Dead by Daylight x CortexUS Crossover

Killer & Survivor Builds

🤔Been thinking about this while listening and watching videos on Youtube. Or maybe I just have too much time, idk 😏

Concept Overview:
Following the success of the Iron Maiden and Slipknot collections, Dead by Daylight should collaborate with the independent industrial-metal horror project CortexUS. The "Psycho Circus" neon punk aesthetic matches the Entity’s realm perfectly. This collection focuses on heavy industrial styles, stitched-together cosmetics, and custom chase music tracks.

SURVIVOR OUTFITS & PERKS

Nea Karlsson – "Street Punk Rebel" (Very Rare)

  • Head: Messy, asymmetric neon-purple hair with a black leather face mask.
  • Torso: Shredded denim vest covered in spikes, worn over a black mesh shirt with glowing neon-green body paint underneath.
  • Legs: Heavy steel-toed combat boots and ripped cargo pants held together by industrial safety pins.

Kate Denson – "Dark Country Industrial" (Very Rare)

  • Head: Platinum blonde hair styled in a messy side-shave look with heavy dark makeup.
  • Torso: Black corset over a lace top with a customized studded guitar strap slung across her back.

New Survivor Perks (The Twisted Circus Theme):

  • ⚡ Short Circuit: When a generator you are working on explodes, the Killer's aura is revealed to you for 6 seconds, and the generator loses 5% less progress. (60s cooldown).
  • 🧵 Stitched Together: Gain a stackable 4% bonus to healing and unhooking speeds for every teammate currently injured, hooked, or dying. At max stacks (3), unhooking a survivor hides both of your scratch marks for 6 seconds.
  • 🎪 Center Stage: Press the Active Ability Button in the Killer's terror radius (not in chase) to scream and reveal your location. In exchange, all other survivors gain a 10% repair speed bonus for 20 seconds.
  • KILLER OUTFITS & AUDIO

The Knight – "The Cyber-Enforcer" (Ultra-Rare)

  • The Knight Look: Tarhos wears heavy, rusted steel plating fused to his flesh with glowing neon-purple stitches. His visor is welded shut, replaced by a single pulsing green cybernetic eye.
  • The Sword: "The Industrial Cleaver" – A jagged piece of stage iron wrapped in sparking electrical wires.
  • The Guards: Spawn as holographic, glitching static phantoms wearing spiked leather masks and neon tactical gear.
  • Mori Audio: Replaces the standard Mori audio with a heavy, distorted industrial bass drop.

The Clown – "The Ringmaster" (Very Rare)

  • Description: A shredded neon-purple ringmaster jacket with his midsection bound by thick industrial staples. His tonic bottles glow fluorescent green.
  • Unique Chase Music: Equipping this outfit replaces his standard theme with a heavy, syncopated industrial-metal track inspired by the music of CortexUS.

"The Smoldering Midway" adds completely new mechanics and loops to the game:🎪 Map Name: The Smoldering Midway

  • The Realm: The Psycho Circus (A new standalone realm pulled into the Entity's fog).
  • The Main Landmark: The Burning Big Top. A massive, hollowed-out circus tent frame with purple fire embers floating from the ceiling. The basement or a prominent two-story generator loop can sit right where the center ring used to be.
  • Tile Variations:
    • The Rigged Alley: Rows of broken carnival game booths (from "Pay What You Play") that act as high-wall loops with breakable walls and hidden vault locations.
    • The Reconstruction Shed: A dark, metallic workshop filled with server racks, wires, and melted puppet parts (referencing "Not Broken" and "Cortex Wakes") that acts as a strong shack loop.
  • Map Mechanics: Instead of normal crows, the map could feature static-filled, glowing monitor screens or broken puppet eyes that twitch and glitch out whenever a survivor runs past, giving the Killer a subtle audio-visual cue

Another Map Concept: The Circuit Foundry (Realm: MacMillan Estate)

  • The Vibe: An abandoned industrial metal refinery that the Entity has fused with a neon rave wasteland. The skybox is filled with thick, black smog illuminated by pulsing, flickering purple and green stadium lights.
  • Unique Environment Mechanics:
    • The Main Building: A multi-level ruined warehouse featuring a collapsed stage made of rusted iron scaffolding and broken amplifiers.
    • Dynamic Audio: As generators are completed, the ambient low-frequency hum of the map turns into fragments of heavy industrial-metal riffs. When the endgame collapse triggers, the music hits a distorted, chaotic crescendo.

Survivor Backstory: Jax – "The Broken Instrument"

"The applause was always deafening, but it never managed to drown out the sound of things breaking."

Jax spent years working behind the scenes for the traveling industrial-metal show, moving massive steel trusses, setting up heavy subwoofers, and sweeping up shattered glass after every chaotic performance. To the crowd, the show was an escape. To Jax, the intense bass frequencies and flashing strobe lights were a machine that kept him moving even when his body wanted to give up. He became a fixture of the crew—quiet, reliable, and seemingly stitched together by sheer willpower and black coffee. The night of the final show, everything changed. During the heavy, syncopated climax of Ringmasters Back, a freak electrical surge caused a massive line of stage lighting to shatter simultaneously overhead. Rain of white-hot neon glass flooded the stage. Instead of running, Jax threw himself forward to push a stranded performer out of the way of a collapsing iron support beam.As the beam pinned him down, the world didn't go dark. The heavy, distorted bass line of the track slowed down, warping into a low, rhythmic heartbeat. The smell of ozone and burning stage wires morphed into a thick, suffocating fog. When Jax finally dragged himself out from under the wreckage, the screaming crowd was gone. The shattered stage glass beneath his hands was cold, black obsidian, and the distant hum of a generator echoed through the trees. He was no longer just maintaining the show; he was forced to play a permanent game of survival
