Devour Hope should only light up when you get to Exposed
Although I think the hex should still be destroyed, if a survivor happens to find what looks like a plain totem.
But too many times does DH get destroyed before it actually does anything meaningful. At least Ruin has an immediate benefit, even if it might be short lived.
I think this could work on other hexes like Lullaby or TS, where you need to build up to it before you can make use of it.

well... if its a light up hex perk then from 2tokens + on (on lv3) ... since ... well we all know why
All hexperks should only light up after a while, this would fix a TON and give survivors a secondary objective.
I agree. DH is useless as currently stands. There is pretty much 0% chance of getting 5 stacks during Rank 1 matches.
Nope. After the first unhook, sure. After Exposed? Being handed a free instakill would literally be a midgame NOED with no counterplay, and it would be very easy to get the mori effect afterward. DH is a hex perk for a reason.
Never pickup the higher tiers, tier 1 grants the satisfaction while giving survivors no clues unless they see it.
I think that should count for all Hex Perks;

They should only light up like NOED the moment they start taking effect.
(Only Devour Hope needs a slight adjustment)
This principle works great for all Hex perks.

tl;dr - Different triggers to light the totems custom-tailored to each Hex perk
Also if a killer has DH it’s kind of obvious when they immediately scoot away from the hook, especially if they have no Ruin. Or it’s the Hag.
They're risk reward for a reason and you never complain when they work and you get kills now do you.
And the risk far outweighs the reward for DH (because you need 5 hooks, 2 of which puts survivors on notice before getting to the mori) as opposed to another hex like Ruin, which has an immediate effect every killer that uses it can get something out of (even if it gets destroyed in under 30 seconds.)
Actually that's incorrect because the survivors don't know it's at exposed status unless you down someone with a melee hit. If you locker grab or grab someone trying to do a vault they never get the exposed effect.
the other difference is the DH is an extremely game altering perk more so than Ruin is which is why it's how it is. If it's get changed to this it becomes brokenly op more so than DS is.
