We really need diminishing returns for regression perks
It's actually crazy that you can down a survivor, trigger Surge/Eruption for 8%/10% regression (can be applied to multiple gens), hook them on Pain Res for 20% regression and then kick that gen with TBTC/PGTW for 10%/20% regression (5% bonus from a normal kick). That's about 40-50% regression up to 4 times per match which basically means TWO extra generators to repair. And even with Pain Res gone after that it's still like 20-30% per hook which most of the time basically adds another gen to complete or even more.
What's the solution?
- Option 1: When you use multiple perks that trigger a regression event, the strongest one stays the same and other perks become weaker and weaker (i.e. Pain Res - 100% value, Pop - 75% value, Eruption - 50% value etc)
- Option 2: When a generator is damaged by the killer, each subsequent regression event on that generator becomes 12.5% weaker until the generator is blocked after 8 regression events (i.e. Normal kick - 5%, Pop - 17.5%, Pain Res - 15%, Surge - 5.4%, Pop - 10% etc.)

We really need diminishing returns for gen rushing
It's actually crazy that you can do a gen in less than 30 seconds by yourself (I have a video of gen being done in 22 seconds by one survivor with diminishing returns being in the game), hyperfocus + stakeout are not affected by dimishing returns. It takes 90 seconds to complete a gen so you can repair THREE extra gens in time it takes to complete one and it's by one survivor but there's 4 so 2 survivors can do the gens in less than 3 minutes (probably 5 and if you think that's long then ds should become shorter) while the other 2 loop the killer (this if killer has no slowdown but slowdown also needs time to activate (loop the survivor down them then hook them which takes more skill than sitting on a gen) and imagine if killer is not tunneling/slugging then it's just impossible to win). Imagine if I said that there should be dimishing returns for stacking like if 4 survivors have ds then it's timer is spread between 4 survivors so 15 seconds of ds only for survivor (btw survivors get 16 perks and killers gets 4 and it's pretty often that 1 survivor perk is equal to 1 killer perk like ds = pain res in strength basically), you wouldn't like that.
If you really think that is a needed feature then I hope you don't complain tunneling and slugging, the game is survivor sided according to stats and facts (I can give a really good example of the game being survivor sided if you need me to).
You're right, that would be crazy if it worked. It doesn't. You can't kick a regressing gen. Also, don't casually refer to eruption and surge taking the same time to setup - that's disingenuous.
If you add diminishing returns to kicks, killers will stop kicking. Don't do that. A cap of 8 regression events is sufficient. As it is the example you cited, which cannot happen due to the kick issue, triggers 3 regression events. Just chug through that gen and bait further regressions and you're done, it's immune to regression.
Yes, the Killer at optimal play keeps you from getting 2 gens in this scenario. A gen takes you 90 seconds unkitted and sloppy clicky to complete. That's 180 seconds longer in the match if you don't overlap their progress time intentionally. I'm not seeing the problem here.
We really just need to get rid of diminishing return. What is the point? Likely they either won't buff the other perks enough in which case they just killed build diversity. Or they will buff them to the point they are all strong individually (probably in 5 years and only half of the affected perks) in which case with diminishing returns the builds will be around the same as before.
But I don't think they can buff them to the strength that running 4 of the same perk would have been before diminishing returns otherwise within the new system, the build would be even stronger. So we're going to be left with a bunch of mid perks and the same but slightly weaker builds than before, assuming they even buff the perks, which knowing BHVR they won't.
Like Boon: Illumination could have had its effect be that when a boon is up, Bless a totem at 50-100% speed. But BHVR thinks for such a weak boon 10% is a perfectly reasonable number. BHVR is king at making perks either way too strong or just utter trash.
