Perk Levels, Add-On Bloat, And Time Consuming Progression.

As more killers and survivors are added, new players struggle exponentially to catch up in progression and learn all the perks and killers. Not only are new players bombarded with things to learn and progression to make before being able to run good builds, but they also are at a disadvantage because their perks aren't level 3.

I understand that leveling perks felt good for progression back when there wasn't a ton of content, but now we have a ridiculous amount of killers and survivors in the game and it just feels like unnecessary bloat and perk inconsistency.

I think it's time to remove perk levels from the game and increase the cost of perks, but not enough to equal the cost of buying it 3 times like it is right now.

As for add-ons, I believe adding 20 for every killer is a bit of a ridiculous standard. It takes up both developer time and player time when they have to buy the next-to-useless filler ones that are often made just to reach 20. I think a lot of killers could have some add-ons combined into 1 and sometimes just removed.

Moving forward, I think add-ons should be made without the number of them in mind so as to remove filler, save time, and make learning the game as a new player less daunting.

  • Medkits, toolboxes and flashlights should be reworked like keys and maps, containing 5 addons and reduce number of those items

There are 4 medkits that only increase 5% to heal speed of others. 3 or maybe 2 would be enough with 5 addons at best

Flashlight count is probably fine, but addons would be easy to rework

And there are 6 toolboxes, make it 4 at best if needed and rework addons removing fillers such as instructions etc

And killer addons reduction would be great as well. 15 max (which would be 1 page) = 1 iri. 3 purple. 3 blue. 3 green, 4 brown. 1event for example
