Alther_Primus This would just encourage gen rushing for survivors & gen defending for killers and would discourage killers committing to chases. Why would a killer bother chasing/downing a survivor if all survivors will die if the killer just stalls gen progress for a certain amount of time?

It's because your idea reads like a troll post meant to attract people baffled by the idea and get a rise out of them.
