Endgame Killers Holding game Hostage
Too many times I have been in games where the killer stands on hatch and afks, blocking the hatch and waiting for the survivor to give their location away. So when there are more than 2 gens left the survivor either gets another gen done, exposing their position, or tries to enter the hatch to which the killer will close and then begin to chase you. This type of gameplay is just straight out boring and undeserving for the killers. Imo if the killer is just going to do this then the hatch should spawn somewhere else instead of the killer going afk for over 30 minutes just to secure a 4k. This type of holding the game hostage scenario is just happening way too often it's crazy.

Just work on gens and force the killer to have to do something. The killer is not in any way preventing you from progressing the game so this is not holding the game hostage.
That's not holding the game hostage you have many options to progress the game
if they just stand there do the gens they ethier will close it stating end game time or stand there to which you do gens an leave.
People still didn't learn what "hold the game hostage" means?
These are both correct. Do gens, forcing the killer to do something.
99 all remaining gens, scout out gate locations, and pop them in the safest order possible. Alternatively pop them so it looks like you are heading towards gate A, then sneak over to gate B.
They're giving you infinite time to work on gens for free, unless they got hyper blessed and got hatch on a hill with vision to all the gens in a 3gen or something just 99% every remaining gen they can't keep an eye on then sneak around popping them if you want.
We dont want to mention the chilling in the gate for nice little teabags, aye?
It's a horror game. Survivors shouldn't feel 100% safe anywhere while still in the match. They never will, but the devs should make the exit gate into a one way path where survivors could still just barely get caught. Anyone downed in an exit gate should be Mori-able. While crawling out should still be possible, the exit should be blocked for the first 6 seconds or so after being downed.
