Blast Mine is bugged

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Jill Valentine's perk Blast Mine does not function properly. When activated and installed on a generator, it fails to stun and blind the killer. The perk seems to work inconsistently —only every other time. This issue has occurred repeatedly over several matches

PLATFORM: Steam

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

  1. Repair a generator to at least 40% to activate Blast Mine.
  2. Press F to install the Trap on the generator.
  3. The animation of installing the trap played out, but the flashbang with smoke particles didn't appear on top of the gen like usual. However, the yellow aura of the trapped generator still appeared.
  4. Within 120 seconds, the killer kicked the trapped generator.
  5. Despite the yellow aura still being visible, the killer kicked the generator as usual without being stunned or blinded as intended.

    I thought it was just me!! I had that happen when a Huntress kicked my gen (with Blast Mine) and nothing happened!

    LOl, guys you need to stop immediately thinking that if you dont understand it then it must be a bug. this simply means the Killer was/could have been using "Lightborn Perk".

    over 75% of the bug reports in here can be explained with mechanics the player doesnt understand or doesnt know about. Poor devs :/

    "Lightborn" Perk

    Lightborn is a perk in Dead by Daylight that makes the killer immune to blinding effects from Flashlights, Firecrackers, Flashbangs, and Blast Mines, instead revealing the aura of any survivor who attempts to blind the killer for a duration of 6, 8, or 10 seconds, depending on the perk's tier. This provides a hard counter to flashlight saves and other blinding tactics, though some players argue it can hinder their ability to learn how to properly counter blinding techniques. How Lightborn Works

    • Immunity to Blinds: You cannot be blinded by flashlights, firecrackers, flashbangs, or blast mines while the perk is active. 
    • Aura Revelation: If a survivor tries to blind you, their aura is revealed to you for a short period, allowing you to track them. 
    • Indication to Survivors: Survivors will see a visual and auditory cue, such as a special sound effect, that indicates they were unsuccessful in blinding you. 
    • Source: The perk was initially associated with The Hillbilly, and it is unlocked for other killers by prestiging The Hillbilly.

    Actually so embarrassing 💀💀💀 Being loud and wrong is one thing but backing up your claim with a chatgpt perk description is actually pathetic. This person’s brain is so eroded they didn’t even ask chatgpt if lightborn countered blastmine 😭 just a cluttered description of the simplest perk which does nothing for their argument

    this is incorrect. yes lightborn counters the blind but you still get stunned with blast mine.
