Remove penalties for crashes

Please address wether a player intentionally disconnect from the match or crash. It's not fair to get penalized for frequent crashes and not be able to play the game.

I tried asking bhvr support but they couldn't help and now I'm currently on a 30/45 minutes ban from match making.

  • It's completely fair. If you played any other competitive game, e.g. LoL and CSGO, they will penalise you for leaving regardless of how it occurs. That's because there are other people playing the game with you. It's unfair that they have to play with a leaver.

Also, if they removed crash penalties, people could just abuse it by intentionally crashing their game to DC for free.

  • While in those games it could make a huge difference, in dbd it's not the same. Sometimes bots can patch it up for some matches even tho they still need to be improved.

There are windows APIs to detect if a process has crashed or got killed/terminated, so no abusing (if it's correctly made).

Still think that it's not fair, especially when the support can't help solve the issue.

Players then could just pull the cord out of their routers, way too open to abuse. And I doubt that windows thingy would work for the consoles.

  • We are living in the world where hook leavers won't be penalized because "there is no way to differentiate those who is just bad", yet we'll penalize those who crashes with exact same reasoning of "there is no way to differentiate those who disconnect"

    A little strange I feel
