Selecting where your hex totem is.

What if, at the beginning of the map, we can see all the totems and select any one of them to make it hex?

It will add more depth to the game and make the hex perks more useful, and maybe being able to save a hex perk for a specific time adds more strategies to do, and if you can choose which one any time, that makes the survivors break all the totems (more things to do, less gen-rushing) and adds more value to "Hex: Pentimento".

I really like this concept. Some hex totems spawn in super obvious, out-in-the-open spots right now, so giving killers a way to choose a better totem would make those perks feel way less RNG‑dependent.

Being able to pick and maybe even time when it becomes hex would add a lot of depth for both sides, and it would naturally encourage survivors to do more totem cleansing or be aware of totem locations at the very least incase the killer might have a hex perk.

  • I'm totally digging this idea, honestly.

  • Idk would be nice but also they could finally make better spawns for totems like when I use ruin majority of times its on super obvious spot or it spawns where survivors do which I dont think is good.

  • This is a fun idea but I think it could become an issue with some perks and some maps. Would you choose a totem before a hex like Face the Darkness or Two Can Play activates or after? Being able to slap NOED next to an exit gate or a hooked Survivor could be a real issue as well. Some Killers are really good at controlling areas already and letting them put a strong Hex in the middle of a 3-gen that's also in a Singularity's panopticon or a Hag trap web could be quite nasty.

I do agree that some totem spawns are really bad and could be moved to less conspicuous areas, and/or that more Hexes should only light up after their condition has been met so they can't be cleansed right at the start of the game.
