Hex: Huntress Lullaby Suggestion
Make it to where Survivors don’t get notified that the killer has the perk until the killer gets their 1st token for it. Instead of just getting notified after survivors hits their first skill check on a gen.

That's a funny suggestion actually. If normal hex perks would work like NOED and only turn on (or not at all if all dull totems are gone) when the power has started to take effect.
Your suggestion would mean that in the beginning of the match, the Hex: Ruin totem wouldn't even have to burn, meaning you can't spawn right next to it.
It would only turn on at the exact moment someone would receive their first skill-check.
Your suggestion would completely obliterate the current system that the devs are working on, in which they try to draw lines between survivors and all dull totems to see which ones are in Line Of Sight to prevent them spawning in the vision of a survivor.
That's hilarious. Good job. You outdid the Devs on that one.
Lullaby doesn’t activate until after the killers first hook, but it’s an active hex totem at the start of the game. The difference between that and Ruin is that ruin is in effect the moment everyone spawns in.
I get that. What you suggested is that a hex totem shouldn't light up/be attached, before it starts taking effect, similar to noed.
This would mean that lullaby becomes a hex upon your first hook + first appearing skillcheck.
Devour hope would only become a hex once survivors made a sort of safe unhook.
Hex ruin wouldnt be visible up until the 1st generator skillcheck appears, etc.
With the underlying consistency that a hex perk should only become a hex ONCE it has started to take effect, which is a great idea.
It doesn't matter if you only meant it for token hex perks. It works for all hex perks as it did for NOED.
Imagine that one burning from the start.
Nah ruin is lit from the start of a match, there is no killer/survivor action to activate it. Pointless to have it the way you described anyway, hex ruin would light up a totem within 5 seconds of a match every game as 1 of the 4 survivors touch a gen. Devour and Lullaby activate a totem once a token is obtained. Killers can be hesitant to run any hex's with ruin, since it puts at least half the survivors into "search and destroy" mode for the hex's. So if it was this way and the killer is having a hard time finding survivors, the killer will only lose ruin, and not their other hex totem that has 0 tokens towards it.
This also further incentivizes cleaning dull totems, as now NOED is not the only hex than can activate a totem after the start of a match
@Hex_Flex
Yes, Hex: Ruin in the worst possible scenario will be revealed after 5 seconds. (generally that will be longer), but that is also the time it should be destructible. For a perk that starts taking effect so early in the match there is no other fair way to keep it hidden any longer.
Even those 5 seconds of being unrevealed will allow killers to always have a chance at defending their Hex totem.
You say this as if it's a bad thing? The same happens when Hex totems with tokens only get revealed the moment they have a stack.
Sue me but huntress lullaby is not that of a strong perk, I am actually okay with not being notified by that perk at all and I say this as a survivor. I think that survivors can figure that part out themselves.
I agree with you but the reason it's the way it is, is because you get notified that you're cursed when you're being affected in some way, and lullaby increases the damage done by you failing skill checks, so even if there are no tokens, strictly speaking it's active so you're notified
This right there. I don't even understand why survivors get notified before the perk shows any effetc.
@EntityDeispleased
I hope it becomes so repetitive that they address it. In the time they spent on creating the Light Of Sight mechanic, they could've probably done this instead and have the Hex Perks work significantly better, whether they became lit at the start or during mid-game.
There doesnt need to be a notification AT ALL.
Why is everything handed to you in this game? Why not make them use their own brain and notice that skillchecks appear slightly earlier than they use to.
